"Obama doesn't know what he's doing!" snapped Honduran foreign minister Enrique Ortez this July, 4. "He doesn't know anything about anything!" continued Ortez. "He probably can't even find Tegucigalpa on a map." The U.S. was then (as now) denouncing the democratic Honduran government's actions to uphold their constitution and thwart a Chavez/Castro satrap hell-bent on converting their nation into a client narco-state for Hugo Chavez. Honduras' Supreme Court voted unanimously to oust Zelaya, and her legislature voted the 125- 5 for same. The five contrarian legislators belong to Honduras' Communist party, long known for dutifully carrying water for papa Fidel....

You have read that your president has decreed this day in history, September 11, to be a National Day of Service. And remembrance of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States. We sit at this moment watching the names of the victims of the attacks on the World Trade Centers being read in remembrance of them. We notice that the names are read by pairs of readers. On your right, as you watch, a relative of a victim reads. The relative reads the name, and finishes with a comment about how hurt they are at the loss of...

O’Neill retired as the FBI’s top terrorist expert. He worked for the FBI for 31 years. The FBI appointed him as the chief of the bureau’s International Terrorism Operations. During his time with the FBI, O’Neill worked on many of the world’s deadliest terrorist attacks, including the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole and the 1998 attacks on the U.S. embassies in Africa. O’Neill’s first terrorism case was, in fact, the 1993 truck bombing of the World Trade Center. After retiring from the FBI, O’Neill took a new job. That job was the security director for the World Trade Center....

Paul Walker, CEO of the GFMS metals consultancy, said recently that the gold price has risen because there have been "large, lumpy transactions in a market that has a degree of illiquidity." I can't think of a better euphemism for a short squeeze.

I log in every day to download the previous day's podcast. Today it isn't letting me log in, and when I go to the retrieve password site, it is acting like I don't even have a username. I have been doing this forever, and just saw my auto-renewal go through the other day.

A weird and irrational cult has us in its grip. If the Mormons or the Moonies started taking over the BBC and the Government, which then harangued and persecuted us into wearing funny underwear or getting married in mass ceremonies, we would – I hope – rise in revolt. But the ‘Man-made Climate Change’ fanatics are applauded and praised, even as they force us to abandon perfectly sensible electric lights, and instead subject ourselves to strange, flickering substitutes, simultaneously worse and more costly than the ones they replace. There is worse to come. The same people wish to compel us...

Featured Term (selected at random):CARDINAL ELECTORS Since 1179, cardinals have been the exclusive electors of the Roman Pontiff. In the twelfth century members of the electoral college were also prelates (bishops and archbishops) from outside of Rome, and by the fifteenth century (under Pope Eugenius IV in 1439) even cardinals who were only priests were given a voice in the papal election. Several varieties of spiny lobsters exist throughout the world’s oceans, and they all have an ability to navigate. Experiments in 2003 concluded that they orient themselves by accessing an internal map of local magnetic anomalies, or tiny fluctuations in the earth’s magnetic field.[1] When a Finnish computer programmer read about this, he began designing a similar system for use in robots. Janne Haverinen provided a magnetic map of a local hospital corridor to a mobile robot. The robot was able to successfully navigate the hall using only the magnetic anomalies that characterized that building.[2] Magnetic mapping technology could provide an...

The initial reports were frightening, the Coast Guard fires shots at a rogue boat in the middle of the Potomac River, just before the President drives by, and right near the Pentagon building on the Anniversary of 9/11. The follow-up provoked anger---it was just a training mission:

Today, I need your help more than ever before. I've been under attack by the liberals for months and they’ve done everything they can to quiet my very vocal opposition to more government interference in Americans' lives. Now, it's gotten even worse, but I will not stop fighting against their policies that will only lead to more government interference, more spending, and higher deficits. I should not have disrespected the President during his speech. But I am not sorry for fighting back against the dangerous policies of liberal Democrats. I will not back down. Will you stand with me today...

One day after two ACORN officials in Baltimore were fired for offering to help a man and woman posing as a pimp and prostitute to engage in child prostitution and a series of tax crimes, another secretly shot videotape has surfaced that shows the same couple getting similar advice from ACORN officers in Washington. The newly released videotape, shot on July 25, shows ACORN staffers explaining to the pair how they can hide the woman's professed work — prostitution — and get a loan that will help them establish a brothel

Carbon nanotubes are increasingly being used in everyday products such as sporting equipment, biomedical devices and aeroplanes. But questions remain as to how safe these nanotubes really are. A main factor in nanotube toxicity are the metal contaminants that remain from manufacture, which are typically one to ten per cent by weight, say Martin Pumera and Yuji Miyahara at the National Institute for Materials Science, Ibaraki, Japan. 'Carbon nanotubes are often viewed as homogenous materials, which is of course incorrect - they often contain impurities which are not even listed by the manufacturers,' says Pumera. The pair have used an electrochemical...

The District Attorney's Office on Wednesday began reviewing accusations of domestic violence that reality TV star Tila Tequila brought against star linebacker Shawne Merriman of the San Diego Chargers. The DA will review reports from the San Diego County Sheriff's Department and decide if the player known as "Lights Out" will be charged. Merriman was arrested early Sunday after Tequila accused him of choking and throwing her to the ground while she was trying to leave his home in suburban Poway. Tequila signed a citizen's arrest warrant accusing Merriman of battery and false imprisonment. Both are felonies. Spokesman Paul Levikow...

As the smoke rose from Lower Manhattan and dissipated into the now famous clear September skies, the secure, safe and invincible American upbringing that our generation had taken for granted as we grew up came crumbling down with the towers...America’s children on 9-11, now known as ‘the internet generation’ or ‘the millennial generation’ suddenly found ourselves in a nation that, from a child’s perspective, not even our parents could keep secure. United we stand, divided we fall was not just a slogan for the generation that now so vehemently demands bi-partisanship, it’s now how many of us seek to conduct...

Denton schools Superintendent Ray Braswell offered a public apology Tuesday night to residents upset about his decision not to air President Barack Obama's address to schoolchildren. He made the statement during the open forum segment of the district's board meeting. "For the folks who think this decision may have been disrespectful, please know that I offer my sincerest apologies – that was never my intent," Braswell said. "My intent the entire time was to try to make sure the instructional climate was preserved so that teachers could teach and kids could learn." Braswell issued a letter on the district's Web...

Michelle did not die curing cancer, saving the rain forest, or protecting the lives of others. Michelle died for the very thing B. Hussein Obama is trying to destroy, capitalism. As you go about your day today, as you go about your life, each and every day, remember what it is that made America the greatest nation in the world, people like Michelle, who participated in capitalism, lived their lives to the fullest and made the American dream their dream.

Of course, the fact that this murder of a pro-Life defender occurred on September 11, the anniversary of one of the greatest acts of violence perpetrated against the United States, only magnifies the profound evil of taking innocent human lives. It also reminds us all that a cycle of violence has been unleashed in our age. In 1994, at a National Prayer Breakfast, in the presence of then President Clinton, that little sign of contradiction and prophetic voice, God rest her soul, Mother Teresa, hit the nail on the head. Speaking at a podium where her small stature could barely...
