A man wearing Afghan police uniform shot dead three British soldiers at a checkpoint in Afghanistan on Sunday, Britain's Defence Ministry said on Monday. The soldiers were serving with an Afghan police advisory team and were killed after a meeting at the checkpoint at Nahr-e-Saraj in southern Helmand province. Security Council committee is removing Saudi dissident Saad al-Faqih from the United Nations' al Qaeda sanctions list, despite strong objections from Saudi Arabia, a U.N. diplomat said on Sunday.
