WASHINGTON - Israel is seriously considering taking unilateral military action to stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, according to a report by top US political figures and experts released Wednesday. The report also says Israel's time frame for action is growing shorter, not only because of Iranian advances, but because Teheran might soon acquire upgraded air defenses and disperse its nuclear program to additional locations. The report, "Preventing a Cascade of Instability," was put out by the Washington Institute for Near East Policy (WINEP). It also argues that international sanctions against Iran need to be intensified urgently for the engagement...

The fate of the F-22 Raptor fighter jet, assembled by Lockheed Martin Corp. in Marietta, won’t be known until April when President Obama details his budgetary priorities, administration and congressional officials said Thursday. The president’s budget includes $534 billion for the Department of Defense, a four percent increase over the current budget. Obama and other administration officials have hinted recently, though, that money for big-dollar weapons systems like the F-22 will be cut. The president, in his Tuesday address to Congress, promised “to reform our defense budget so that we’re not paying for Cold War-era weapons systems we don’t use.” Rep....

Freerepublic.com is going to get shut down by the Secret Service for threatening President Obama's life. If it doesn't happen because of a flimsy proviso in the post discussed here, then we live in a still more dangerous world.

Strap it on, EC will be rolling tonight. With Nathan Tabor, expert on the United Nations and author of The Beast on the East River. How much of Obama's agenda is really his and how much is the United Nations'? Also an update from Dr. Orly Taitz, who is suing Barack Obama on behalf of more than 100 military officers. Is he constitutionally qualified to be President? Does that really matter? She's been a guest before, and she'll be keeping us abreast of these important constitutional challenges to our nation. All that and more tonight on Evil Conservative Radio (7-8PM...

As the debate continues on proposals to legalise Abortion and introduce a Termination of Pregnancy Act, legislators have been exposed to a gamut of arguments and numerous warnings about the predicament such a decision could create, not the least of which were those brought to fore last week. HO LUNG ... we must not do what is wrong for the sake of money THE missionaries begged, cajoled and even sang in a bid to sway the members of the Joint Select Committee of Parliament contemplating proposals to legalise abortion. The group, which appeared before the committee last Thursday, also had...

I am currently promulgating a list of contradictions which I have noticed among liberals. I will post each contradiction one at a time in hopes that people will make comments specifically about the individual contradiction, and not comment about a long laundry list. I decided to start things rolling with the #1 most annoying liberal contradiction that I have found in my own observations, which is that liberals proclaim to the world that they accept any viewpoint under the sun, when in actuality they accept any viewpoint which is not conservative in nature. Imagine if every viewpoint conceivable was written...

President Obama wants to pay you to support global warming regulation. What he isn’t saying, however, is that his enticement won’t come close to covering what the regulations will cost you. In his 10-year budget released this week, the President proposed a so-called cap-and-trade scheme to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Under the proposal, 100 percent of the permits to emit greenhouse gases would be auctioned to coal and natural gas-burning electric utilities, industrial plants and other emitters-to-be-designated. The proceeds from the auctions would then distributed to individual Americans “to help the transition to a clean energy economy,” according to his...

WASHINGTON, March 4, 2009 – An Air Force reserve unit in Massachusetts does its utmost to support family members of deployed servicemembers, a noncommissioned officer assigned to the unit’s family readiness center said today. “We keep connected with the families while their loved ones are deployed,” said Air Force Tech. Sgt. Margaret Sullivan, one of five military members who work at the 439th Airlift Wing’s Airman and Family Readiness Center. The center, Sullivan said, also has a student hire and a full-time volunteer. Based at Westover Air Reserve Base in Chicopee, Mass., just north of Springfield, the 439th Airlift...

For a long time, I didn't believe that Missouri's state Legislature could be crazier than Kansas'. This year, thanks to Missouri state reps Cynthia "kisses" Davis and Bryan "Rebel Yell" Stevenson, I know I'm wrong. And it keeps getting better. Missouri House Republicans want a constitutional amendment to stop voter fraud and protect Missourians from "corruption, fraud and tyranny." If you're like me, you see the words "corruption, fraud and tyranny" and you say, "No, sir. I don't like any of those things." Then they cram in the Obama-isn't-a-U.S.-citizen conspiracy theory. You know, even after it's been repeatedly refuted.

What's wrong with rooting against our elected officials? Is it inherently unpatriotic or immoral to want to see a president fail? After chewing over the larger implications of that vital question, I've come to a conclusion: I am a twisted human being. Thankfully, I'm not alone. You see, when I'm not wasting time greedily praying to be rich, I plead with some higher power to sentence my middling local representatives to painful obscurity and professional failure. My congresswoman, for instance, carries an intellectual confidence so severely out of step with her skill set that the promise of disappointment, I trust, one...

Back in January, I reported that Oklahoma State Rep. Mike Ritze (R), whose party had just won control of the legislature, was pushing legislation that would demand proof of President Obama’s citizenship before he’s placed on the ballot in 2012. Today we learn that fifteen members of the Missouri legislature, all Republicans, have signed on to a constitutional amendment that says this: For candidates who are required by the Constitution of the United States to be natural born citizens, the secretary of state shall request an official copy of the candidate’s birth certificate. Other certifications, such as a certificate of...

CHICAGO -- Twenty percent of all U.S. residential properties that had a mortgage on them were underwater at the end of December, with mortgage debt greater than what the homes were worth, according to a report released Wednesday by First American CoreLogic. That's more than 8.3 million mortgages that were upside down at the end of the year, compared with 7.6 million three months earlier. It's a problem that is expected to get worse as home prices continue to fall... "The accelerating share of negative equity, combined with deteriorating economic conditions, means that mortgage risk will continue to increase until...

Prime Minister Bruce Golding has vowed to keep Jamaica's anti-sodomy law on the books, regardless of criticism from gay rights advocates. Golding told Parliament on Tuesday that gay rights advocates are ''perhaps the most organized lobby in the world'' and he vowed to preserve the country's 145-year-old anti-sodomy law that prohibits sexual acts between men. He says his administration will not ''liberalize the laws'' in the face of criticism from any international groups. Human Rights Watch has been urging Golding to repeal the anti-sodomy law. Earlier this year, Golding came under fire for saying he would not allow gays in...

Idaho is poised to fight the invasion of quagga mussels, tiny little creatures that wreak tremendous havoc in waterways and water pipes. The mussels are typically introduced into new states by infected boats. The mussels produce millions of eggs that get stuck on boat hulls and in bilges. Once in a river, they move downstream. The House State Affairs Committee on Wednesday unanimously voted to print a bill sponsored by Rep. Eric Anderson, R-Priest Lake, requiring all boats in Idaho waters to have a special sticker that would fund prevention programs.

March 02, 2009 Michelle Obama's Patient-Dumping Scheme By David Catron The First Lady helped create a notorious program that dumped poor patients on community hospitals, yet the national media ignore the story. Imagine if her husband were a Republican. The University of Chicago Medical Center has received a good deal of justly opprobrious press over its policy of "redirecting" low-income patients to community hospitals while reserving its own beds for well-heeled patients requiring highly profitable procedures. Substantial coverage was given to a recent indictment of the program by the American College of Emergency Physicians. ACEP's president, Dr. Nick Jouriles, released...

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama's proposal to limit itemized tax deductions for high earners is running into opposition from key Democrats in Congress who worry that charities and the housing market would be hurt. Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus questioned Wednesday whether the proposal was viable, a day after his House counterpart also expressed reservations. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner said tax increases on families making more than $250,000 a year are necessary to make a down payment on health care reform and to limit future budget deficits. But, he said, he was willing to work with lawmakers on proposals...

~ EXCERPT ~ I don't really know where to begin on this one. Most Americans don't realize the implications of a nationalized financial system, which is where we're rapidly headed (despite what Obama and Ben Bernanke will tell you, it's looking more and more like Citibank and Bank of America will be nationalized). The fact is, the government could have all kinds of fun owning the largest banks; the Democrats could extend their "Affordable Housing Policies" and make mortgages available to everyone (how we got in this mess in the first place). Besides the housing markets, the government could easily...
