LOS ANGELES - A member of the LGBTQ community in Los Angeles says her friends are pushing her away after she voted for Donald Trump. "I definitely feel like I’m on an island alone," said Tanya Tsikanovsky, who resides in LA's San Fernando Valley. "The queer people have turned their backs on me, and I’m queer, so it’s very painful." According to Tsikanovsky, she worked in Iowa with the Hillary Clinton election campaign in 2016. Then, she voted for Joe Biden in 2020. "I was absolutely that person who would say if you’re a Trump supporter, I don’t want you...

It’s high time to shatter the myth of Nancy Pelosi as a master strategist. Nobody deserves more blame than the ridiculously self-titled “speaker emerita” for the Democrats’ $1 billion electoral collapse. Under her ruthless leadership, her party lost the White House, the House, the Senate and the popular vote. You can’t say that enough. Voters rejected the Dems coast to coast, even in Pelosi’s deepest-blue home city of San Francisco, which saw a 7-point swing to Donald Trump. She’s the only speaker in history to have lost control of the House twice. She’s finished. The empress emeritus has no clothes,...

President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth says he was blackmailed during the #MeToo movement, and paid off an accuser to keep her silent, his attorney Timothy Parlatore tells The Post. Hegseth, who worked as a Fox News host until Trump picked him for his Cabinet, paid an undisclosed amount to a woman who accused him of sexual assault, which he maintains was consensual, his lawyer confirmed. “Basically, he was totally innocent. He did nothing wrong here,” Parlatore said. “We went through a mediation and ultimately settled for far less than what she wanted. And that should...

The mayor of Newport Beach in California is blasting Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom and other lefty state pols over yet another boatload of illegal migrants who just washed onto the shores of his town. “Get your act together,” fumed Mayor Will O’Neill in a fiery interview with Fox 11 on Saturday — after the Coast Guard nabbed 21 migrants in a fishing boat off the beach Thursday night. “You cannot continue to treat every city in California like a border city.” The migrants were identified as two Uzbeki nationals and one Russian in addition to 18 Mexicans, the outlet reported....

Eva Longoria has clarified that she did not leave the US because of Donald Trump, despite warning the country has become 'dystopian'. The actress confirmed that she relocated to Europe due to her work commitments. She explained her decision during a phone call to her friend Ana Navarro, who was appearing on the Behind The Table podcast. 'I didn't leave because of the political environment. I left because my work took me there,' Longoria, 49, said. 'I'm a proud American. I've always been a proud American. Proud Texan, proud American. I didn't want it to be taken that I left...

Californians can’t beat the Trump administration all by ourselves. We need allies. A whole wide world of them. Let’s face facts. California, despite our size and power, isn’t strong enough to win a protracted legal, political, financial and perhaps violent war with a lawless U.S. government.

The United States’ first known case of a more severe strain of mpox was confirmed in California, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Saturday. The risk of clade I mpox to the public remains low, the agency said. The person diagnosed with clade I mpox had recently traveled from Eastern Africa, where an mpox outbreak is ongoing. The person was treated at a local medical facility and released, the CDC said. The person has been isolating at home and their symptoms are improving. The state and CDC are working to identify and follow up with potential contacts....

A poll co-sponsored by the left-leaning Los Angeles Times props up failed presidential candidate Kamala Harris as a front-runner for the 2026 California gubernatorial race. The poll from the UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies shows Vice President Kamala Harris may benefit from some name recognition in a potentially crowded field, and has the support of many Democrat voters in the state. Current Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) cannot seek reelection because of term limits.

A judge on Friday rejected California’s lawsuit against the city of Huntington Beach over a local measure allowing officials to require voter identification at the polls. Orange County Superior Court Judge Nico Dourbetas ruled that existing state law does not block the local measure, which was approved by voters earlier this year. The ruling could clear the way for the majority-Republican city to implement one of California’s only voter ID requirements at the polls in local elections. “It’s a massive black eye to the state of California,” City Attorney Michael Gates said of the ruling. “And what the state of...

Democrat Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) said everything we are all thinking about his party— and he couldn’t be more right. Fetterman, a “blunt, says-what-he-means” guy described by NBC News, is different from the rest of the Democratic Party. He understands the Trump movement and why President-elect Donald Trump has such a massive following. He also stands out from the rest of his party members because even though he might not like Trump, Fetterman doesn’t spend his days thinking of ways to destroy his legacy. Instead, he has a message for his Democrat colleagues. Stop “freaking out” over everything Trump does,...

The Los Angeles City Council on Tuesday voted in support of eliminating a rule that allows renters to be evicted when landlords remodel their buildings. Under the city’s “just cause” eviction rules, landlords can evict tenants only for specific reasons, one of which is to “substantially remodel” their properties.... The motion approved by the City Council asks for new rules that would let tenants keep paying rent and maintain their tenancy while remodels take place. Similar rules already exist for rent-controlled properties under the Tenant Habitability Program, which requires owners doing significant renovations to submit plans to protect tenants while...

Tim_Walz calls for eliminating the Electoral College during a fundraiser at Gavin Newsom's private residence in Sacramento. "I think all of us know the electoral college needs to go," per a pool report. "We need national popular vote, but that's not the world we live in." ... Democrats: “We need to destroy the Constitution!" ... Walz wants mob rule ... Gavin is happy he said it. You know Gavin wants Kamala to lose so he can attempt to run in 2028. He’s slippery that way.

Governor Gavin Newsom (D-CA) said Sunday on MSNBC’s “Inside” that it was not an overstatement to call former President Donald Trump a fascist. Newsom said, “I said this from day one, he is weakness masquerading a strength. He’s a broken person. You are seeing that. He’s becoming increasingly this is remarkable to be able to say this because he is often graded on the curve, and he is increasingly acting deranged and unhinged. The rhetoric coming from the Harris campaign absolutely mimics what we are watching, and you saw that 39 minute curious narcissism on another level, where people had...

Soon-Shiong said he was specifically looking for influential conservative voices like Scott Jennings at CNN. Jennings has been a commentator on the left-leaning outlet since 2017. Soon-Shiong previously stated that he would be working to make the newspaper more fair moving forward, after deciding not to endorse a presidential candidate in the 2024 elections. Several newspaper owners withheld endorsements in the 2024 elections, with Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos claiming it...
