LJ, have a friend who had this happen to his eyes.
Started walking 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week.
Blood flow started again.
Also, before he began this daily practice, I was worried if he was long for this world.
After two years, totally different guy.
I was really amazed.
I started the same practice. Just finished my first year.
Feeling so much better.

(For years I walked (briskly) about 1 hour every morning. I loved it, really good for the entire body. Sadly can’t do it any more...)
