IA, the heat here is wonderful! It has been quite dry (around 5% to 12%) but is up today, as I think we're finally in the monsoon season. I for one, will be glad when it's over, but we need the rain to help with the fires around here.

That's a problem, though I don't think it's insurmountable.

I know that reaction, internalizing your pain, grief, and all of the tumultuous emotions and nagging doubts that are afflicting you, is pretty common, and I would probably feel the same way, were I placed in her position.

The tendency is to withdraw from the things that are piercing your soul, and to insulate yourself from a scenario that was once inconceivable, but which is now a manifest reality.

That's an instinctual reaction.

Fight or flight.

There's really nothing that she can do to fight the mortality of other people she loves, so the natural response is to find some sort of mental sanctuary in which to cocoon herself.

It is in the low 80s by me, but with miserable high humidity. I have to have the AC on to be comfortable.

Ever since it was down on the 3rd of July, it has been lagging, sometimes as long as 45 minutes. It's really frustrating.

How is/was your vacation? I hope you got to do/see something fun and relaxing.
