Baylor University Prayer Denounces “Straight White Men” FROM TODD STARNES: “God, give them the moral imagination to reject the old keys we are trying to give them to a planet that we are poisoning by running it on fossil fuels and misplaced priorities – a planet with too many straight, white men like me behind the steering wheel while others have been expected to sit quietly in the back of the bus,” the minister prayed. One session revealed this week involves Trisha Anderson, an FBI lawyer who signed off on the Carter Page warrants. She testified in August of 2018 on her role and what she knew regarding how the process went down. In her testimony, she alleges that the application process for the FISA warrant was handled in an “unusual” fashion and that numerous Obama era FBI officials were involved at the highest levels in pushing it through. But Anderson stressed “in this particular case, I’m drawing a distinction because my boss and my boss’ boss had already reviewed and approved this application.” She...

-(Ammoland.com)- When various far-left ecology and animal rights groups such as the Sierra Club, the Humane Society of the United States, the Center for Biological Diversity, submitted a petition, calling for the mandatory carry of bear spray by hunters, it made national news. The petition was submitted to the Idaho Fish and Game Commission and others. The petition claimed that “Studies show that bear spray is far more effective than firearms.” That claim is not correct. The petition was written about in several Idaho outlets, and nationally. The Commission turned down the request that the carry of bear spray by...

More than 600,000 migrants arrived in the United Kingdom in 2018 — akin to the population of a city the size of Belfast. Al Gore's Masculinity Adviser Naomi Wolf wrote a book about "forbidden love" or whatever. A central claim of her book is that people were executed in England for sodomy as late as the 1830s. She bases this on seeing the words "death recorded" on a number of sodomy cases. It turns out "death recorded" doesn't mean that the prisoner was executed, but that the possibility of a death sentence was noted, and then the judge pardoned them. This is the central claim of her book and she didn't bother to look up the meaning of the phrase. She just... guestimated....

Germany's government commissioner on anti-Semitism has warned Jews about the potential dangers of wearing the traditional kippah skullcap in the face of rising anti-Jewish attacks. "I cannot advise Jews to wear the kippah everywhere all the time in Germany," Felix Klein said in an interview published Saturday by the Funke regional press group. In issuing the warning, he said he had "alas, changed my mind (on the subject) compared to previously." Klein, whose post was created last year, cited "the lifting of inhibitions and the uncouthness which is on the rise in society" as factors behind a rising incidence of...

Nearly one-fifth of Ukraine parliament members have co-signed a draft resolution urging their new president to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and move the embassy there, JTA reported Friday. Parliament calls on “the President of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to transfer the Embassy of Ukraine in the State of Israel to its capital, the city of Jerusalem,” reads the explanatory note to the bill. The embassy is currently in Tel Aviv. A vote has not yet been...

DARPA, the Department of Defense's research arm, is paying scientists to invent ways to instantly read soldiers' minds using tools like genetic engineering of the human brain, nanotechnology and infrared beams. The end goal? Thought-controlled weapons, like swarms of drones that someone sends to the skies with a single thought or the ability to beam images from one brain to another. This week, DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) announced that six teams will receive funding under the Next-Generation Nonsurgical Neurotechnology (N3) program. Participants are tasked with developing technology that will provide a two-way channel for rapid and seamless communication...

WASHINGTON — President Trump tried somewhat clumsily last year to revoke the security clearance of the former C.I.A. director who played a role in opening the Russia investigation. He then wanted to release classified documents to prove he was the target of a “witch hunt.” Both attempts petered out, hampered by aides who slow-rolled the president and Justice Department officials who fought Mr. Trump, warning he was jeopardizing national security. But this week, Attorney General William P. Barr engineered a new approach. At Mr. Barr’s urging, Mr. Trump granted him new authorities to examine the start of the Russia investigation,...

Patricia McCarthy has an interesting take on the standoff between the president and Congress: it's part of a conspiracy to sicken America with a "truth-resistant cancer" based on hatred of Trump for his "many successes: record-low unemployment, a roaring economy, his unwavering support for Israel, the revitalization of manufacturing in the U.S., tax cuts that have worked spectacularly on several levels." Her metaphor of cancer is powerful and spot-on. Let's extend it. Democrats hate Trump not really for his successes or any of that. They hate him just because they hate him. No reason, no rationale, no thought. Three years...

The Pope as Politician; The Politician as Pope A striking role reversal is taking place in the public domain: politicians want to talk about morals and moral leaders want to talk about politics. We have Pope Francis recently saying that nation states must yield their sovereignty to “intergovernmental institutions that manage their common interests.” And a homosexual politician who aspires to lead America proclaims that committing sodomy with a man he calls his “husband” has “moved me closer to God.”The Pope has identified “climate change” as a threat to the “common good” and declared himself convinced of this by having examined...

A former Republican lawmaker who served for 17 years in the House of Representatives called Trump an “illegitimate president” and said he should be impeached. “I’m calling for impeachment now because the Mueller report is out, and in it [special counsel Robert Mueller] describes 10 obstructions of justice charges that he could not bring because of a Department of Justice rule and regulation that says you can’t indict a sitting president. That’s number one,” former Rep. Tom Coleman, who represented Missouri from 1976 to 1993 in the House, told CNN’s Erin Burnett. Coleman also said that Trump is an “illegitimate...

Just 10 minutes before we spoke over the phone, Baltimore area-based artist Kate Kretz received a call from Benicia’s Jen Tough Gallery. She said they want to show her art in an upcoming exhibition this July. Her work is called ‘The MAGA Hat Collection’, part of a larger ongoing so-called #bullyculture series. But images of her work have led to her Facebook account to be disabled. The hats from her collection--bold and crimson colored-- are the exact shade of red as any President Donald Trump MAGA hat--that’s because they’re actually made of them. One piece, “Hate Hat,” is actually more...

Police officers across the country are celebrating Theresa May’s resignation, having been thoroughly alienated by the Prime Minister in her previous role as Home Secretary under David Cameron. Theresa May presided over massive cuts to police budgets and manpower during her tenure, and made “taking on” the Police Federation which represents rank and file officers up to Chief Inspector one of her signature stances — although she seemingly enjoyed a more collegial relationship with politically correct senior officers, such as Metropolitan Police chief Cressida Dick.
