Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) on Wednesday scolded progressives who may “plan to sit this election out or vote for Trump.” She issued her warning after Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) announced the suspension of his presidential bid, begging them to remain active and “fight like hell” to oust President Trump and “end the rise of fascism in this country.” Sanders formally ended his year-long campaign on Wednesday, conceding that the path to the nomination simply is not feasible. He tried to encourage supporters, reminding them of their greater movement and contending that they are “winning the ideological battle.” Omar, one of...

The INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, is temporarily closing most of its facility due to a mass decline in patients, it confirmed on Wednesday. The postponement of non-emergent surgeries and procedures, according to the hospital’s statement, “has led to a declining census at both facilities.” Therefore, to better consolidate resources, the bulk of the 238-bed acute-care facility is temporarily shutting down, with the exception of the emergency room and “some Radiology and infusion services,” according to KFOR. Last month, Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt (R) issued an executive order postponing all elective surgeries and minor medical procedures through...

Q Ping - NEW THREAD Proverbs 3:1-2,24 ESV My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you… If you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. I request that all are careful to post links rather than graphic images directly on FR. We're not all on the same playing field; among us are those who have already witnessed too much horror, are already carrying too many emotional burdens, or/and are...

A sex spell designed to force a man into bed with his female admirer has been discovered on an ancient Egyptian papyrus. The newly-translated spell demands that a man called Kephalas face 'anxiety at midday, evening, and at all times' until he has sex with a woman called Taromeway. It also features a crude drawing of the naked Kephalas, his genitals grossly exaggerated, as he's shot with an arrow by the ancient Egyptian god of the dead, Anubis. The 'erotic-binding spell', apparently commissioned by Taromeway herself, was likely placed in a tomb where it was meant to summon the ghost...

Dr. Anthony Fauci did it again. The first time Fauci was noted signaling to his allies in media was when he signaled to ABC’s Jonathan Karl after an antagonistic exchange with President Trump at a task force briefing [SEE HERE]. Today, another briefing, and CNN’s Jim Acosta had a similar antagonistic exchange with President Trump. Once again Dr. Fauci hangs back to give Acosta a similar signal. Subtle like a brick through a window. WATCH:

The guiding principle here is that, as a rule of thumb, companies only pay full retirement benefits after 30 years of employment. 25 years ago the United States was going through utility "deregulation". The secondary energy industry had been a much larger segment of the American market until deregulation. As it turns out competition for employees before deregulation had driven retirement benefits to levels which were unaffordable under post-deregulation profits. With deregulation many secondary energy companies laid off large numbers of employees before they could attain full retirement. That all happened about 25 years ago. Doesn't it seem curious that...

Animal rights groups are praising China following the introduction of a draft law to reclassify dogs as pets, rather than livestock. “As far as dogs are concerned, along with the progress of human civilization and the public concern and love for animal protection, dogs have been ‘specialized’ to become companion animals, and internationally are not considered to be livestock, and they will not be regulated as livestock in China,” read a statement issued by the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture, published on Wednesday. Livestock animals are defined as those that can be bred for food, milk, fur, fiber and medicine. The...

CNN anchor Chris Cuomo thoroughly embarrassed his New York governor brother Andrew on the air by pulling up an unflattering family photo from the politician's teenage years. The brothers engaged in another round of playful sibling banter on Wednesday night during Cuomo Prime Time, which Chris has been hosting from his basement for the past week while he battles COVID-19.

Attorney General William Barr expressed concerns in an interview on Wednesday that “draconian” measures to slow the spread of the coronavirus will come at the cost of freedom for the American people. “I’m very concerned about the slippery slope in terms of continuing encroachments on personal liberty,” Barr said. “I do think during the emergency, appropriate, reasonable steps are fine.” Barr said in the Fox interview that the Justice Department will continue to track any actions that “restrict people’s liberty.” The restrictions have not only limited personal freedom, but have also devastated the American economy, with millions of jobs lost...

Seems like President Trump can get away with saying and doing just about anything he wants. The extent to which he has achieved that end is demonstrated by the credit he is getting for his handling of the coronavirus crisis. Trump, in truth, has contributed more to the confusion and disruption plaguing the country’s response to the pandemic than any other public official in the land. Yet he was able to call in to “Fox & Friends” last Monday morning and brag, “I’ve gotten great marks on what we’ve done with respect to this. I’ve gotten great marks.” He happens...

Democrat presidential hopeful and former Vice President Joe Biden appeared to have trouble making a point about past pandemics, the Civil War, coronavirus, democracy, elections and public health on Sunday during an interview on ABC'S “This Week” with Host George Stephanopoulos. After comparing the Civil War to ‘the pandemic of 17, all the way around, 16,” Biden said “We have never, never let our democracy sakes second fiddle” before saying something about how the U.S. can “correct the public health” despite democracy and elections: “We cannot let this, we’ve never allowed any crisis from the Civil War straight through to...

A $250 billion urgent request to shore up a depleting small business fund failed to pass the Senate Thursday after Democrats objected to the measure pushed by the White House and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. With lawmakers home and social distancing, McConnell sought to pass the cash infusion swiftly Thursday by unanimous consent with a skeleton group of senators, but Democrats blocked the effort because they want add-ons to help businesses in disadvantaged communities and an additional $250 billion in funds for other priorities. The extra funding is being sought amid concerns that the original $350 billion program to...

The Bolsheviks took over Russia pretending to have widespread popular support. In fact, a tiny cult had seized power against the will of the vast majority. To hide this nasty reality, "the leading Bolsheviks instituted propaganda on a governmental level. While propaganda had been around for a long time, the Bolshevik innovation consisted in assigning propaganda a central place in national life: previously employed to touch up or distort reality, in Communist Russia propaganda became a surrogate reality." That's the essence of Lenin's Train: it's another world. The key weapon in its influence is agitprop, a portmanteau for "highly politicized...

Pope Francis says coronavirus may be ‘nature’s response’ to climate crisis An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth and a global pandemic for a natural disaster. Pope Francis said in a new interview published Wednesday that he believes the coronavirus outbreak is “nature’s response” to humans failing to save the ecosystem. “We did not respond to the partial catastrophes," the Pope said in an email interview in The Tablet and Commonwealth magazines. “Who now speaks of the fires in Australia, or remembers that 18 months ago a boat could cross the North Pole because the glaciers had...

Researchers have demonstrated the ability to implant an ultrathin, flexible neural interface with thousands of electrodes into the brain with a projected lifetime of more than six years. Protected from the ravaging environment of internal biological processes by less than a micrometer of material, the achievement is an important step toward creating high-resolution neural interfaces that can persist within a human body for an entire lifetime. The human body is an unforgiving place to live if you're an uninvited guest—especially if you're made of polymers or metal. Besides attacks from the surrounding tissues and immune system, foreign objects must be...

[Catholic Caucus] De Mattei: An Easter that will go down in history… Easter Week 2020 is destined to go down in history - for its exceptional nature - like that day in February 2013, when Benedict XVI announced his renunciation of the Papacy. A mysterious thread seems to link these two events. The same sense of emptiness connects them. Benedict XVI juridically renounced the Petrine Mandate, without explaining the legitimate moral motives that might shed light on his extreme act. Pope Francis, for his part, juridically conserves this mandate, but doesn’t exercise it and even seems to want to strip...

J. Arthur Bloom said Wednesday that American media outlets doing the bidding of the Chinese might not be entirely ideologically driven. Bloom, a Daily Caller alum and managing editor of The American Conservative, told Fox News host Tucker Carlson that Comcast had business ties to Beijing that could explain the company-wide trepidation in directly challenging the coronavirus claims coming out of China. Carlson, co-founder of the Caller, began the segment by noting that anti-Trump bias could be driving some media outlets to side with China, but Bloom said that at least with regard to Comcast — parent company of NBC...

VIDEO The biggest fear that the mainstream media has during the current crises is that President Donald Trump will have been proven RIGHT by touting hyrdoxychloroquine treatment aka Trump Pills which could end up saving thousands of lives. Therefore they are now desperate to slam the treatment recommended by Trump while absurdly hyping other unproven treatments whose primary advantage in their eyes is that they were not recommended by Trump. TDS has gotten so bad among the media that they have now become flat out science deniers by wanting to deny people access to a treatment that can save...
