Stunned, shocked, in disbelief … all things you would have been if this were to happen under most of America’s presidents, but not this one. Imagine the White House lawn flying China’s flag. Not because of an invasion, not because it is flying with the flags of several nations for some major event. No, the White House will fly China’s flag to celebrate 60 years of communism.

On April 12, the conservative Website WorldNetDaily published an expose on newly appointed White House “green czar” Van Jones that labeled the environmental activists a “an admitted radical communist and black nationalist leader.” Based on readily available online sources, including an alternative weekly paper in Oakland, California, Aaron Klein’s piece had a sensational title–”Will a ‘red’ help blacks go green?”–and a sensational spin. In the 2005 profile of Jones that Klein cited, reporter Eliza Strickland recalled Jones’s first year out of Yale Law School, working for the Lawyers Committee for Human Rights in the Bay Area, and how when he...

----snip--- Supporters of Mumia Abu-Jamal, a death row inmate convicted for the 1981 shooting death of a Philadelphia police officer, said the protest was called after the Supreme Court on Monday rejected claims that Abu-Jamal, a former radio journalist and Black Panther, did not receive a fair trial. ``We knew there was another event going on, but the timing of the court decision is what dictated when the protest was held,'' said Van Jones, a San Francisco civil rights lawyer who helped coordinate the protest march.

His refusal to bow to political correctness has already won Peter Davies plenty of plaudits. But the new mayor of Doncaster, who has been praised for his outspoken approach, has received less support for his latest suggestion that we could all learn something about family values - from the Taliban. Mr Davies claimed that under the Taliban, Afghanistan had an 'ordered system of family life'. He said: 'The one thing that can be said about the Taliban is that they do have an ordered society of some sort and that they don't have hundreds of cases of children under threat...

As a member of the American Psychological Association for 36 years, I am filled with indignation at the recent statement of the APA that deems it “inappropriate” for therapists to treat homosexual clients. Such therapy is called reparative therapy and has as its goal the establishment of a heterosexual orientation in place of a homosexual one. This statement of the APA has been issued despite the fact that there are a number of outstanding members of that organization, including two past presidents, who have strongly supported reparative treatment.Issued in August, “Appropriate Therapeutic Responses to Sexual Orientation” advises treatments that “increase...

Death Wish: Lomborg's 'Copenhagen Consensus' Tainted By Inclusion of Nobel-Winner Who Wished for 'tornadoes' and 'a lot of horrid things' to convince Americans of climate threat! Schelling, in a moment of sheer lunacy or candor, depending on your viewpoint, wished for “tornadoes” and “a lot of horrid things” to convince Americans...

Once again, one of the masters of the universe trotted out on MSNBC has discovered the cure to one of society's ills - more Obama. Daily Voice editor and CNBC contributor Keith Boykin waved off the reservations of some parents about President Barack Obama addressing their children in the classroom. Boykin appeared on MSNBC on Sept. 3 in a segment about the classroom controversy and added his insightful commentary on the matter. "So much of the debate about President Obama has been politicized in an effort by some to delegitimize his presidency," Boykin said. "This is clearly much ado about...

Palm Beach County public-school televisions will be tuned into to President Barack Obama's speech Tuesday, Superintendent Art Johnson announced today. The national address, which is supposed to focus on the importance of studying hard and staying in school, is angering some South Florida parents and Republican leaders who called it a political agenda. Johnson told teachers and staff "not to inject political comments and/or political opinions to students in light of the school district's policy prohibiting political messaging to students." Parents, who object to the broadcast for personal reasons, may submit a written request to the school to excuse their...

On the afternoon of Tuesday, Sept. 1 – after a lot of talk by President Barack Obama about transparency in his administration – I snuck into and attended a private meeting held by Obama's deputy secretary of the US Department of the Treasury, Neal Wolin, and Democratic Rep. Brad Miller, who represents North Carolina's 13th congressional district. Also at the meeting were state and federal banking officials, area elected officials and a select group of other handpicked attendees. It was an interesting meeting – however, once my presence was discovered, it clearly agitated many federal and congressional officials, as well...

By: Scott Whitlock September 03, 2009 12:00 ET On Thursday’s Good Morning America, for the third time in two years, Sam Champion interviewed an extreme environmentalist who shunned toilet paper for a year as part of a project to be carbon neutral. Colin Beavan, also known as "No Impact Man," appeared on the show to promote a new documentary and book on his experience. This time, however, Champion downplayed the bizarre elements of Beavan’s life. The host made no mention of the fact that, in addition to not using amenities such as elevators, cars and electricity, Beavan also stopped partaking...

Nato has promised a full investigation into an air strike on two fuel tankers that killed up to 90 people in Afghanistan's northern Kunduz province. The alliance said many Taliban insurgents who had hijacked the tankers were killed but it admitted it had reports of many civilian casualties. The Nato-led forces said they regretted "any unnecessary loss of human life". President Hamid Karzai said targeting civilians was "unacceptable" and announced his own investigation panel. A statement from his office said the president expressed "deep sorrow for the loss of our compatriots" and "emphasised that innocent civilians must not be killed...

D.J. Harper added a 1-yard scoring run for Boise State, but the impressive effort by the Broncos was overshadowed in the postgame scrum when Blount punched Boise State's Byron Hout and was then restrained from fans by police on the field. "I just apologize to anyone watching that," Blount said. "I just apologize to all of our fans and all of Boise's fans. That's something I shouldn't have done. I lost my head." Rumors even swirled afterward the Blount would be arrested, but Oregon sports information director Dave Williford said that talk was "absolutely false."
