Hi IA! Long time no see.
At least if you proctor a test at college, there is a probable computer with internet connection to play with while you are there.
Just remember to MUTE the sound so there are no pings during the tests.
Plus, don't forget to put them at ease by telling them to pray for a high D.
We have faith in you and your abilities!
You GO, Girl!
:o]
LOL! We don't have any Sizzlers around here. We have...um...
The general fast food chains (McD's, BK, Hardee's, Arby's, Subway, Quiznos)
Applebee's
Panera
Garfield's
Fazolli's
um...
I can't remember what else.
Welcome.
Fingers crossed.
Toes crossed.
Arms crossed..
Uh oh.. I'll be right back.
Prayers for your friend and her grandmother. It is always hard to be alone. You're a good friend, KP. If I were Tora, I would want you for a friend.
Wait. I'm not Tora, but I DO want you for a friend.
Er..I mean...I'm glad you're a FRiend. ;o]
So...are you back here now, or are you still Island Hopping? (Inquiring minds want to know...)
LOL! Oh...that reminds me... I probably should bring a book to read with me to the exam.
Don't injure yourself Darks!
The Applebee's around here are pretty good. I haven't had any experiences like that here. You must have just gone to a bad one.
And no Howard Johnsons around here. (We don't have much!) I forgot that we do have a Golden Corral, though.
Unfortunately, that statement is probably the most accurate description of our experience that I've come across.
:(
Even though I'm pessimistic by nature, I suppose that there are still a lot of things that inspire confidence-or at the very least, hope-in the future.
I don't know if this will help your friend, but maybe it will give her an opportunity to reflect upon some of the more fulfilling aspects of life.
When Tora's parents decided to conceive and bring her into this world, their overriding concern wasn't how it would impact their own lives, but rather, what she would be, and how they could facilitate her own growth as a human being.
Their love for her wasn't contingent upon the frailties of health, or the vagaries of the human condition.
It was a gift that was bequeathed to her unconditionally; something which stands apart from time, and which-hopefully-transcends whatever tragedies may befall the people who imbued her with this uniquely parental affection.
Our lives and our corporeal presence are transitory, but there are some things that-if we're lucky-will be embedded in our collective memory permanently, even after the events that occasioned those reflections have evaporated, and the people who made them are no longer there to share them with us.
I know that it's probably not much of a consolation at this moment, but I think that if she can care for her existing family and friends-while grieving for the loss of those who she's no longer able to reach-she'll be able to cope somewhat with the pain and loss she's experiencing right now.
...crossed legs.
*sigh*
I'm back.
Make them squirm, put a book cover over what you are reading that says Koran...
best luck on busting the curve, toots!
Hi Tulip. I have been over in China. It is still there.
