CNN laid off almost all of its health care coverage division Tuesday, in a move the network called a “crazy rumor” less than three weeks ago. While Dr. Sanjay Gupta is expected to keep his job, most of the rest of the division, based out of Atlanta, were released. Fox News reported: TVNewser, a media watchdog site started by CNN’s Brian Stelter, managed to get confirmation from the network — just in time for a Friday news dump. “As part of the normal course of business, our newsgathering team made a small restructure earlier this week that ultimately impacts 6-7...

Former CIA Director John Brennan and former DNI James Clapper blasted President Trump on Friday night for directing Attorney General William Barr to declassify documents related to the surveillance of his campaign during the 2016 election, calling it "outrageous." "I see it as a very, very serious and outrageous move on the part of Mr. Trump, once again, trampling on the statutory authorities of the Director of National Intelligence and the heads of the independent intelligence agencies," Brennan told MSNBC host Chris Hayes. "And it's unclear to me what Mr. Barr is actually going to do. Is he investigating a...

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump, declaring a national emergency because of tensions with Iran, swept aside objections from Congress on Friday to complete the sale of over $8 billion worth of weapons to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. The Trump administration informed congressional committees that it will go ahead with 22 military sales to the Saudis, United Arab Emirates and Jordan, infuriating lawmakers by circumventing a long-standing precedent for congressional review of major weapons sales.

U.S. District Judge Haywood Gilliam, Jr., on Friday immediately halted the administration’s efforts to redirect military-designated funds for wall construction. His order applies to two high-priority projects to replace 51 miles (82 kilometers) of fence in two areas on the Mexican border. Gilliam issued the ruling after hearing arguments last week in two cases. California and 19 other states brought one lawsuit; the Sierra Club and a coalition of communities along the border brought the other. His ruling was the first of several lawsuits against Trump’s controversial decision to bypass the normal appropriations process to pay for his long-sought wall....

As things unravel further, they’re likely to get nastier. In part that’s because the FBI doesn’t just hate the Department of Justice. If the Page-Strzok texts are any indication, the bureau doesn’t much like the State Department either. “DOJ is a wild pain in the ass,” Strzok texts Page. “Not as bad as State, but still.” Faced with sending some documents about the Hillary email investigation to Foggy Bottom, Page texts, “I’m not giving State an advance warning. F them.” Strzok responds, “And yes, totally. F State. No heads up.” Former FBI lawyer Lisa Page: “We both hate everyone and...

It's a widely accepted piece of TV ratings dogma that same-day numbers represent a starting point, not the complete picture for a given show. What's also true, however, is that in 2018-19, the starting point for nearly every returning broadcast series retreated from the previous season. In fact, only 10 percent (10 of 102) of veteran series increased or held steady with their same-day adults 18-49 rating from the 2017-18 season. The Hollywood Reporter's comparison includes same-day ratings for all original episodes of series that aired more than one episode in the 2018-19 season, including those coded as specials. Only...

...WHAT TO WATCH FOR: Far-right extremist Tommy Robinson (real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon) is standing as an independent. He needs huge individual support to win - we're talking hundreds of thousands of votes. So if he does win it will be a vast blow to anti-fascist campaigns in the UK. ..

A federal judge issued a preliminary injunction on Friday, partially blocking President Trump's plan to fund a border wall with Mexico using money from the Defense Department. California U.S. District Court Judge Haywood Gilliam, who was appointed by former President Obama, issued the order, which does not fully halt construction but would limit additional border fencing to specific areas. It would also block the transfer of about $1 billion in Pentagon funds from various projects to pay for the construction of a wall. Gillam argued "irreparable harm" would result if the administration were allowed to proceed while the case is...

If anything, the Trump era is serving as an object lesson in how utterly biased the so-called “mainstream media” has become over the last several decades, acting more as the propaganda division for the Democrat Left than serious news organizations. Case in point: The media-generated ‘controversy’ over POTUS Donald Trump’s sharing on Twitter of an edited video showing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi stuttering and stammering over her words — something that has become quite common for her in recent years. The Washington press corps leaped at the president on Friday after he shared, and commented, on the video, asking why...

Not long ago, few Americans of the thinking persuasion might have imagined that such a well-engineered republic, with its exquisite checks and balances, sturdy institutions, and time-tested traditions would end up as so much smoldering goop in a national dumpster fire, but such is the sad state-of-the-union moving into the fateful summer of 2019. The castle of the permanent bureaucracy is about to be torched by an uprising of deplorable peasants led by a Golden Golem made furious by relentless litigation. It’s Game of Thrones meets the Thermidorian Reaction with a Weimar-flavored cherry on top — really one for the...

Among children reported as likely victims of child sex trafficking upon running away from home, most have one thing in common—they were supposed to be looked after by the government. In 2014, some 10,000 endangered runaway children were reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), a nonprofit that serves as a clearinghouse for reports on missing children. Nearly 1,700 of them were likely victims of sex trafficking and of those, 68 percent were in the care of social services when they went missing, be it a group home, a government facility, or foster care. While these...

President Trump’s trip to Japan started with a bang – a magnitude-5.1 earthquake centered near the golf course where he and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe are set to play golf Sunday. The temblor, which rattled Tokyo just hours before Trump’s arrival, briefly halted nearby bullet trains, but did not derail the leaders’ plans for their first meeting of the four-day visit, which will take place at the Mobara Country Club in Chiba. Later, the leaders will attend a championship sumo wrestling match, where Trump will award the “President’s Cup” to the winner. The trophy is 5 feet tall and weighs...

Some food for thought on Equal Pay Day, April 2. White men who ask for a raise are 25% more likely to get one than people of color, a recent study concludes. And yet white men believe they face an uphill battle in corporate America in 2018. An engineer who was fired by Google GOOG-0.64% for circulating an anti-diversity memo sued the company in January, alleging that the tech giant discriminates against white, conservative men. He’s likely not alone in that belief. There are other white men working in tech who believe their gender and race are making it difficult...

A woman missing for over two weeks in the Makawao Forest Reserve on Maui, Hawaii, has miraculously been found alive, a family friend and rescuer confirmed to ABC News. Amanda Eller had been missing for 16 days when she was found in good condition at about 5 p.m. local time. "We found her in a stream bed, she was waving up at us while we were in the helicopter, and we got her out nice and safe," Chris Berquist, who was in the helicopter, told ABC News Radio late Friday. "She was not injured. She has a little bit of...

3 And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name. Leviticus 20:3-5 King James Version (KJV) If anybody questions the cult of Marxism they only have to look at the worship of abortion. After nearly a hundred years of being told the baby is a random glob of cells, science is proving just the opposite. While nobody believes their excuse they are still selling the mother has the right to kill her...

NEW YORK, NY—A new report out of well-known political lecture show Saturday Night Live indicated Friday that the series will undergo a drastic genre change, shifting to a comedic format. Insiders claim the series will attempt to have jokes, funny skits, and clever writing. It's a major change for the series, since it pretty much just lectures you on what to believe politically at this point. "We wanted to try something different," one SNL writer said. "I know that just having angry, nonsensical lectures against the right has been a really popular format for the 682 viewers we have left,...
