Monmouth University Confirms Student Is No Longer Enrolled After Racist Video Resurfaces

At least three different New Jersey universities are investigating a now-viral video in which students are heard repeating a racial slur.

According to BuzzFeed News, the probes were launched in recent days after Monmouth sophomore Scharina Bencosme shared the video on social media. The footage, which was captured on Snapchat, shows a group of young men and women in a circle, taking turns using the n-word.

Some protesters and activists want to protest in the towns where most of the students live, a place called South Amboy, NJ.

Why is this shocking and outrageous? In groups of black youth, you will hear that word repeatedly. So what is the problem here?

Yet when a bunch of Black and Hispanic kids start using the N word nothing will happen. I travel for work and whether it’s New York or Los Angeles, and everywhere in between, I hear young people of color using that N word all across the country. Where is the outrage from Black politicians and commentators about this? Oh, but let a white kid say the word and all hell breaks loose. Tired of this double standard.

first of all, apparently freedom of speech is not allowed on the campus (Not that i like what hhe said- but it’s just words- despicable as they may be)- second- will they expel black students that call white people derogatory names? If these words are so offensive that ONE single use of them, even when not directed at any person or used offensively, is cause for all of the above, then why are songs filled with this word for sale and played on every streaming service CONSTANTLY.

For instance: this YouTube video of Tupac's hit song "All Eyez on Me" has over 2.5 Million views on You Tube. One assumes if the use of the N word was so horrible then it would have been removed by now. By my count this single song contains thirty separate uses of the forbidden word.

Lantsman is equivalent to fellow country man re place of origin aka irish, german or religion .. Jewish, Catholic, etc but in an European context.
