PINSON, Ala. – Randa Ragland opened her mailbox in late July to find a letter from a neighbor, with no return address and no name. Just words — hurtful ones. The letter accused Ragland of not caring about her Pinson, Alabama, home. “Your eyesore is affecting the resale value of OUR homes,” it said. “Do better!!!” “So many things, bad things, had happened right before I got the letter,” Ragland said. “I just didn’t have the energy to be mad.” Her husband lost his job. She received some news regarding her health, and her 3-year-old son was battling cancer. Jaxen,...

Faithful readers of The New York Times were probably surprised on Wednesday when reading its political column "The Upshot" as it examined both President Trump's favorability and job approval ratings. The column is titled "Don’t Assume Trump’s Approval Rating Can’t Climb Higher. It Already Has," and it provides some sobering analysis for the increasingly hostile Trump haters: Donald J. Trump doesn’t always seem like a candidate focused on expanding his base of support. He may have done so anyway. The share of Americans who say they have a favorable view of him has increased significantly since the 2016 election. And...

Canadian journalist Jackson Proskow was lucky enough to experience something truly amazing today. Please take a moment to read it: I’m at the airport in Dallas, waiting for my flight home to DC from El Paso, and something incredible is happening. Our incoming plane is carrying the remains of an American pilot shot down over Vietnam in 1967. His remains were only recently recovered and identified and brought back to the US. As we wait at the gate, we’re told that Captain Knight is coming home to Dallas. When he left from this very airport to fight in Vietnam his...

The revolution has been canceled, or at least postponed for a while. Apparently, we are told, there were some “unforeseen setbacks.” That’s the vague explanation provided for the catastrophic failure of Woodstock 50, a doomed attempt at recreating the famous 1969 music festival in upstate New York for its 50th anniversary. Michael Lang, a cofounder of the original Woodstock and the mastermind behind this recent planned reincarnation, endured months of nightmarish organizational impediments — bureaucratic issues, lagging enthusiasm, and the withdrawal of a host of significant investors and performers — before ultimately throwing in the towel earlier this week.

Major League Badebwll will build it, and the Yankees and White Sox will come. The clubs are headed to heaven — err, Iowa — in August of 2020, where they’ll face off at the location of the iconic baseball film “Field of Dreams”, MLB announced on Thursday morning. A temporary, 8,000 seat stadium will be built at the site of the 1989 movie starring Kevin Costner, according to ESPN. The announcement was made with Yankees star outfielder Aaron Judge partaking in a scene from the movie, where he asks the famous line “is this heaven?” originally said by Ray Liotta’s...

Earlier this year we completed a yearlong survey and analysis of troll propaganda coupled with online radicalization--and the growth of terrorist communities.  That research was published in the U.S. Army cyber defense review and includes a conversation that Spans from ISIS, to white supremacists and the newer left-wing radical groups, including ANTIFA.While ISIS was on a decline, in terms of their global physical presence, we saw a significant uptick in  their recruiting --both online and on the dark web.  In the middle of this-- ISIS came to the international spotlight by changing the nature of recruitment and how terrorism was...

Blessing was only six years old when her mother arranged for her to become an unpaid housemaid for a family in the Nigerian city of Abuja, on the promise they would put her through school. In her home town in southwest Nigeria, her mother had trouble making enough money to feed her three children. But when Blessing arrived in Abuja, instead of going to school, the family worked her round-the-clock, beat her with an electrical wire if she forgot one of her chores and fed her rotten leftovers.

Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee posted a lengthy political rant on Tuesday, and he appeared to say ‘McPence’ is in the closet, though it may have been just part of his insult. Tommy Lee revealed an awful paycheck from Motley Crue’s ‘The Dirt’ yesterday. “You Trumpsters better pray that liberals never gain control of the WH [White House] again because we are going to pay you back so f**king hard for all of this shit. Planned Parenthoods on every damn corner. We’re going to re-paint Air Force One, pussy hat pink and fly it over your beloved Bible Belt six...

The legislation could affect everything from what paper gets used in state offices to what gets served in California cafeterias. ============================================================ In an effort to cut carbon emissions and forestall the climate crisis, California legislators are pushing a new law aimed at helping limit deforestation around the globe. The proposed bill, called the California Deforestation-Free Procurement Act, or AB 572, would require companies that contract with the state to certify that their products do not cause the cutting of sensitive tropical forests or the destruction of boggy peatland soils in tropical regions — both of which contain enormous stores of...

George Conway, a vocal Trump critic and the husband of White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, tweeted a political cartoon Wednesday with one panel showing President Trump encouraging a gunman in the wake of mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, over the weekend. One side of the cartoon shows Trump telling a gunman phrases from his campaign and public comments about undocumented immigrants, such as “Build the wall,” “It’s an invasion” and “They’re criminals.” The other side shows the president yelling “You’re mentally ill!” at the gunman with the two surrounded by dead bodies. The cartoon, from the...

This week, The New York Times caved to online bullying and changed a headline for an article covering President Donald Trump's remarks after the horrible shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio. The original headline, "Trump Urges Unity Vs. Racism," was met with outrage on social media by those on the left. During the day, the hashtag #CancelNYT began trending. The headline was changed to "Assailing Hate but Not Guns." So, if the headline was initially wrong, what did Trump say on Monday in response to the shootings? Trump noted that the El Paso shooter had "posted a...

The Justice Department has filed a lawsuit against former Trump aide and reality TV star Omarosa Manigault Newman for allegedly failing to file a required financial disclosure report after she was fired in 2017. The civil complaint alleges that the former “Apprentice” star “knowingly and willfully” failed to “file the required public financial disclosure report after her employment terminated with the Executive Office of the President.” In addition, the lawsuit states that Manigault Newman was given a “post-government employment briefing” in December 2017, following her firing, in which “she was advised of her obligation … to file a termination financial...

A new poll shows that a majority of black and Hispanic voters support presidential candidates who are against illegal immigration. Respondents to a Harvard/Harris X poll (pdf) were asked about two possible presidential candidates. One “stands for the green new deal on climate change, Medicare for all, free college tuition, opening our borders to many more immigrants and raising taxes to pay for these programs.” The other “stands for lower taxes and reduced government regulations, strengthening our military, strengthening our border to reduce illegal immigrants, standing up more to China and Iran, and seeking better trade deals for the US.”

Louis has been feeling sad, but since he's a straight white cis man, he shouldn't be. Because they don't have problems, right? Have no fear: the Social Justice Warrior therapist is on the case. Sexism, racism, and violence lurk under Louis's meek façade (probably). And only the SJW Therapist can help him. If Louis could just admit his privilege, he would realize how insensitive his depression and thoughts of suicide really are. How PC are your psychological issues? Let us know in the comment section! And don't forget to like the video, share it with your friends, and subscribe to...

David Dell’Aquila filed a federal class-action lawsuit in Tennessee and fired off letters to the attorneys general in New York and Washington on Wednesday, urging them to complete investigations into the NRA well before the 2020 election. “We feel that the NRA no longer represents its membership and has been corrupted by those in control,” said Mr. Dell’Aquila, who has given about $100,000 worth of cash and gifts to the group in the last several years and — until recently — had pledged most of his estate to the group when he died. The lawsuit is the latest headache for...
