Israel remains defiant and outraged over talks between the international community and Iran over its nuclear program – talks that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu calls the ‘deal of the century’ for Tehran. The U.S. has confirmed that some sanctions relief was being offered in return for “concrete, verifiable measures” on Iran’s uranium enrichment program. However, Secretary of State John Kerry said Friday that no deal with Iran had been reached.

A week before Congress is expected to finally hear from CIA contractors on the ground in Libya during the deadly Benghazi attacks, a Republican member said it is long overdue the American public learn the truth of "the murky events of September 11, 2012," that left a U.S. ambassador and three other Americans dead. "We know what the senior people have said but we don't know what the people who were on the ground are going to say and we need to get those answers," Rep. Devin Nunes (R-California) told CNN by phone Wednesday. In a letter to House Speaker...

The Virginia election returns confirm what political insiders have known for many decades — that the real gap in our politics is not between men and women, but between married men and married women on the one hand and single men and single women on the other. It doesn’t matter if you are divorced, separated, widowed or never married. If you are single you are much more likely to vote Democratic. This insight raises the question of motivation. It goes without saying that single people are, or should be, more socially active than are their married counterparts. So, social issues...

Enrollment data from the four health insurance companies participating in the D.C. Obamacare exchange reveal just five people have enrolled. The numbers were released Friday by Iowa Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley and Utah Republican Orrin Hatch. CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield enrolled just two people from Oct. 1 to Oct. 30; Kaiser Permanente enrolled three people from Oct. 1 through Oct. 31; and neither UnitedHealthcare or Aetna had any enrollment data as of Nov. 4 and Oct. 24 respectively. Grassely and Hatch sent letters to the four companies seeking the data on Oct. 24. “With numbers like these, it’s no wonder the...

Both Democratic and Republican strategists are dissecting Tuesday's election results for clues to what might happen in next year's congressional elections. State races in off years are not always good predictors of how a party will do nationally during congressional or presidential elections, but there are some important lessons to be learned. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's reelection win was predictable. He is a popular reformer who reached out to minorities and women running in a state that has had its fill of Democratic corruption and tax hikes. He's a conservative -- a pro-life Catholic who personally opposes gay marriage...

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius on Friday said that new requirements imposed on insurance companies by Obamacare will require those companies to treat mental illness and addiction that same as physical illness, creating "the largest behavioral health expansion in a generation."

Former MSNBC host Dylan Ratigan recently got a rude awakening about Obamacare when he received a cancellation notice in the mail for his catastrophic insurance policy. I bought a catastrophic health policy for $170/mo when I left MSNBC. Obamacare cancelled the policy. New rate $600/mo. Thnx Mr. President! — Dylan Ratigan (@DylanRatigan) November 8, 2013 Interesting discussion...many seem to think paying a high deductible in exchange for low cost catastrophic should be outlawed? I disagree. — Dylan Ratigan (@DylanRatigan) November 8, 2013 Serious question...do you guys think simple catastrophic coverage should be outlawed? If so, why? — Dylan Ratigan...

In case you haven’t noticed, the S.C. Democratic Party is going after “Republican” Gov. Nikki Haley … hard. Almost daily, the party sends out press releases criticizing Haley … usually with good reason. But what about U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham? What are Palmetto State Democrats doing to unseat him? Remember, they recruited a big name opponent against Graham when he first ran for this office in 2002 … surely they are working up a similarly credible challenge to Graham now that his approval rating has slumped to an abysmal 37.4 percent. Right? Right? Um, no … Not only has the...

Former VT Gov. Howard Dean appeared on Morning Joe earlier today and dropped a bombshell. Dean told the Obama faithful that there is another Obamacare crisis looming, even after the website gets fixed. It’s not sticker shock as Americans find out that they will be paying more for their health insurance than they were paying before Obamacare.

Barack Obama’s apology is the signal that the battle can finally begin. It’s time for the House Republicans to demand changes in the malignant mess. It’s time to press Democrats to scrap Obamacare – kick them while they’re down. The evolution of thought about Obamacare has moved from Nancy Pelosi’s “We have to pass to see what’s in it!” to idiot Joe Biden’s “This is a big f%$king deal!” to “Washington we have a problem!” to cries from vulnerable Democrats begging Barack Obama to “Do something; anything just make it look like it works!” and now finally to Obama’s apology...

34.3%: Share of Americans over age 16 who say they don’t want a job, up from about 30% two decades ago. Americans aren’t just leaving the labor force — those who have left it are drifting further away. Economists studying the labor market have traditionally focused on two types of people: those who have jobs (the employed) and those who are trying to find them (the unemployed). Together, those groups make up what is known as the “labor force.” As close observers of the economy already know, the labor force has been shrinking as a share of the population, a...

Identity Theft: Kathleen Sebelius admits that convicted felons could be hired as ObamaCare "navigators," giving them access to the personal information of those signing up. Some might already be on the job. Health and Human Services Secretary Sebelius made the admission Wednesday in an exchange with Sen. John Cornyn during a Senate Finance Committee hearing. The Texas Republican asked if it's true that there's no requirement for navigators to undergo a criminal background check and that felons, including those convicted of crimes such as identity theft, could be given access to our most private financial and medical information. "This is...

It ain't because He is Black. It's because He is deathly wrong. Whether President Knows or does not, all He has to do is to lie about it.President Obama has in recent weeks been exposed as an habitual liar. He lies as a matter of political policy. That characteristic of Obama and His administration had already become clear to many of us, but now even some in the "legitimate media" seem to be realizing it. He and His Administration lie and otherwise try to deceive -- as a matter of policy --in the international as well as domestic sphere. Maybe...

Forty years ago this month, in 1973, we were in the midst of the Arab Oil Embargo. At that time, President Richard Nixon issued a Kennedy-esque challenge to America. He said, “Let us set as our national goal, in the spirit of Apollo, with the determination of the Manhattan Project, that by the end of this decade we will have developed the potential to meet our own energy needs without depending on any foreign energy sources.” If Apollo and the Manhattan project had not gone as well, we would still be peering at the moon wondering what the surface was...

Wayne Allyn Root wrote: There are 2 major political parties in America. I’m a member of the naïve, stupid, and cowardly one. I’m a Republican. How stupid is the GOP? They still don’t get it. I told them 5 years ago, 2 books ago, a national bestseller ago (“The Ultimate Obama Survival Guide”), and in hundreds of articles and commentaries, that Obamacare was never meant to help America, or heal the sick, or lower healthcare costs, or lower the debt, or expand the economy. The GOP needs to stop calling Obamacare a “trainwreck.” That means it’s a mistake, or accident....

China: At least one person was killed and eight wounded in the city of Taiyuan in Shanxi Province - west of Beijing -- on 6 November when explosions hit near a Communist Party building. Witnesses reported up to seven explosions, and ball bearings found at the scene indicated the use of improvised explosive devices. At least 20 vehicles were damaged. Comment: The ability of dissidents to acquire explosives is a sign of weak internal security controls. The importance of the explosions is that they occurred. This is the second significant security lapse this month. Syria: The Damascus government has presented...

A committee of Florida lawmakers rejected a proposal to repeal the ''Stand Your Ground'' self-defense law Thursday, following an hours-long hearing. The Florida House of Representatives Criminal Justice Subcommittee held a five-hour hearing starting at 3 p.m. to vote on a bill repealing the law granting individuals to use deadly force when they believe their life is in jeopardy. "Today, our state is a safer place and has the lowest crime rate in 42 years," Rep. Marti Coley, a Marianna Republican, said, according to the Tampa Bay Times. "Florida's 'stand your ground' law is solid. It's good and should not...

On September 30, just one day before Healthcare.gov went live, a pre-launch test was underway. Despite the Obama administration’s projections of 50,000-60,000 users at a time, it was found the website could only handle a mere 1,100 simultaneous visitors– or about 2 percent of projections.

Discussion about the recent panic by bank tellers in Adelphi Ohio, where they saw some people trade a couple of firearms from the bank window, raised questions about where the traders parked. Some readers envisioned a mall parking lot. Some imagined the parking lot of a stand alone bank. With a little research, there appears to be only one Kingston National Bank in Adelphi, at 11811 Main Street. With a Google search we can see how the street is arranged. The bank building is in the middle of the block that is west of the large building with...
