Here is video of Sen. Mitch McConnell laying out the delays and denials that are commonplace in Canada's Government-run Health Care System - a precursor of what Americans can expect if President Obama succeeds in bringing socialized medicine to the United States. Some have argued that socialized medicine would work fine in America, much like Medicare for retired-age people. However, those who suggest it would be like Medicare forget that Medicare has functioned within the framework of a robust private health care system. Once Socialized Medicine becomes law, the private system will ultimately collapse, changing the landscape of medical care...

Obama’s Tax Promise: A Timeline of Conflicting Statements David Axelrod refused three times to affirm President Barack Obama’s central campaign promise not to raise taxes on families making less than $250,000 per year, WH spokesman Robert Gibbs did the same.

In a recent op-ed piece published in The Wall Street Journal, Alan Reynolds of the Cato Institute starts by making a few decent points about fuel taxation and fuel economy rules. Unfortunately, he undermines himself with some blatant errors and misinformation. In discussing how Detroit automakers will deal with new fuel efficiency requirements, he makes the all-too-common mistake of referring to Ford's hybrid system as licensed from Toyota ("Similarly, Ford has the Toyota-licensed hybrid Fusion and will soon produce the European Ford Fiesta in Mexico"). The reality is that Ford independently developed its own hybrid system at the same time...

A federal judge approved the sale of General Motors Corp.'s assets to a new government-run company, removing a key hurdle to the auto maker's plan to exit bankruptcy. Judge Robert E. Gerber of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York issued an 87-page ruling late Sunday allowing the sale to go forward. He rejected pleas from dissident bondholders and product-liability claimants who objected to GM's plans. The judge said the only alternative to GM's plans would be liquidation, "a disastrous result for GM's creditors, its employees, the suppliers who depend on GM for their own existence,...

Celebrate Your Freedom Today's Scripture "You have been set free from sin…" (Romans 6:18, NIV) Today's Word from Joel and Victoria This weekend, we celebrate Independence Day in America. July 4, 1776 was the day America declared independence from Britain, but the battle for freedom went on until 1783—seven years later. Even though the people declared their freedom in 1776, they had to stand and fight for many years before the British would accept and recognized the United States of America. In the same way, we have to declare our freedom and determine to stand against the opposing forces...

Visions Become Reality "The parched ground shall become a pool . . ." —Isaiah 35:7 We always have a vision of something before it actually becomes real to us. When we realize that the vision is real, but is not yet real in us, Satan comes to us with his temptations, and we are inclined to say that there is no point in even trying to continue. Instead of the vision becoming real to us, we have entered into a valley of humiliation.Life is not as idle ore, But iron dug from central gloom, And battered by the shocks...

Opponents of United States Supreme Court nominee Sonya Sotomayor have grounded their position in Sotomayor's alleged racial bias pointing to speeches in which she says things like "I would hope that a wise Latina woman, with the richness of her experiences, would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life." But that dog's probably not gonna hunt. The reality is that almost every modern American institution including corporate America, the military, and academia have been publicly cheering on women and minorities in public forums, literature, programs seeking to improve workplace performance...

A few words about Sarah Palin: She is one of the most fascinating women I have ever met. She crackles with energy like a live electrical wire and on first meeting gets about three inches from your face. Her instant subliminal message is: “I don’t know you very well, but I’m very clear about who I am.” She reeks of moxie and self confidence. And she’s fearless. Well, she was mostly fearless when I intersected with her. But, she was also a week out from a nationally televised debate with Joe Biden, and she knew she was in trouble. She...

National Rifle Association Arizona - -(AmmoLand.com)- The Arizona Senate passed three important self-defense bills in a session that lasted into the early morning hours Wednesday. First, SB 1113 enables law-abiding Right-to-Carry permit holders to carry firearms for self-defense in restaurants. This NRA-backed bill passed by an overwhelming, bi-partisan majority of 19-8 and will now be sent to Governor Jan Brewer’s (R) desk for her consideration. “If this important, common-sense legislation is signed, Arizonans will have the ability to defend themselves and their families from criminal attack in restaurants,” said NRA-ILA Executive Director Chris W. Cox. “Headlines remind us that restaurants...

Note: The following articles contains material that about the Duke University child exploitation case. It is not suitable for all readers. The main stream media is finally discussing the sexual preferences of Frank Lombard - the Duke University administrator accused of molesting and offering his five-year-old adopted son for sex, via the internet. Naturally, the newspapers are focusing on threats to the gay adoption movement not threats to those who are adopted by gay parents. I’d like to bring the conversation back to Frank Lombard for a moment. His potential as a child molester should have been detected by social...

June was National LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered) Pride Month. To honor this occasion President Barack Obama held a reception in the East Room of the White House. It was an opportunity Obama took advantage of to mend strained relations between himself and the homosexual community that he had courted during his campaign. Obama had promised to overturn DOMA (the Defense of Marriage Act), to change the “Don’t ask, don’t tell” policy used by the military in regards to homosexuals serving in the military, and to pass a comprehensive hate crimes law that would place homosexuals into a federally protected...

Liberals (ie: Democrats) are either mentally ill, ignorant or liars (or all three). It used to be this was just conjecture, but now there are facts to support that statement. The conservatives who are reading this are all nodding their heads in agreement and the liberals are wishing they were conservatives, so they could get their guns and become self-righteous and indignant. Sorry liberals, reality is what it is. Get a helmet.

Ever since Sarah Palin entered the national political arena last summer as the Republican VP nominee, she has caused sheer panic in the hearts and minds of the Leftist Liberals in America. Accordingly, the Leftist media is hell-bent on doing all they can to discredit Palin’s accomplishments and destroy her character at any cost. Even now, much effort and energy is being expended to deceive the American people regarding her considerable achievements. Her popularity among conservatives is astounding, and many believe that she will get the 2012 endorsement for the presidency. The Left and its State-Run Media Minions are now...

A bizarre shooting in Belen leaves a former corrections officer dead, and a former Marine in jail charged with his murder. The shooting is once again raising debate over what's considered self defense. The brother of the person who was shot and the suspect's friend each have very different opinions about what happened. The incident happened around 10:15 Saturday night at Enchantment Propane. Evidence of a break-in was still visible on Sunday. The murder that happened in the midst of the burglary is likely going to extend a long-standing debate for years to come. Louie Gabaldon still has a lot...

The crew of our aircraft awoke late afternoon on July 4, 2009 to find the camp decorated in red, white and blue ribbons, balloons, and posters in preparation for scheduled 4th of July events. I began my day a couple of hours earlier. I dressed in a digital camouflaged kilt and went about the camp to honor those working. I played God Bless America in front of Operations. My aircraft commander went with me to maintenance to thank them for the hard work they do in keeping our planes in the air. It was the Wild Blue Yonder (Air Force...

Listen carefully and you can hear Pres. Obama’s internal dialogue: “who is the soon-to-be-former advance man who roped me into this?” Morning Joe interrupted its panel’s banter today to bring live coverage of Pres. Obama participating in a wreath-laying ceremony in Moscow at the tomb of Russia’s unknown soldier. There was PBO, forced to walk at an unnaturally slow place, stuck behind a goose-stepping Russian soldier even younger and more fresh-faced than he. Comic relief was provided by a portly fellow shambling along screen right carrying a briefcase [the Russian nuclear "football" perhaps?] View video here.

When President Obama signed his stimulus into law in February, Democrats issued grave warnings of the price Republicans would pay for their opposition to the bill. “Americans will hold House Republicans accountable for ‘just saying no’ to the largest tax cut in American history and saving and creating three to four million jobs,” said Rep. Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., who also serves as head of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. There are still about 140 million jobs still left in the country, so taken in the broadest possible sense, Democrats have exceeded their promise on the “save” end of the...

Married South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford’s recent admission of a lengthy affair with an Argentine mistress proves yet again that the heavy burden of public office can come to bear down so heavily on the shoulders of these poor souls that sometimes the only solution is to open that pressure valve controlled by their fly zipper. Before the next politician goes down that road, I’d like to offer some general advice to them in my capacity as a political and media strategist. 1) Leave God out of it. Politicians who end up ensnared in sex scandals don’t just wake up...
