DUBAI (Reuters) - Saudi Arabia has reopened an old oil pipeline built by Iraq to bypass Gulf shipping lanes, giving Riyadh scope to export more of its crude from Red Sea terminals should Iran try to block the Strait of Hormuz, industry sources say. The Iraqi Pipeline in Saudi Arabia (IPSA), laid across the kingdom in the 1980s after oil tankers were attacked in the Gulf by both sides during the Iran-Iraq war, has not carried Iraqi crude since Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait in 1990. Saudi Arabia confiscated the pipeline in 2001 to compensate for debts owed by Baghdad and...

New Zealand's High Court has ruled that the police raid on Kim Dotcom’s house was unlawful along with seizure of the hard drives that were later cloned and illegally taken from New Zealand to the US by the FBI. The warrants issued to search Dotcom’s mansion were general and did not clearly describe the offences they stipulated, ruled Justice Helen Winkelmann. “They were general warrants, and as such, are invalid,” she explained.

I'm scared. I fear that even if the Supreme Court overrules most of Obamacare (or did already, by the time you read this), Republicans will join Democrats in restoring "good" parts of the law, like the requirement that insurance companies cover kids up to age 26 and every American with a pre-existing condition. Those parts of Obamacare are popular . People like getting what they think is free stuff. But requiring coverage to age 26 makes policies cost more. Even Bill O'Reilly lectures me that government should ban discrimination against those with pre-existing conditions. Most Americans agree with him. Who...

Not long ago the Arab Spring was seen as a harbinger of democracy. It turns out that, instead, it’s creating breeding grounds for international terror—and safe havens for al-Qaeda itself.

Breaking news: According to two Merck scientists who filed a False Claims Act complaint in 2010 -- a complaint which has just now been unsealed -- vaccine manufacturer Merck knowingly falsified its mumps vaccine test data, spiked blood samples with animal antibodies, sold a vaccine that actually promoted mumps and measles outbreaks, and ripped off governments and consumers who bought the vaccine thinking it was "95% effective." See that False Claims Act document at: www.naturalnews.com/gallery/documents/Merck-False-Claims-Act.pdf According to Stephen Krahling and Joan Wlochowski, both former Merck virologists, the Merck company engaged in all the following behavior: • Merck knowingly falsified its...

- FrontPage Magazine - http://frontpagemag.com - The Cult of ObamaPosted By Daniel Greenfield On June 28, 2012 @ 12:29 am In Daily Mailer,FrontPage | 4 Comments The Corporate Cult evolved in the United States as a hybrid of the sales force of the corporation and the religious devotion of the cult. This type of entity might be a cult like Scientology, which used the aggressive and organized sales tactics and marketing campaigns of a corporation, or it could be a corporation like Apple, whose employees earn little, but feel a sense of satisfaction at being part of a meaningful entity.The...

Don’t Give Up Today's Scripture “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up” (Galatians 6:9, NLT) Today's Word from Joel and Victoria Are you believing God for something that is taking longer than you thought or expected? If you are praying according to His promises, no matter how long you may have been standing, don’t give up! Your season is coming. Your harvest of blessing is on its way. It might be today, it might be tomorrow, it might be...

Today the House of Representatives will decide whether or not to find Attorney General Eric holder in contempt of Congress for his refusal to turn over subpoenaed documents in the gunrunning scandal known as Fast and Furious. A pair of eleventh-hour meetings between White House officials and Republicans at the Justice Department (DOJ) and the White House attempting to avert the showdown were not fruitful. The DOJ showed GOP staffers 14 documents a senior administration official characterized as a “representative sample†of what Republican had been seeking. At one of the meetings, DOJ officials reportedly offered to provide all the documents requested if Republicans would drop contempt proceedings. That offer was rejected.

Held by the Grip of God "I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me" —Philippians 3:12 Never choose to be a worker for God, but once God has placed His call on you, woe be to you if you “turn aside to the right hand or to the left†(Deuteronomy 5:32). We are not here to work for God because we have chosen to do so, but because God has “laid hold of†us. And once He has done so, we never have this thought, “Well, I’m...

MILLVILLE, N.J. (CBS) - Thirty-three-year old Patrick Stark goes everywhere with his medical dog, Copenhagen. “Rarely do I get emotional at all, but this was a really sad experience for me,” Stark said outside his Vine Street home in Millville Tuesday. The military veteran has suffered seizures since sustaining a brain injury when he was mugged three years ago in Seattle, Washington, where he just moved from a few months ago. He’s had Copenhagen every since. The dog alerts him when the seizures are coming, enabling him to avoid them, which has saved his life. “At this point, I have...

The militant homosexual radicals have set their sites on the State of Illinois in their quest to pervert the definition of marriage. In their campaign to overturn the law in Illinois that correctly defines marriage as between a man and a woman, they are maligning the Christian conservatives who are defending what any rational person knows—that there is not, and can never be, any such thing as a homosexual marriage union. This week, I got two e-mails from Brad Wallace, who works with Peter LaBarbera at Americans for Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH). One e-mail was from the Illinois Family Institute,...

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is likely to clamp down on gold coin sales by banks, amid rising bullion imports adding pressure to the current account deficit and weakening the rupee. The Banking Regulation Act does not allow banks to trade in commodities and they play the role of a financial intermediary. This norm was relaxed in the pre-2008 era when the country saw a dollar influx that resulted in a sharp appreciation of the rupee. To sterilise dollar inflows, banks were allowed to sell gold, as they imported the yellow metal. The measure was temporary. “Banks were allowed...

As the day of judgment approaches, half the country sits waiting for a small group of men and women to decide how many of our civil rights we get to keep. After two flawed decisions that draw not from the Constitution, but from policy and opinion, we wait hopefully for a third opinion that will set us free. Today the Supreme Court is slightly tilted in our favor, which is to say that it has a few members who believe that the Constitution is more than blotting paper for their opinions, and that individuals and states have rights, rather than...

Tomorrow, the Supreme Court is expected to hand down its ruling on Obamacare--and, in particular, the individual mandate, which requires individuals to purchase health insurance whether they want it or not. Obama salutes Let us hope that the Court invalidates this law. The individual mandate is the apotheosis of the modern Democratic party’s way of doing business. In particular, it is the quintessential example of how, hiding behind a smokescreen of egalitarian rhetoric, the party has become deeply, perhaps hopelessly, anti-republican, happy to dole out favors to privileged groups while the rest of the country is left with nothing. First,...

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem Isaiah 41 14. This is what the Lord says: “The products of Egypt and the merchandise of Cush, and those tall Sabeans — they will come over to you and will be yours; they will trudge behind you, coming over to you in chains. They will bow down before you and plead with you, saying, ‘Surely God is with you, and there is no other; there is no other god. ’” 15. Truly you are a God who has been hiding himself, the God and Savior of Israel. 16. All the makers of...

The legislation created two conflicts that rose to the national stage. The first is whether any government may morally and legally interfere with freedom of association based on the birthplace of the person with whom one chooses to associate. The second is whether the states can enforce federal law in a manner different from that of the feds. Regrettably, in addressing all of this earlier in the week, the Supreme Court overlooked the natural and fundamental freedom to associate. It is a natural right because it stems from the better nature of our humanity, and it is a fundamental right...
