Ex-GOP Lawmaker: Trump Is “Illegitimate President,” Should Be Impeached
Slate ^ | May 25, 2019 | Daniel Polity

A former Republican lawmaker who served for 17 years in the House of Representatives called Trump an “illegitimate president” and said he should be impeached. “I’m calling for impeachment now because the Mueller report is out, and in it [special counsel Robert Mueller] describes 10 obstructions of justice charges that he could not bring because of a Department of Justice rule and regulation that says you can’t indict a sitting president. That’s number one,” former Rep. Tom Coleman, who represented Missouri from 1976 to 1993 in the House, told CNN’s Erin Burnett.

Coleman also said that Trump is an “illegitimate president” because he welcomed help and influence from the Russians in his campaign.” Coleman cited as an example the way his then campaign chairman Paul Manafort shared information with a “Russian intelligence asset” during a meeting in New York. “It’s wrong and it needs to be handled and looked at by the Congress because I believe it’s an impeachable offense,” he said.

The real point is that the Dems have infiltrated the Republicans many years ago, so they can find out from the inside what they are planning to do, their concerns, and so they can come out and attack, as this guy is doing now. "I am a Republican, but..."

People like this need to be found and thrown out of the R party ASAP.

“Rep. Tom Coleman, who represented Missouri from 1976 to 1993 in the House”

Primary example of why we need term limits.

“People like this need to be found and thrown out of the R party ASAP.”

He got ousted by the voters of Missouri. He was defeated for reelection back in the early 90’s.

1993 was when I retired from the Navy. Clinton was a new president and Gingrich was a rabble-rouser. This man was significant, if at all, 5 or 6 political generations ago.

Loud and clear: Both Mueller AND Barr said clearly that they did not factor in the DOJ rule that you may not indict a sitting President. They both ruled there was insufficient evident to recommend criminal charges for Obstructing (regardless of Trump being President).

The media and dumasses who never bothered to read the report or any summary, just keep repeating the false narrative that he only walks because he is in office. False! Lie! Stop it!

I suppose the feels that Hillary! is really the legitimate POTUS. I mean that’s the only conclusion one can come to. Shame it didn’t work out that way.

This GOP creep works for a lobbying firm that specializes in lobbying for foreign governments. He is the poster child for being a free traitor!

Some foreign government is probably paying him to say this!

I find the constant posting of #neverTrumpers comments quite boring... When I’ve heard something more than 100-times it exacerbates my already fully developed paranoia about trolls...

He’s probably mad that he didn’t get a sinecure or other appointment from Trump; shows the quality of the “Republicans’ from that era, which is how we ended up with the Bushes as failed presidents.
