Norway offering sex ed for Islamic migrants I must admit I laughed yesterday to read an article from the New York Times saying that Norwegian "refugee" officials had, rather tentatively and with many apologies, launched "training sessions" for their Islamic migrants in European standards of sexual behaviour. This was admitted to be an effort to try to teach them "right from wrong." Cynic that I am, my first thought was, "Do you know?" I suppose it requires the point of view of a traditionally-minded Catholic to see the bizarre irony of the morally bankrupt European secularists preaching their deranged version...

When ABC first announced The Real O'Neals, about a gay teen coming out in a Catholic family, backlash from religious groups was swift and somewhat expected. Given that the story is based on the life of Dan Savage - the gay author and sex columnist who's been somewhat gleefully confrontational with conservatives - and the family is in the midst of a divorce too, groups like the American Family Association could, in theory at least, rightfully believe the show was trying to shred the traditional values they hold dear. That couldn't be further from the truth.

Editor's Note: Our friend, Dan from Squirrel Hill, has updated his list to 1,063 documented examples of Barack Obama's lying, lawbreaking, corruption, cronyism, etc. He began with 252 examples, then quickly grew to 504 and later to 694. In November 2014, he added more than 200 more examples of the usurper-in-chief's unlawful acts. By May, that number had grown to 1,063. (Too heavy a post. Review the enormous list at link)

Monday the Supreme Court hears oral arguments in a case that could bring freedom from forced union fees to teachers and other public employees across the country. In Friedrichs v. California Teachers Association, Rebecca Friedrichs is asking for the right to choose whether to pay a labor union. Because California isn’t a right-to-work state, she has to pay nearly $1,000 per year in union fees in order to teach. Those mandatory fees, the legal reasoning goes, are permissible because they cover costs CTA, CTA’s local chapter, and the National Education Association incur representing nonmembers. Forced union fees cannot be spent on...

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP — A municipal court judge ordered a Margate firefighter to surrender his public employment following his conviction last month for shoplifting $7.98 in items, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office announced Friday. The prosecutor's office handled the conviction of Ashton Funk, 34, and was also pushing for the forfeiture of his job as a firefighter and as a lifeguard, also for the city of Margate. The prosecutor's office sought Funk's removal from his $78,000-a-year firefighting job because he had been found guilty of a crime involving dishonesty, authorities have said. The prosecutor's office also took over the case...

In the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, to be guilty of conveying a death-threat that results in a murder is itself a capital offense.Let's reverse that principle: Any citizen should be granted the same immunity as sworn officers, who justifiably uses lethal force to defend a Law Enforcement Officer himself suffering the threat of lethal force in the performance of his duty.

Veteran GOP strategist Alex Castellanos, a self-confessed "card-carrying member" of the Republican establishment, has written an interesting take on the coming presidential primaries. Snippets: ...our most likely matchup is Cruz v. Trump down the home stretch.... Today, Cruz has one-third of the GOP, Trump has a third, and the remaining establishment third is split between Rubio, Bush, and Christie. Even if the establishment lane comes together, it's still two against one. The GOP has become an outsider's party. Trump's legacy and that of the 2016 "outsiders" will be lasting. For the near future, the GOP will be a more Trump-like,...

WASHINGTON (AP) - A Syrian scientist stricken with cancer and seeking a new start for his family in Michigan will represent Syrian refugees as a guest of first lady Michelle Obama for the president's final State of the Union address. President Barack Obama has committed to accepting an additional 10,000 Syrian refugees, but some Republican lawmakers and presidential candidates are critical of the expansion. Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz, for example, noted the recent arrest of two Iraqi refugees.

A senior White House official described as "maddening" Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman's boasts about sending illegal narcotics to America, but he declined to say Sunday if actor Sean Penn faced potential legal liability for meeting with the fugitive drug kingpin. Denis McDonough, the White House chief of staff, was asked on several TV talk shows Sunday about Guzman's recapture on Friday and the surprising disclosure that Penn had interviewed him at length in October for a potential film project.

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz speaks to a crowd gathered at Kings Christian Bookstore in Boone, Iowa, on Jan. 4, 2016. Cruz kicked off a six-day, 28-county bus tour across Iowa in a push to reach out to voters before the state's first-in-the-nation caucus on Feb. 1. (Photo by Rebecca F. Miller) WAVERLY, Iowa — After logging hundreds of miles on Iowa's snow-dusted roads last week, Ted Cruz ended his massive bus tour of the state Saturday night on a lighter note with the media he so often criticizes. "I'm tempted to announce that we're going to launch another six days...

White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough on Sunday vowed that President Obama will close the Guantanamo Bay detainee facility before his presidency ends in 11 months. "He feels an obligation to his successor to close that, and that's why we're going to do it," McDonough said on "Fox News Sunday." "Sure we are." However, McDonough declined to answer whether Obama would use his White House powers to sidestep Congress and close the facility. "The president just said he's going to present a plan to Congress and work with Congress and then we'll make some final determination," McDonough said. Obama...

Tensions ran high in the Philadelphia Police Department Sunday in the wake of an attempted assassination of an officer by a man allegedly claiming he did it "in the name of Islam" after an anonymous tip to officers on Saturday said the threat against police in the city is ongoing. According to a police report obtained by NBC10, an anonymous tipster told officers that, "the threat to police is not over" and that the man who shot Officer Jesse Hartnett is "part of a group that consists of three others," adding that alleged shooter "is not the most radical of...

Republican presidential candidate and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie slammed President Obama for running the country like a "dictator" after the president announced new executive actions on gun control last week. "Dictatorship's not leadership," Christie told "Face the Nation" moderator John Dickerson in an interview that aired Sunday. "And he's acting like a dictator and a petulant child."

With the Bengals' wild 18-16 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday, Lewis became the first NFL coach to sport an 0-7 postseason mark. Lewis, 57, has a 112-94 record with the Bengals in the regular season. He has been the team's head coach since 2003. The Bengals' meltdown in Saturday's playoff loss came after Lewis led his team to a franchise-record-tying 12-4 regular-season mark and a fourth AFC North championship without the benefit of having starting quarterback Andy Dalton (broken thumb) for the last four-plus games ... "We destructed on ourselves," Lewis said after the game.

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- Three weeks before Iowa kicks off the 2016 presidential campaign, Donald Trump and Ted Cruz are generating overwhelming enthusiasm among Republican voters in the state, along with concern, though not panic, among the party professionals who believe both are unelectable in November against the Democratic nominee. Despite such fears, talk of a "takedown" effort aimed at either Trump or Cruz appears to have faded as the Feb. 1 caucuses in Iowa near. For now, there is nervous acceptance that two of the Republican Party's most divisive figures may stay at the top of the presidential...

CLEAR LAKE, Iowa - Donald Trump, the billionaire who until now hasn't had to spend much of his own money to run for president, has made the influence of money in politics a theme of his campaign. He has suggested his Republican rivals are "puppets" for seeking the support of GOP donors like the Koch brothers. And he has defended his own contributions to both Republican and Democratic politicians as the cost of doing business in a world in which officeholders can be bought and paid for. Here in Iowa Saturday, Trump made his most blunt condemnation yet of what...

On Tuesday evening, amid much splendor and spectacle, the president of the United States will be welcomed by a joint session of Congress, there to be cheered and applauded like a homecoming conqueror, and, before an audience of lawmakers, diplomats, military officers, and dignitaries, to deliver his State of the Union oration in a live nationwide broadcast. It is the most preposterous and gaudy ritual in American political life. Thomas Jefferson will be turning in his grave.Like Moses, Jefferson was burdened with a speech impediment and disliked public speaking. Unlike the Hebrew lawgiver, Jefferson wasn't compelled by Heaven to preach to...

Conspiracy theorist thoughts on the next US Presidents and the next Pope. Theory being all but one Us Presidents are of royal descent. Making the electability of president between one of only these three choices running for President. Donald Trump, Jeb Bush, Hillary Clinton all have the royal bloodline. Taking this in consideration any choice of that is not a royal blood line selection would result in a failure to obtain the presidency or if they happen to do so it would be short lived. Second prediction of Saint Malachy and Popes. Much has been said of the predictions of...

Land covers 196.9 million square miles of the planet, which is broken up into 196 countries that are home to 7.125 billion people. With so much land available on Earth you would think people are spread out evenly throughout the world - but a stunning new map reveals that isn't the case. An entrepreneur used data from Nasa to understand where most of the world's population resides and found half of us are crammed into just one percent of the world.
