My sister and B-I-L arrived yesterday afternoon from Houston. My sister and B-I-L along with close to 20 other people met up in Senator Cornyn's office. He was courteous, spent time talking to all of them. He also confirmed he did NOT like the health care bill and shared he was proud people were getting involved. My sister stated it was a very positive meeting. They then went over to Al Green's office.They were the only ones who went to Green's office. While she did say the lady was friendly she also was asked what district my sister was from....

The federal deficit surged higher into record territory in August, hitting $1.38 trillion with one month left in the budget year. The Treasury Department said Friday that last month's deficit was $111.4 billion, below the $152 billion that economists expected. Following the murder of Doctor George Tiller, a Wichita abortionist, NARAL Pro-Choice America released a statement that was not only heavily political but also attacked pro-life activists as well. Today in Owosso, Michigan, pro-life activist James Pouillon was shot several times in front of Owosso High School and died. Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty took a trip to the Old Dominion this week to campaign for Virginia gubernatorial candidate Bob McDonnell. It seems that Andrew Sullivan’s application for US citizenship hangs in the balance — but not really, and that is the issue. Gawker and other sites report that this past summer, blogger and columnist Sullivan was arrested on national seashore in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, for illegal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor that would incur a $125 for Sullivan, if he was found guilty.
