COMMAND CONFIDENCE Kerry staff: "Unfit not a problem, media is committed to seeing us win")

According to a Kerry campaign source, senior campaign advisers tasked two Washington-based campaign staffers to vet the recently published Unfit for Command.
"The purpose was to compare what that book had with what we had on file from Senator Kerry," says the campaign source, who said that the research project developed more than 75 instances where Kerry's recollections, previous remarks, or writings conflicted with the book's reporting.
"We took some of the most glaring examples, like the Christmas in Cambodia story, and presented them to senior staff, and we assume that those things were put in front of Senator Kerry," says the source. "We haven't heard a word about it. All we were told is that it was being taken care of."
The campaign source said that the book was not considered a "serious" problem for the campaign, because, "the media wouldn't have the nerve to come at us with this kind of stuff," says the source.
"The senior staff believes the media is committed to seeing us win this thing, and that the convention inoculated us from these kinds of stories. The senior guys really think we don't have a problem here."

Too bad O'reilly believes Kerry's version of history and calls the Swift Boat Vets liars. Seems O'reilly is out of his element, kind of weak between the ears ;)

This reminds me of the line in Hunt For Red October said to Capt. Tupolev "You arrogant ass. You've killed US!"

"the media wouldn't have the nerve to come at us with this kind of stuff," says the source.
The ultimate in hubris.

Here is a VERIFIABLE story of arrogance and "power" IF you have the fortitude.

That is why we need more conservative outlets for news. Of course according to Hitlery, this vast right wing conspiracy is the press.

I don't EVER want to hear any Lib try to tell me from this point forward that the media is biased toward the RIGHT. That the media is controlled by Conservatives. They just confirmed the opposite here. You're exactly right. Your post just convinced me to print this article and wave it around a few places. This is a very good story to illustrate that the Demodogs and lamestream Fraudcasters are in cahoots.

Here is the Bush-Cheney ping list. I suggest everyone email this to as many media members as they can and demand an explanation since the Kerry Campaign has stated in public:
"The senior staff believes the media is committed to seeing us win this thing, and that the convention inoculated us from these kinds of stories. The senior guys really think we don't have a problem here."
Might want to write your local papers with a Letter to the Editor or send this quote to the Editor of the paper and ask them if this applies to their paper.

It is so glaringly obvious the difference in how the media handled the stories about Bush's service in Alabama and how they are (not) handling this. The staffer is correct - the media will give Kerry a pass.
To: PhiKapMom
Hello, PhiKapMom- besides the usual suspects in 'netland, my church & synagogue groups got this ( and other damning links )-- I don't think the media can bury this like they did so many other stories.

"...the media will give Kerry a pass." Yes, the Vast LeftWing Medyuh Whore'd will try to bury this, but we've got Limbaugh, Hannity, Drudge, FNC, etal. to keep stoking the fire and making it impossible fer the DemonRAT Leftist Medyuh to sweep this under the rug.

They can't report on the Kerry fairy tales without putting a 400 pound rider on their horse in the last furlong. Nobody will watch the rest of the race if they do that. The media makes it their business to handicap this thing down to the wire/photo finish/judicial review/USSC decision, assuring themselves the ratings they desire straight thru next March.
