Since the CDC confirmed the first U.S. case of Coronavirus on January 21, Democrats have introduced both a House and a Senate version of a new massive anti-gun program entitled “Gun Violence Prevention and Community Safety Act of 2020.” Democrat congressman Hank Johnson and senator Elizabeth Warren have introduced these bills, which have not gotten a whole lot of attention as the nation reels from the fallout of Coronavirus.

Irony is almost always lost on abortion activists, especially when they are talking about how important it is to protect people’s lives. They never see that it’s intellectually inconsistent to talk about how much they want to save people’s lives after birth when they are perfectly fine with taking people’s lives before. That’s exactly the issue with comments from Diane Feinstein yesterday. She condemned states that have issued orders stopping abortions, along with other medically unnecessary procedures in order to stop the spread of the coronavirus. In so doing, she said it’s perfectly fine to save peoples lives from COVID-19...

So far as I am aware, Sweden remains the only major Western country that has not imposed a strict lockdown on its citizens to deal with the Covid-19 outbreak. Other than a ban on gatherings of 50 or more people, and advice such as over-70s being urged to stay at home, Swedish schools, shops, restaurants and pubs all remain open. It almost seems to me that the Government there has decided to treat grown adults like they are … well grown adults. However, despite being a sovereign nation, with the right to set its own policy, it appears that this...

Neumünster Zoo in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, has drawn up a slaughter list of its animals as part of its coronavirus emergency plan. “Yes, we do have a list of animals that we would have to slaughter first,” said Verena Kaspari, director of Neumünster Zoo, confirming initial reports in German media. The animals on the list would be fed to the zoo’s lynx, eagles and “Germany’s biggest polar bear” Vitus, who is 3.6 meters (over 11 ft) tall. Goats and deer are on the slaughter list “but none of the endangered animals,” Kaspari explained. “It’s a worst-case scenario, we don’t see it...

A leading German epidemiologist who predicted the coronavirus crisis in Europe is now calling for governments to end the lockdown. Prof Alexander Kekulé warned the virus was about to engulf Europe and publicly urged Angela Merkel’s government to start screening international travellers as early as January. But he now believes the lockdown is in danger of going on too long and causing more damage than the virus, and has drawn up a plan for how it can be safely lifted. “It’s impossible to wait for a vaccine,” Prof Kekulé told The Telegraph. “The quickest we could have a vaccine ready...

April 15, 2020 Medical updates In the British Telegraph, Professor Alexander Kekulé, one of Germany’s leading microbiologists and epidemiologists, calls for an end to the lockdown as it causes more damage than the virus itself. In people under 50 years of age, severe disease or death are „very, very unlikely“. The general population should develop rapid immunity, while risk groups should be protected. One cannot wait for a vaccine, which will take at least six to twelve months, but must find a way to live with the virus, Professor Kekulé said. The German Network for Evidence-Based Medicine reports that the lethality...

Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) announced Wednesday that the city's stay-at-home order would be extended through May 15 as the coronavirus pandemic continues to hamstring the nation's capital. The extension applies to all social distancing guidelines that Bowser had already put in place, meaning that schools and nonessential businesses will stay closed. Bowser said that the city would need to see a continuous two-week decline in hospitalizations and positive tests before considering relaxing measures. Additionally, Bowser said that D.C. residents must now wear some sort of face covering or mask at hotels and in taxis and rideshares. The city's...

As Rahm Emanuel would say- "Never let a pandemic go to waste." democrats are reveling in this crisis. They glory in the country's misery. There is no concern for the country, only for power and leverage. It becomes very apparent with their actions, which speak far more loudly than anything they can say. Mitch McConnell wanted to add $250 billion more to the Relief Bill and democrats blocked it. “We need more funding and we need it fast,” McConnell said on the Senate floor, according to CNN. “I want to add more money to the only part of our bipartisan bill...

Sweden has banned public gatherings of 50 or more people and closed high schools and universities to curb the spread of the coronavirus, but for the most part its residents are free to go about their normal lives. While Swedes are still out and about, residents of France and Italy are subject to fines and jail time if they leave their homes for an unapproved reason under the countries' respective lockdown measures

Headlines worldwide are announcing that the United States has more coronavirus deaths than any other country. As of early Tuesday morning, Johns Hopkins University reported that the United States had 21,662 deaths. That’s ahead of both Italy (20,465) and Spain (18,056). Many use the number of deaths as a measure of how the U.S. is faring relative to other countries, but that is extremely misleading. It would be the same comparing the number of rapes in Sweden and the United States. For example, while Sweden had 5,960 rapes in 2014, the United States had 84,767. But does that mean that...

Opening windows in buildings, including our homes, may prevent the spread of the coronavirus, scientists believe Experts in health, the built environment and microbiology at the University of Oregon and the University of California, Davis, made the recommendations by reviewing existing studies on germs including SARS-CoV-2 (the virus which causes COVID-19 disease). They also looked at data on other members of the large coronavirus family of bugs which trigger severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS). They published their findings in the journal mSystems

Almost 8-in-10 Americans want immigration to the United States paused during the Chinese coronavirus crisis as unemployment reaches record levels, a new poll reveals. A newly released Ipsos poll finds Americans are almost totally unified in their support for pausing immigration in the midst of the coronavirus crisis and mass unemployment. Overall, about 79 percent of American adults said they want immigration temporarily paused to the U.S. — a policy far beyond just the travel bans that have been implemented on Chinese, Iranian, and European travel to the country by President Trump’s administration. […] As Breitbart News chronicled, pauses on...

Germany’s Angela Merkel announced a plan to start easing lockdown measures, with some businesses and schools set to start working on May 4. At the same time, the social distancing is set to stay in place and Germany’s government will “strongly recommend” to people to wear face masks while grocery shopping or in public transport.
