Instead, Team Trump will follow the lead of the White House on policy, according to Trump campaign officials. GORMANIA, W.Va. -- Life here along the North Branch of the Potomac River is very different than life 162 miles downriver. There is raw natural beauty that takes your breath away. Under your feet flows the Potomac, above you the Allegheny Plateau, and the ascent toward Mt. Storm beckons with forests filled with red spruce, balsam fir and mountain ash. Hawks and eagles float above you. Snakes, deer, squirrels and bears walk or slither past you. Then there's the tragic beauty in town. Along U.S. Route 50, buildings that once held banks and stores and homes stand as memorials of...

“In college, I was left of center,” explained James Comey in an interview with New York magazine, “and through a gradual process I found myself more comfortable with a lot of the ideas and approaches the Republicans were using.” Comey voted for Jimmy Carter in 1980, but says that four years later, in 1984, “I voted for Reagan — I’d moved from Communist to whatever I am now. I’m not even sure how to characterize myself politically. Maybe at some point, I’ll have to figure it out.” Comey was once a communist. And look deeper at his statement: “I’d moved...

Lambart and her colleagues from Wales and the Netherlands, sought to discover what the mantle looks like before it rises as lava at a mid-ocean ridge. They examined cores, drilled through the ocean crust, to look at cumulate minerals: the first minerals to crystallize when the magmas enter the crust. They analyzed the samples centimeter by centimeter to look at variations in isotopes of neodymium and strontium, which can indicate different chemistries of mantle material that come from different types of rock. The amount of isotope variability in the cumulates was seven times greater than that in the mid-ocean ridge...

Hypocrite Abdur Rahman al-Ghani posts cartoon portraying Jews behind ISIS. The South Florida Muslim Federation (SFMF) Facebook Manager, Abdur Rahman al-Ghani, has bought into many conspiracy theories about Jews, that Jews are demonic and evil, that Jews control the world’s banks and media, that the vast majority of Jews aren’t really Jewish to begin with. So when al-Ghani, last month, posted a cartoon on his Facebook page insinuating that Israel was behind ISIS, no one would think, at first glance, that he was doing something out of the ordinary. The result was released a day ahead of schedule in the early hours of Tuesday, amid fears of unrest. Around 32,000 security personnel were deployed across the capital Jakarta, AFP news agency reports. The latest vote followed a bitter campaign in which religion played a key role, but independent observers have said it was free and fair. On Friday police said they had arrested dozens of suspected terrorists with links to Islamic State (IS), some of whom had allegedly planned to bomb political rallies when the vote result was released. The same day, the US embassy issued a travel warning...

We are fragile mortals, given to fears of every sort. We have a built-in insecurity that no amount of whistling in the dark can mollify. We seek assurance concerning the things that frighten us the most. The prohibition uttered more frequently than any other by our Lord is the command “Fear not.” He said this so often to His disciples and others He encountered that it almost came to sound like a greeting. Where most people greet others by saying “Hi” or “Hello,” the first words of Jesus very often were “Fear not.” Why? Perhaps Jesus’ predilection for those words...
