Mike was a Christian corrections officer who converted to Islam in 2001. After spending several years as a committed Muslim, he began to doubt Islam. He watched videos and read articles that challenged his faith. Discussions with Christian apologist Joe Carey and ex-Muslim Abdu Murray increased his doubts about Islam, and a dream about Jesus affected him deeply. Mike returned to Christ in 2013.

Testimony

Mike is an ex-Muslim of 12-years; however, he was not always a Muslim. At one time he was a Christian minister in the Restoration Movement, but he never had a living relationship with Jesus. He was led astray while in Bible college at the age of 23 years-old. Mike accepted Islam in June of 2001.

He became a Muslim Chaplain, but in time, he started to see a side of Islam that disturbed his soul. Mike started to re-examine the Christian faith, but Islam had a psychological hold on him. Mike wrote an article defending Islam in response to the 10th anniversary of 9/11, titled, "Murderous Muslims Defy the True Teaching of Islam." Joe Carey refuted the article. Mike and Joe eventually became friends and Mike was introduced to an ex-Muslim turned Christian apologist, Abdu Murray. Mike had many theological discussions with Joe and Abdu.

Unbeknownst to Mike, Abdu and Christian apologist Josh McDowell prayed one night for Jesus to appear to Mike in a dream because intellectually, he was having a tough time surrendering to Christ. That same night, Mike had a dream in which Jesus appeared to him and this shook his foundation in Islam. By the grace of God, Mike surrendered his life to Jesus on January 26, 2013.

Sounds like Mike either had sincere folks praying for him or he was born from above before drifting into the religion of satan. Since we are told in The Word of God that those born again are God’s workmanship and that parents are to raise up the child int he way that should go, Mike had a Heavenly Father Who would not leave him to flounder in apostasy, so He, GOD, hounded him back into living within the family values (that Hound of Heaven does more than just search out the lost, He works on the sheep who drift from the sheepfold).

We are all called individually - one at a time - and this is the beginning of a life long relationship with Jesus. Anything less is not Christianity.
Pray to know Him and He will respond - try it!!

I laid my hands on my wife and she was miraculously healed. This happened twice. Once 19 years ago and once six months ago.

38 years ago my wife was in her car yelling at God for taking her husband with Leukemia. Until, from behind her, with an audible voice, he said, “Be at peace, child”, and peace washed over her like warm water.

We Christians have a personal relationship with our creator.

I’m very surprised to hear he was a corrections officer that became an ass-lifter. I was a CO in NJ for 25yrs and it’s where I was exposed to the scourge of humanity called islam. Wtf was he thinking? Of all the groups/gangs in prison, the muslims were by far, the most difficult to deal with. I could write a book about all the stuff I used to do to piss them off.
