Buckingham Palace aides are advising the Queen's guests not to mention Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during their audience with Her Majesty, it is claimed. With the Duke and Duchess of Sussex grabbing headlines around the globe each day, many household guests are keen to discuss the young Royals with the monarch. But flunkies have allegedly begun to clamp down on this popular line of questioning and are informally steering visitors on to more 'polite' conversation topics, it is claimed.

I didn’t watch the last Democratic presidential primary debates because I figured that without Tulsi Gabbard in there shaking things up it would be a boring, vapid parade of insubstantial verbal foam, and I love myself too much to go through such a horrible ordeal. By all accounts my prediction was correct, but I did miss one thing that’s been making the rounds in video clips for the last couple of days which I find absolutely bizarre. [Snip] Most of you have probably heard about Biden’s infamous "record player" comment by now, but for those of you who missed it,...

Boris Johnson dramatically pulled out of a press conference in Luxembourg today after protests and an extraordinary spat with counterpart Xavier Bettel. Protesters carrying messages including 'Bog Off Boris' first jeered the PM after showdown talks with EU commission president Jean-Claude Juncker over lunch at a restaurant. And Mr Johnson then faced cat-calls from a crowd including British ex-pats as he arrived for a meeting with Luxembourg counterpart Xavier Bettel. The stormy atmosphere led to Mr Johnson requesting the press call be held outside following their private discussions. It was originally planned to be held just yards from the demonstrations....

The late Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez in the mid-2000s attempted to coordinate with Colombian guerrillas to flood the United States with cocaine, according to federal prosecutors' documents obtained by The Wall Street Journal. According to the documents, former Venezuelan Supreme Court Magistrate Eladio Aponte took part in a meeting where Chávez in 2005 convened his closest advisers to draw up plans to ship cocaine to the United States with the help of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC). O’Rourke’s oft-repeated “Hell yes, we're gonna take your AR-15” line, a phrase many would consider a threat in and of itself, Cain tweeted his own version of ‘come and take it’ right back at the former Texas congressman: “My AR is ready for you.” While gun grabbers were apoplectic about a perceived “threat” and Twitter obediently deleted the tweet for what it called a violation of its “rules for threats of violence,” Second Amendment supporters came to Briscoe’s defense, calling the phrase well within the bounds of First Amendment protected speech.

The short-lived new "allegations" against Supreme Court Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh were so weak that Senate investigators didn't follow up on them during the confirmation process, author Carrie Severino said Monday. "This is the weakest of the weak type of allegations. It's really a shameful attempt to reignite these smears against Judge Kavanaugh that are utterly baseless," said Severino, the founder of the Judicial Crisis Network, on "Fox & Friends." Late Sunday, the New York Times walked back an explosive report about a resurfaced allegation of sexual assault by Kavanaugh from his college days. The Times piece by Robin Pogrebin...

New York is set to become the second state in the United States to ban flavored e-cigarettes after Gov. Andrew Cuomo used executive power to outlaw the sale of the products amid rising concern over its health effects and youth vaping. The Democratic governor announced an “emergency executive action” to ban all flavored e-cigarettes besides tobacco and menthol, and said he was worried the products were causing a nicotine addiction among young people. “Manufacturers of fruit and candy-flavored e-cigarettes are intentionally and recklessly targeting young people, and today we’re taking action to put an end to it ,” he announced...

The democrat party has swung so far to the left such that in contrast "my people" Eric Holder appears to be a moderate. Holder is no stranger to controversy: Yet they're making Holder look good. Pretty much all 2020 dems want to do away with ICE and destroy the country by decriminalizing illegal border crossing and eliminating borders. Recently Holder said that that might not be a good idea: Former Attorney General Eric Holder is defending the Obama administration against criticism from the left about its deportation efforts while warning Democratic presidential hopefuls that the U.S. needs borders. "The...

Morning Joe might have been more motivated by concern for Democrats than with upholding journalistic standards. But the show did today rip the New York Times for its "glaring omission" in failing to include in the original version of its article about a new accusation against Brett Kavanaugh the fact that the alleged victim doesn't want to speak and that friends say doesn't recall the incident. Joe Scarborough also criticized the Times for failing to mention that the person who brought forth the new allegation, Max Stier, was on the other side from Kavanaugh in the Ken Starr probe into...

On Hong Kong the Pope Is Silent. Obedient to Beijing Silence on everything that could irritate the Beijing authorities is certainly one of the many prices that the Holy See has agreed to pay, to keep from breaking up the fragile accord on the appointment of bishops that it sealed on September 22 2018 with China. It is a silence to which the first to submit is Pope Francis, usually extremely talkative about everyone and everything, but who on the popular protests that have been raging in Hong Kong for three months has not said word one.And yet from the beginning...

BT has signed a deal with Australian company DroneShield, which has worked with the British Army. Its DroneGun Tactical weapon shoots rays to take down a target from more than a mile away. BT will also offer clients use of the DroneSentinel, which can track a pilot operating the drone up to three miles away. The tech could have avoided last year’s Gatwick drone saga which cost police up to £900,000 — with nobody brought to justice. Eco-activists were arrested last week amid fears of travel disruption at Heathrow.
