RUGGLES TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WJW) – An Ohio man says local officials cut a building in half to end a property dispute with him. It happened in Ruggles Township following a complaint by Brett Galloway, who contends township officials constructed a building that was partly on his property. “It is pretty much the most ridiculous thing ever,” Galloway told WJW. He said he has tried negotiating with township leaders since January, but last week, when they didn’t reach an agreement, officials put up a fence and cut down part of the building. About a third of the building still remains on...

The activity of the “small group” of coup plotters consists of three generalized subsidiary agencies: (1) DOJ/FBI, (2) CIA/ODNI, and (3) The State Department. Within each “small group faction” a years-long review of their narrative constructs shows the groups have specific and unique media outlets for their offensive (’16, ’17) and defensive (’18, ’19) propaganda efforts.

An Illinois school district's leaders heard from upset parents after the children started talking about what they were learning about LGBT sex in school. They responded so badly, they should resign.Last week I wrote about a suburban Chicago school district’s Oct. 7-11 week of LGBT curriculum as an example of what the state legislature has required all Illinois public schools to teach starting next July. Although the Evanston/Skokie school district is in a very liberal area, not all parents were comfortable with their preschoolers being taught, among other things, that polyamorous families are equivalent to families of sexually faithful married...

At every mile marker of the 2019 Chicago Marathon, Jimmy Choi dropped to the ground for a burpee—complete with push-up—and then jumped back up on his feet before he got back to running. For each mile marker on the course, he did that same number of burpees—from one on the first mile to 10 on the 10th, all the way up to 26 on the 26th mile—adding another hard effort to the already grueling marathon distance. By the time Choi, 43, reached the finish line in 5:56:03, he had completed a total of 351 burpees in addition to running 26.2...

The Sooner Schooner had a scary moment after Oklahoma’s fourth touchdown of the day against West Virginia. As is custom at Oklahoma home games, the Schooner took a quick lap on the field after the score. But as the schooner made its turn back toward the tunnel the radius was a little too tight and the schooner took quite the tumble.

The #MeToo movement has ended the U.S. career of legendary 78-year-old Spanish tenor Placido Domingo, one of classical music’s greatest ambassadors and impresarios. For nearly half a century, Domingo’s intense stage presence and warm, soaring voice captivated opera audiences; during the 1990s, he reached millions of new listeners as a member of the itinerant Three Tenors. In recent years, long after most singers have retired from the stage, he has continued a grueling international performance schedule, now singing baritone roles with remarkable pitch control and legato. Domingo’s entrepreneurial drive has been as untiring as his stage career. He was pivotal...

Kids’ television shows aren’t what they used to be, an entertainment watchdog group says in a new report that notes a dramatic rise in violence and profanity in programs rated TV-PG. In TV programs sharing a comparable rating to Disney films, words such as “suck/blow,” “hell/damn” and “bitch” and voyeur-style violence are appearing increasingly, the Parents Television Council says in a study released Tuesday. The study compared 2017-2018 sweeps episodes rated TV-PG (appropriate for children with parental guidance) with similar programming from a decade earlier. It found that violence and foul language have crept into family programming without any resistance...

Late yesterday – just before the midnight deadline stipulated by 'wrecker' MPs – a total of three letters were due to be sent from the Government to Donald Tusk, the president of the European Council. The first was the letter demanded by the Benn Act, which asks the EU to delay Brexit beyond the October 31 deadline – but not signed by Boris Johnson – using the exact wording specified in the legislation. The second was a covering letter, written by Sir Tim Barrow, the UK's Permanent Representative in Brussels, which made clear that the first letter was from Parliament,...

[Catholic Caucus] "More Than I Would Have Expected" - Marx About Abolishing Celibacy at Synod he Amazon Synod's delegates are discussing abolishing priestly celibacy „more than I would have excepted,“ Munich Cardinal Marx told journalists in Berlin (Katholisch.de, October 16).Marx that mariage-priests [who contradict the Gospel] and [invalid] female deacons are “not only” wanted by the Germans but also by “many” Latin American prelates.Retired Bishop Erwin Kräutler who calls baptism a "symbol of colonialism," recently estimated that two-third of the Synod's bishops want to abolish celibacy. This is no surprise as these bishops were chosen among the Church's most anti-Catholic and...

Hillary’s accusations that Tulsi Gabbard is a Russian tool and Jill Stein is a “Russian asset” is so bizarre, so wild, that it leads me to wonder: (a)is she is mentally ill, or (b) is she a Russian asset; Putin's puppet? Keep in mind that Hillary Clinton has been a major public figure for decades. ... Speculation on this subject is now no longer out of bounds since her accusation is being amplified in the "respectable" media. Millions of Democrats believe her. Making accusations that politicians are Russian assets, or “puppets,” now mainstream. They are widely believed by the press...

NEW YORK, NY—Lots of people think that baseball is boring, criticizing the game for long pauses between pitches and lots of annoying, dull things like "strategy" and "thinking." The MLB is looking to appeal to these people, announcing in a press conference today that they will be replacing all umpires with bears. While the bear umpires have been tested in triple-A ball for some time now, the rule change will first take effect in the majors during this year's World Series. Instead of calling balls and strikes, the bears will usually just eat the catcher, batter, pitcher, and most of...

YOU ARE NOT SUPERMAN There are times when some events of life overwhelm us. Things at home or things at work can drain us. Sometimes we sense an urge to be "Superman" or even "God". We want to "fix" things or "make everything better." In reality, this feeling can be the source of great stress and tension. We sometimes have to admit that certain things can't be fixed; certain things will not go away. Got a problem, talk about it. It may not get "fixed" or go away, but you will feel better! CAPT Thom Dansak,...

A review launched by Attorney General William Barr into the origins of the Russia investigation has expanded significantly amid concerns about whether the probe has any legal or factual basis, multiple current and former officials told NBC News. The prosecutor conducting the review, Connecticut U.S. Attorney John Durham, has expressed his intent to interview a number of current and former intelligence officials involved in examining Russia’s effort to interfere in the 2016 presidential election, including former CIA Director John Brennan and former director of national intelligence James Clapper, Brennan told NBC News. Durham has also requested to talk to CIA...

[Catholic Caucus] Prayers needed as 6th ‘gay priests’ conference descends on Wisconsin next week October 18, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) — New Ways Ministry’s “Retreat for Gay Priests, Bishops, Brothers, and Deacons” AKA the Portal of Hell, will be occurring again this year at the Siena Retreat Center in Racine, Wisconsin, October 22 through 24. Yes, “Portal of Hell.” What would you call it? 1. The authentic Catholic Church has always been luminously clear about the grave depravity she recognizes homosexual activity to be. (See The Catechism of the Catholic Church, paragraphs 2357, 2358, and 2359.) 2. The Church recently reiterated (pp. 78–83) her...

Former secretary of state and 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton claimed Tuesday that the Russians are propping up U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii for a third-party presidential run in 2020. “I’m not making any predictions, but I think they’ve got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate,” Clinton said of Russia’s involvement in the next presidential election on former Obama White House advisor David Plouffe’s podcast. “She’s the favorite of the Russians.” During the interview, Clinton also branded former Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein...

Inspired by the climate activism of a Swedish teenager, Jane Fonda says she’s returning to civil disobedience nearly a half-century after she was last arrested at a protest. Fonda, known for her opposition to the Vietnam War, was one of 17 climate protesters arrested Friday at the U.S. Capitol on charges of unlawful demonstration by what she called “extremely nice and professional” police. Fellow actor Sam Waterston was also in the group, which included many older demonstrators. Now 81, Fonda said she plans to get arrested every Friday to advocate for urgent reduction in the use of fossil fuels. She...

When tens of thousands of African-Americans held the keys to their first homes in the early 1970s as part of a new federal program that encouraged black homeownership, they thought they were about to fulfill the American dream. Instead they got an American nightmare. The story begins with the urban uprisings of the late 1960s, which were reactions to decades of poverty, racism and a lack of opportunity. According to the Kerner Commission, a major cause was government-sponsored housing segregation that had confined African-Americans to rental housing in urban neighborhoods while subsidizing white flight to the suburbs. Black people, too,...

Mr. Trump accelerated the movement of working-class voters into the Republican Party, creating a GOP that now represents more middle- and lower-income Americans … He has reframed much of the Republican agenda to appeal to these voters, particularly on trade, immigration and foreign affairs, in many cases upending 40 years of GOP policy. In turn, the Democrats are increasingly the party of America’s wealthiest cities, post-industrial business leaders, and the “woke” professional class. This political transformation, however, means that U.S. college graduates have few friends in Washington, D.C., to protect their economic interests in a shifting economy. The WSJ provides...

On Friday, ITV news released a clip from an upcoming documentary which showed Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, holding back tears as she acknowledged the challenges she's faced as a newlywed and mother in the spotlight. "Thank you for asking. Not many people have asked if I'm OK, but it's a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes," she said, before confirming, in the words of her interviewer, that she "isn't really OK." It's no surprise that Meghan is struggling. Our society's lack of concern for the well-being of new moms is terribly disturbing — and it's even...
