[There is a scuffing of heavy boots on the porch. The door opens and the blinding glare of the afternoon sun backlights a tall, cloaked figure. Entering, the figure closes the door, and throws back it's hood to reveal the hard-edged but friendly features of an infrequent but friendly visitor. As he steps to the bar for a draught of ale, his piercing gaze passes over the room, noting the familiar faces of the regular patrons, exchanging here a knowing smile and there a nod of recognition.]
Thousands of posts ago, you were mulling about getting some kind of graphic software. Did you?
Recently, my Pixar insider clued me into a beginner-friendly 2D-animation software called Moho; available from LostMarble.
http://www.lostmarble.com/
The free download has a watermark on published work, but is full-featured and easy to learn. I let my 10 year-old play with it and, using the on-line tutorial, he was able to easily create basic animations all on his own.

Reference DC's cautionary statements regarding extreme air loss, in this extraordinarily unlikely event, only substantial internal structures should be used for shelter.
Do not seek shelter in the greenhouses, aviaries, or the cottages in the agricultural sections. Move immediately to the cylindrical tubes and spherical cars which comprise our transportation system. The "eyelid" doors of this system are airlock doors. Emergency waiting stations reminiscent of London's "underground" shelters are emplaced at regular intervals.
(Special note: Avoid those portions of the system that lead OUTSIDE of the pod you are in. They are NOT safe to enter without spacesuits.)

Welcome to the Undead Thread II...we're more than half-way to the end of the Internet, (for the second time) and the castle should soon be fully functional...
We're all rather strange, but we fit in here, somehow...

Good ale, that. Handcrafted, I'm guessing?
What you can't tell from my profile (but might if I ever take time to make it more extensive):
I come from English/Irish stock dating to the mid-1600's when our family fled to Ireland to evade religious persecution by the English Crown. After immigrating to the New World in the early 1800's the family gradually moved West, through what was then called "Indian Territory", until we arrived at the West Coast in the 1920's. The deterioration of the land of our chosen settlement has been of grave concern to me, and I have determined to fight rather than flee; though this growns increasingly perilous as the tyrrany of the governing class increases. Lately reduced to the status of a squatter (ref. Kelo), our position seems more precarious than at any time since The Founding.
I have invested fifteen years in the practice of CAD/Mechanical Design and Engineering, which has been fulfilling enough, until recently. To quote old Smee, "I've 'ad an apostrophe!" In the parlance of the moderns: a paradigm shift. I suppose it is a function of maturity, but that and other more personal events have aligned such that satisfaction with my work has evaporated nearly completely as I more clearly view it's significance in light of life, family, friends and future. Frankly, nobody really cares what becomes of ECO# 248318. I'd rather stay home with my wife and kids, work on a book I've been mulling over ("The Complete Philistine: A Spotter's Handbook"), and engage other diversions of a more personally satisfying nature.
So, I come here. I knock the mud and societal detritus from my boots, shake the dust of battle out of my cloak, and haul up to the bar where I know there's always something interesting to discuss. And, when the Internet ends (again), I know that, thanks to the ZOT of some mind-numbed troll, we will probably be reincarnated again, by the grace of JimRob and his prophet Admin Moderator, may they live long and prosper.

It's about 20X20 - so 400 sq. ft. That was about the size of our first house (maybe up to 500 sq.ft.). Two bedroom to boot, but no closets (no room). And perched on a 35-degree slope in a private (this was the only buildable lot!) redwood canyon in the mountains.

Yah...I don't even like the "Passenger card with drawings depicting the exits"...oh. And did I mention? I'm a white-knuckle flyer... Sorry to hear that. Trying to remember -- what airline was it I was on recently whose card actually showed a plane in the water with people with their seat-bottom flotation devices swimming away from the plane?

Stretching as I wake up from a long nap (where I was in a parallel universe doing things like trimming hedges and rearranging furniture and going shopping. A lot of shopping), I look around me.
"My, my, things have certainly changed since I last woke up!"

I love flying. I'm just not too crazy about having to take my shoes off to go through security at the airport. Annoys me too, especially since I have slipons (loafers) that are "airport-friendly" -- no metal. Sometimes the TSA staff look at me and think "frequent-flyer" (there are a number of tipoffs I can identify) and let me through.
I just wish I could find belts without metal buckles.

and Sionnsar's "serenades" will come through the tiny windows and air vents. What's with the "scare quotes"!?!
But you're right about the air vents (ducts), as I learned many years ago. (Just moved to a new area, living in an apartment, I took the pipes in one Saturday to play in a conference room, unaware that the sound was being, um, piped all over the building.)

Thanks for the welcome. I haven't been here since around post 25,500 or so.
I'm enjoying the ongoing Castle project. I had a class years ago in H.S. called "Futures" that really set the imagination loose. We'd brainstorm the fallout to "what if" questions like "What if the world's supply of crude oil really did run out?" The castle project reminds me of the creativity we'd engage answering some of the what if's.
King Prout,
How are you adapting to TurboCAD 11 Pro??

No, it's been a long time since I've flown either. UA drew my ire on my first flight in 1968 -- I've flown them once since then and over three decades haven't improved things. BA antagonized me with the most annoying (to me) video sequences on their Seattle-London flights; I much prefer Continental or Northwest to Europe.
I'm thinking it was Horizon (Alaska affiliate).
