Never has an administration had more political firepower at their disposal yet been set to so totally fail in the next six to eight weeks. It is nearly a foregone conclusion. It is nearly unavoidable. And it defies all logic given the sizable majority the administration has in both houses of Congress. Since I was the first pundit to predict Obama's presidency (back in December 2006) it behooves me to tell you the course I believe the next few weeks will take. Just think, it was only a few months ago that the left looked unstoppable in bringing about their...

Parents across the country are rebelling against plans by President Barack Obama to speak directly to their children through the classrooms of the nation's public schools without their presence, participation and approval. The plans announced by Obama also have been cited as raising the specter of the Civilian National Security Force, to which he's referred several times since his election campaign began, but never fully explained. "He's recruiting his civilian army. His 'Hitler' youth brigade," wrote one participant in a forum at Free Republic.

PORTLAND, Maine — A Maine man caught peering up at a girl from below an outhouse toilet seat four years ago stands accused of crawling into another pit toilet on White Mountain National Forest property in New Hampshire. A federal affidavit indicates a 49-year-old man confessed to repeating his previous act on Memorial Day. Federal agents sought the man out after a 9-year-old boy saw him climbing out of a toilet at the Hastings Campground. Two witnesses saw him walk away from the outhouse.

Monday August 29 2005 Black America got her own 9-11. She was hit with an act of terrorism in New Orleans that was just as devastating if not more than what took place when those Twin Towers were felled by planes… Yes, you read that correctly.. Most people mistakenly believe that the city of New Orleans was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. Lets make sure folks understand this once and for all.. Much of neighboring Mississippi was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina which hit the state with its full level 5 impact. New Orleans which was initially in the path of Hurricane...

Via The Foundry, I first read today about this apparent effort to reframe 9/11 by liberal Democrats and by the perpetual Obama Campaign Machine, Organizing For America. This is not the first report I've seen about the effort to rewrite the story of 9/11. The effort last year to make 9/11 "A Day of Service" was the first time it actually struck me as truly likely that the anniversary of the worst terrorist attack on American soil was soon to be whitewashed...As if turning 9/11 into a Day to Lobby for Health Care isn't enough, there's more. As The Foundry...

The United States and Cuba plan to start talks on resuming direct mail service between the two countries for the first time in nearly half a century as the Obama administration continues to try to engage the communist island, diplomats said Tuesday. The negotiations are tentatively set for Sept. 17, according to the diplomats, and will follow the resumption in July of talks on the legal immigration of Cubans to the U.S. The two sides agreed on the two sets of discussions in late May, a month after President Barack Obama eased travel and financial restrictions on Americans with family...

By using inventory data and the average number of days each vehicle sites on the lot, we get the supply rate for the car. The final number amounts to how long the current inventory will last, in days, if no other cars are produced. While many factors can influence this final number, such as how fast cars fly off the lot, number of cars produced by the manufacturer, etc.; the results are that you’ll have a harder time getting these cars with the options and color you want, or finding them at all. In addition, you’ll be hard-pressed to negotiate...

Rep. Ron Paul’s (R-Texas) presidential campaign will live on in 2010 in the form of two of his closest devotees running in key Senate races. And they are starting to have a real impact. Paul’s libertarian-leaning presidential bid, while notable for its novelty and the amount of money he raised, was never given a chance. By contrast, his son Rand Paul and adviser Peter Schiff are starting to be seen and felt in two of the biggest Senate races in the country.

KILLEEN (September 1, 2009)—A 9-year-old girl was taken to Metroplex Hospital in Killeen Tuesday afternoon with what police described as a serious wound after a pit bull attacked her as she walked home from a school bus stop. The Minneapolis Police Department’s internal affairs unit is investigating a police softball team after an alleged night of drinking and brawls. The softball game itself was in Northeast Park last Tuesday, where Minneapolis police took on Minneapolis firefighters. By the time the off-duty Minneapolis officers arrived at the Double Deuce strip club, still in their softball uniforms, the owner told FOX 9, the cops were so intoxicated that the bouncer wouldn't let them in the strip club. The owner says the officers even started flashing their badges, trying to intimidate the bouncer. And in retaliation, one of the officers allegedly...
