Rather than going directly to veterans groups, 100% of online donations on Trump's pro-veterans site will go directly to Trump's personal foundation. After ducking the final Republican presidential debate heading into next week's Iowa caucuses, GOP front-runner Donald Trump announced that he would hold his own pro-veterans event during the debate to raise money for veterans. Trump even set up a special website to solicit donations to help veterans. "Honor their valor," the website, donaldtrumpforvets.com, states. "Donate now to help our Veterans." The website, which is nothing more than a single page with stock photos and a credit card donation...

A mail from the Cargo Systems Messaging Service of the US Customs and Border Protection dated to this Saturday, and revealed by Channel 1's "Mabat" show on Thursday, shows the US is now required products from Judea and Samaria to be labeled differently. In new instructions on marking requirements sent out to American importers, goods from Judea and Samaria are not to be marked "Israel." Those who do not comply are to be sanctioned. "West Bank Country of Origin Marking Requirements," reads the title of the mail, which begins by clarifying that "the purpose of this message is to provide...

In November 2014 the OPEC countries met in Vienna and agreed to keep pumping oil to maintain their market share rather than cut production to support the oil price. In a post written a month later I addressed the question of how these countries were positioned to withstand an extended period of low oil prices and high budget deficits. More than a year has now passed, so it's time to take a look at how they have done so far and to see what their actions presage for the future. Results to date: OPEC is known to have suffered economic...

Army Human Resources Command has recommended that the Green Beret who confronted an Afghan police commander for raping a young boy be kicked out of the service. Rep. Duncan Hunter (R., Calif.), who has pushed back against the Army’s decision to punish Sgt. 1st Class Charles Martland, revealed the development in a letter to Sen. Pat Roberts (R., Kansas) Wednesday. “Recently, a decision within Army Human Resources Command recommended that the Army uphold the judgment that Martland be removed from service, although a final decision has yet to be made about his future,†Hunter wrote. While serving in Afghanistan in...

The announcement from Donald Trump's campaign that the Republican frontrunner will "definitely not" partake in Thursday night's Fox News debate has sent shock waves throughout the nation's political scene. At a press event Tuesday evening, Trump seemed to cite disparate treatment from the network as his reasoning for not participating. "What's wrong over there, something's wrong," Trump said of the "games" Roger Ailes and the network are "playing." In asking the question of "what's wrong over there?" Trump has shined a spotlight on one of Washington's best kept secrets: namely, Fox's role via its founder Rupert Murdoch in pushing an...

Fox News and Google have invited three YouTube personalities to ask questions at the Jan. 28 GOP debate including a Muslim advocate who describes Donald Trump as a bigot and who visually portrayed him as being in agreement with national socialist Adolf Hitler. We have a presidential candidate whose loudest message reeks of hatred and Islamophobia… turning on the news now is scary, and oftentimes, humiliating, the Muslim woman, Nabela Noor, says in a December YouTube video.

Trump continues to display a galloping megalomania, a petty, vindictive, nature, and above all, a complete, total, and utter unfitness to be President of the United States. Unable to let the slightest perceived insult escape his attention, Trump, the other day, resumed his "war" with Megyn Kelly by deciding to opt out of tonight's FOX NEWS debate. OK, while many think it's a very dumb move, and could hurt his campaign, some feel it's a brilliant stroke. We shall see.

If you attend a presidential campaign event, you may come across someone wearing colonial garb or an Uncle Sam costume or body paint. But a Ted Cruz rally in Iowa last weekend featured something possibly unprecedented: guys dressed up as Royal Canadian Mounted Police. This was not a random choice of attire. The guys in scarlet tunics were protesters, who passed out copies of Cruz's Canadian birth certificate to highlight the questions about his eligibility for the American presidency. The Constitution says the president must be "a natural born citizen" of the United States. There is no dispute that the...

In short, this (anonymous) person said, the Republican Party had been a stool supported by three legs: national defense, free-market economics, and social values. But the person said that thanks mostly to President George W. Bush, the party has failed on the first two legs. The country has shifted significantly on the last one, and there's nothing a Republican candidate can do to change it. As a result the Republican Party is in disarray, and Trump is taking advantage.

California, which boasts more than half of the households with solar panels in the United States, on Thursday extended a policy that has underpinned the rooftop solar industry's dramatic growth over the last decade. The 3-to-2 decision by California's Public Utilities Commission at a meeting in San Francisco to extend net metering was a major victory for the solar industry, including companies like SolarCity Corp, Sunrun and SunPower Corp . Net metering allows homeowners with solar panels to sell the power they generate but don't use back to their utility at the full retail rate, sometimes giving them a credit...

Royal Dutch Shell is switching its trucking fleet to more liquefied natural gas-fueled vehicles in Houston and Louisiana as more companies increasingly move away from dirtier diesel fuel. The use of LNG and compressed natural gas -- another new CNG fueling station opened Thursday in Houston -- in commercial vehicles has rapidly expanded because of the nation's cheap and bountiful supply of natural gas. Shell said Thursday it partnered with Miami-based Ryder transportation company for 15 new, heavy-duty LNG trucks to support its oil and gas logistics operations in Houston and Lafayette, Louisiana. The 15 new trucks will replace diesel-fueled...

The Houston-based oil field services company, which is being acquired by its competitor Halliburton, reported a loss of $2.35 per share during the three-month period ending Dec. 31. A new ad that brutally exposes Donald Trump's hypocrisy vis-a-vis illegal immigration did not come from any of his current opponents, but rather Our Principles PAC, an anti-Trump group led by former Mitt Romney aide Katie Packer. The ad opens by asserting that the reason Trump is skipping Thursday"s GOP debate is "Trump can't handle tough questions, like why he'd let millions of illegal immigrants stay in America and even supports a pathway to citizenship." The ad then shows Trump addressing a Chicago audience last June, sounding as if he endorsed giving illegal immigrants a path to citizenship. Trump lectured,...
