Team manager Scott Servais announced that Haniger was placed on the 10-day injured list after sustaining a serious injury during Thursday’s game against the Houston Astros. He didn’t have a timetable for Haniger's recovery but said he doesn’t “imagine he's going to be doing anything for a couple weeks." The 28-year-old outfielder sustained the unusual injury during the 3rd inning when a fouled fastball from Justin Verlander appeared to strike Haniger directly in the groin. He was seen falling over before struggling to get up, using his bat for help. He remained in the game until the 7th inning.

The part that came next was the true shocker as it revealed the former vice president is taking advice these days from one of the stars of “Charmed. A Texas prosecutor said Friday that investigators have linked more than 60 killings in at least 14 states to a 79-year-old California inmate who may be the most prolific serial killer in U.S. history. Ector County District Attorney Bobby Bland said Samuel Little continues to cooperate with investigators from around the country who interrogate him in prison about cold case killings dating back to the 1970s. Among those who spoke to him were investigators from Ohio, where Little grew up and where he’s suspected of killing at least five women. Little was convicted of killing three Los Angeles-area women and...

“Our expectation is that Mexico will do what they’ve committed to do and our expectation is that we won’t need to put tariffs in place, but obviously if that’s not the case, the president retains that authority,” Mnuchin told Reuters. Trump announced Friday evening that the U.S would “indefinitely” suspend planned tariffs against Mexico, which were scheduled to go into effect on Monday. In return, Mexico agreed to deploy its national guard to crack down on Central American migrants travelling through the country on their way to the U.S. southern border.

As an Irishman, I’m embarrassed at the treatment of the President of the United States on his recent visit to Ireland. His shabby reception in Ireland contrasts sharply with the red carpet treatment in London. Media reports that the Leo Varadkar (the Irish Prime Minister/Taoiseach) refused to meet at the Trump resort at Doonbeg. The hostile media is having a field day with this. Vox reported President Trump will meet the Irish prime minister -- at the airport. Trump reportedly wanted to go to his golf course in Ireland. The Irish government said no. So they’re meeting at the airport...

Special Counsel Robert Mueller warned Americans about the critical threat of Russian attacks on U.S. democracy in his recent valedictory press conference. Mueller’s statement is the latest alert on the urgent requirement for a comprehensive and tough national security strategy to deter and respond to future assaults on the U.S. Constitution by foreign entities. Part One of Mueller’s report on Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election describes a brazen, wide-ranging attack by the Putin regime on the U.S. democratic system of government. Mueller found that Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. national election was sweeping and systematic. In part...

VIDEO The creator of the Dilbert cartoon strip, Scott Adams, who has an amazingly accurate track record for his predictions has predicted the demise of both Vox and the Daily Beast within a year. A big part of the reason is that both these outlets, especially Vox, have been at the forefront of promoting widespread censorship on YouTube and the rest of the social media.

Peter Zeihan video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bclcp... (Note - I disagree somewhat with his analysis of American electoral politics; Hispanics are *not* going to start voting majority conservative. Why? Because identity politics - racial identity - is a more powerful psychological force for most people than anything else. And nonwhites vote majority left primarily for this reason. Nothing the right wing can do will change this dynamic.) On MARK MY WORDS I discuss how the American Right will win: 1. Abandon FAILED AND INCOMPLETE STRATEGIES: - Classical liberalism, libertarianism, tolerance, civic nationalism, full-franchise democracy 2. Analyze HOW THE CIVIL WAR WILL PLAY OUT...

Ruth Bader Ginsburg gave credit to her fellow Supreme Court justice Brett Kavanaugh on Friday, touting the court's newest member for boosting the number of female law clerks serving the court. Ginsburg, in prepared remarks to a conference for judges in New York, noted that while women have made progress towards equal representation among the court's clerks there are areas where improvements are still needed. "Justice Kavanaugh made history by bringing on board an all-female law clerk crew. Thanks to his selections, the Court has this Term, for the first time ever, more women than men serving as law clerks,"...
