Massachusetts gets exactly what it votes for. The voting majority which elects these people has no one to blame but itself.

Michael J. Rodrigues
Representative Michael J. Rodrigues repeatedly refused to provide any responses to citizens on the issues through the 2008 Political Courage Test when asked to do so by national leaders of the political parties, prominent members of the media, Project Vote Smart President Richard Kimball, and Project Vote Smart staff.
The Political Courage Test asks candidates which items they will support if elected. It does not ask them to indicate which items they will oppose.

Look at his defense.
“The witness account was also posted yesterday on Citizens for Limited Taxations Web site.
A member of the powerful House Ways and Means Committee, Rodrigues did not return several phone calls yesterday. But in an online interview with The Standard-Times in New Bedford, he acknowledged buying the booze during a bathroom stop while he and his wife were on a weekend getaway in New Hamshpire.
He also blamed the brouhaha on Republican demagoguery.
Unfortunately, I think thats why the Republican Party is in such bad shape in Massachusetts, Rodrigues is quoted as saying. The electorate here is smart enough to figure out what theyre up to.

He also blamed the brouhaha on Republican demagoguery. So, Republicans forced him to slip across the state line and buy the booze?

He’s just following in the footsteps of the Kennedy Clan.

The electorate here is smart enough to figure out what theyre up to. The "electorate" are morons that is why YOU are in office Rep. Rodrigues!

Wife must be a real lush if she’s stopping at liquor stores to take a p@@ during a road trip.
Just sayin’.

I disagree with Rodrigues, if the electorate is so smart, then how did a murderer get reelected. Would they elect O.J.?

Authorities have also cracked down at the border, targeting Bay Staters seeking to avoid paying state taxes by crossing into New Hampshire to shop.Hey wait a minute... this doesn't sound kosher to me... it can't be illegal to shop in another state...

I've been by that Liquor store, it's a half mile over the border and there is gas station, truck stop, and a couple of fast food joints a further mile north.
