Many FReepers have knowledge to share about improving and maintaining health and would like to share it and learn from others; and others may not know much yet but want to learn. Some of us don't have much money for good insurance or doctors, some want to try other methods besides prescription meds, and some have experience in treating and solving health problems.
More and more "regular" doctors have accepted treatment methods such as the benefits of acupuncture, massage for many conditions, better diet, use of herbs and so on. There are limits, and often side effects, to some standard medical efforts.
My field is Ayurvedic herbalism and related measures, and have a lot of information I can post when I have time. I have seen herbs and sometimes dietary changes help people (including myself) with issues such as rheumatoid arthritis, high BP, gallstones, kidneystones, repeated boils, UTIs, prostate problems, insomnia, allergies, urinary incontinence, and many more. I hope to learn a lot from others with their knowledge and experience.
There are many "old fashioned" home care methods that were in common use a few generations ago that actually work and are cheap, such as castor oil packs, fomentations using alternating hot and cold water, and the like, which are easy to do. I am sure there is a lot of knowledge here on Free Republic that can be shared.
I would like this thread to stay civil without distruption, so my request is that people who think natural health methods are bunkum, make your own thread.
My heart is really touched, thank you. I hoped that my “story” would help others. I don’t want another experience like this, but I learned many valuable lessons.
A wonderful bit of wisdom from the great C.S.Lewis:
“God allows us to experience the low points of life in order to teach us lessons that we could learn in no other way.”
― C.S. Lewis
I know you asked about my heart formula proportions.
Here is is, parts can be any measure, depends on how much is made. I usually make about 1 quart jar at a time, as I take it daily. I take about 1 1/2 t. a day.
3 pts Arjuna
1 pt Hawthoren (could be 2 pts)
1 pt Jatamansi
1/4 pt cinnamon
Pinging the list and a few others to a lot of links on this thread with cancer info of various kinds. Lots and lots of info.

Thank you so much for your testimony and all your wonderful information. I’m so glad I joined your ping list so long ago! God bless you.
There are so many ways of treating cancer (and other conditions), the more people who know there is hope, the better.
Thank you, lj, for your dedication to help all of us and others. God bless.
Thank you for your kind words.
I have got to post about dealing with anxiety/stress/depression naturally. There are so many ways. I have notes but not written it up yet. Soon!!!
THANK YOU FOR THE PING!!!
Has anybody ever heard of NAION? And any possible natural treatments for it?
Thank you for posting the information on herbal anticancer treatments. I had cancer on the floor of my mouth removed in 2019. I wish I had known about lymphedema before I let them remove lymph nodes in my neck. But massages and exercises help move the fluid.
Sorry to hear about the lymphodema. Surgeon wanted to remove all lymph nodes on R arm side. I am glad there is some relief for you.
I had to look it up. If you want to post a bit more information, I will ping the list and maybe someone knows about it. All I can think of are generic things that are good for eyes. Ping me if you post more; with more info I might have some kind of ideas, it involves circulation to the eye?
A good friend of mine has been diagnosed with non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION). It is a potentially debilitating condition that occurs from a lack of sufficient blood flow to the optic nerve. She started experiencing some blindness in one eye, now she’s experiencing some blindness in both eyes. She’s in her early 60s.
The docs don’t seem to know much about what causes it or how to reverse it (if that’s even possible).
Pinging the list: Does anyone know about this conditionm NAION? A freeper posted the below and if anyone has any information would appreciate it:

I have never heard of that but I have optical migraines from allergies. I know when they are coming on because one eye goes blind just prior. If I take a Benadryl and a Tylenol as soon as the vision in one eye goes wonky, it will normally go away before the head pain starts. Allergies along with bright flashing lights trigger it. I have been having them since I was about 14.

LJ, have a friend who had this happen to his eyes.
Started walking 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week.
Blood flow started again.
Also, before he began this daily practice, I was worried if he was long for this world.
After two years, totally different guy.
I was really amazed.
I started the same practice. Just finished my first year.
Feeling so much better.
CJ - check out aMorePerfectUnion’s comment above!
(For years I walked (briskly) about 1 hour every morning. I loved it, really good for the entire body. Sadly can’t do it any more...)
aMorePerfectUnion, thank you for the ideas!
Humans were are designed for walking. Throughout the entire history of mankind people walked all the time, until automobiles. Walked to friends, the stores, to get water, to the farms, to work. Not walking degrades the whole body. I know it personally as I used to walk daily, a lot. For a year or more I can barely walk, and it’s gotten worse over time. I can feel the circulation, heart, lungs, everything - degrading.
(Dh knows a good treatment method and I am begging him to start regularly with it. I will report back if I can start walking again.)
