Many FReepers have knowledge to share about improving and maintaining health and would like to share it and learn from others; and others may not know much yet but want to learn. Some of us don't have much money for good insurance or doctors, some want to try other methods besides prescription meds, and some have experience in treating and solving health problems.

More and more "regular" doctors have accepted treatment methods such as the benefits of acupuncture, massage for many conditions, better diet, use of herbs and so on. There are limits, and often side effects, to some standard medical efforts.

My field is Ayurvedic herbalism and related measures, and have a lot of information I can post when I have time. I have seen herbs and sometimes dietary changes help people (including myself) with issues such as rheumatoid arthritis, high BP, gallstones, kidneystones, repeated boils, UTIs, prostate problems, insomnia, allergies, urinary incontinence, and many more. I hope to learn a lot from others with their knowledge and experience.

There are many "old fashioned" home care methods that were in common use a few generations ago that actually work and are cheap, such as castor oil packs, fomentations using alternating hot and cold water, and the like, which are easy to do. I am sure there is a lot of knowledge here on Free Republic that can be shared.

I would like this thread to stay civil without distruption, so my request is that people who think natural health methods are bunkum, make your own thread.

I I got cancer (again) or anyone I know, I would encourage them to take ivermectin and fenbendazole. Actually I have encouraged one friend already, along with my list of herbs etc that worked for me.

Pinging the list for comprehensive (as much as I could find) info on using Ivermectin and two anti-parasiticides for cancer, and three links with more cancer info from this thread, below. I put this together recently for a friend. Some other info about Ivermectin as well.

Ivermectin and Cancer

There is a huge amount of information about the use of Ivermectin and other drugs that are often used against parasites for treating cancer. The difficult part is finding exact dosage. Therefore it is more or less uncharted territory. I have collected as much information as I could about this, but have not had time to read every single link carefully to extract the useful bits. I do know people online that have used Ivermectin in conjunction with chemo and had miraculous results, she had breats cancer that had spread to the spine. Another person in remission from melanoma cancer remains cancer free by taking a dose of Ivermectin 4 times a year.
(see last link below)

Ivermectin has shown results with breast, prostate, and I think colon cancer, as well as other cancers.

Fenbendazole is another anti-parasite medicine that has helped many with cancer, the link shows a good place to buy it. There is a version for humans but one has to have a positive parasite test with a doctor and then pay a lot of money for it. The animal kind is exactly the same, but cheap and can be bought online, the link has bulk powder and the dose is at the site. If not, it would be the same dosage as for a very large heavy dog. The info below also explains how it cures covid quickly.

My best guess about using Ivermectin when treating cancer that is not active or in remission, would be to take one dose a month for a while and see how the numbers go. There really is little to no “official” information abo
ut using Ivermectin for cancer. If I had cancer again I would definitely use it. For your friend with the horrible cancer plus the other disease, I would take one dose of Ivermectin a day for a week, and then one dose a week for some time, and see if things improve. I sent you dosage chart already, it’s according to weight.

Ivermectin - there is no dosage information, if someone wants to take it they can contact me or do searches. It is a very safe drug. Links to info on Ivermectin and cancer. Ivermectin is commonly used for parasite infections, as well as bacterial and virus infections.

Science
Ivermectin is extraordinary.
It renders spike proteins INERT.
It’s even better than hydroxychloroquine as it treats all stages of “COVID”.

It treats a diverse range of diseases, with its unexpected potential as an antibacterial, antiviral and anti-cancer agent.

It kills coronavirus in 48 hours.
https://www.news-medical.net/news/20200406/Antiparasitic-drug-Ivermectin-kills-coronavirus-in-48-hours.aspx

As Dr. Pierre Kory, Lung Specialist and Associate Professor of Medicine at St. Luke’s Aurora Medical Center, has attested to, profound anti-viral and anti-inflammatory properties of Ivermectin have been identified.

In COVID-19 specifically, studies show that one of its several anti-viral properties is that it strongly binds to the spike protein, keeping the virus from entering the cell.

These effects, along with its multiple abilities to control inflammation, both explain the markedly positive trial results already reported.

Review of the Emerging Evidence Demonstrating the Efficacy of Ivermectin in the Prophylaxis and Treatment of COVID-19
“Meta-analyses based on 18 randomized controlled treatment trials of ivermectin in COVID-19 have found large, statistically significant reductions in mortality, time to clinical recovery, and time to viral clearance.
Furthermore, results from numerous controlled prophylaxis trials report significantly reduced risks of contracting COVID-19 with the regular use of ivermectin. Finally, the many examples of ivermectin distribution campaigns leading to rapid population-wide decreases in morbidity and mortality indicate that an oral agent effective in all phases of COVID-19 has been identified.”

Here is a bit of personal info from a FReeper who said I can post it.

Diagnosed 3/05/13 via biopsy with metastatic invasive lobular carcinoma HR/PR+ (breast cancer) with mets to spine found by CT scan 2/3/22.

Current Prescribed Treatment:
Palbociclib (Ibrance) 1 pill daily, three weeks on, fourth week off Purpose: to inhibit CDK4 and CDK6
Denosumab (Xgeva) Injection once per 30 days Purpose: to inhbit RANKligand and repair/strengthen bone.
Letrozole 1 pill daily to inhibit estrogen.

Unprescribed treatment:
12 mg Ivermectin every Mon, Wed, and Friday during three weeks on Ibrance. Mg based on patient weight. No ivermectin during off week.
1/2 gallon green tea per day made with purified water. Huge daily doses of natural sunlight (vit D).

Base line bone scan on 6/15/22. Findings: “No abnormal radiotracer uptake to suggest an acute or destructive
process. No evidence of bony metastases. Specifically, no abnormal radiotracer uptake at the T10 or L3 levels to correspond to the mixed lytic and sclerotic lesions seen on previous CT.”

My thoughts/logic on adding ivermectin to my prescribed treatment:

Studies suggest that ivermectin and certain chemotherapies have a synergistic relationship meaning they work better together. I could find no studies that suggested ivermectin had any effect on cancer unless paired with chemo.

Ivermectin is already being used with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Ivermectin is currently being tested to enhance prostate cancer treatment among other studies.

I am stage 4 (considered incurable), and ivermectin is said to be extremely safe. I figured I had nothing to lose and possibly LIFE to gain.

Based on the study at https://acsjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/cncr.29681range, I absolutely give credit to ivermectin as a chemo supplement.

Only 18.5 % of patients achieve NED.

The quick response of my body to NO EVIDENCE OF DISEASE (4 months vs the median time to NED among those who attained it was 11 months)

I am overweight.
Patients with NED were more likely to have a normal body mass index. Only 10.8% of subjects my weight range achieved NED.

Only 15.7% of patients in my age group (age 63) achieved NED.

Only 6.3% of women in study achieved NED. I am woman hear me roar (lol).

Only 12.9% of postmenopausal women achieved NED.

Only 12.2% of patients with reoccurring cancer achieve NED (This is my 3rd cancer reoccurrence).

Lobular cancer diagnosis (MINE) achieve NED 13.6% of time.

Only 19.4% of 1st distance metastases being bone achieve NED.

Various statements by doctor and nurses re: my quick response.

I am not a doctor or physician. I am not giving medical advice. I am telling the story of my cancer treatment.

According to the above statistics, I am one lucky cancer survivor OR my treatment has been boosted by ivermectin.

Can you (or anyone reading) recommend any possibly helpful ways to boost functioning of the kidneys impaired from being given Remdesivir? The person in question has lingering impaired lung function as well from the coof/pneumonia last year, and is (thankfully) unjabbed. TIA for any suggestions!

I will look into kidney help, I do know some good stuff for lung function, will post later. If you can give any of the kidney impairment symptoms, that will help. I know some herbs for general kidney health, esp. in regard to stone formation and infections, also incontinence.

in 2009 with whatever kind of bad flu it was that year (now I am sure it was tweaked) people were getting all kinds of organ impairment, and my kidneys started to hurt and the urinary system was getting weird. I took an Ayurvedic herb formula I keep on hand that worked in a few days, felt better immediately. It is also helpful for prostate problems, I know several men whose BPH symptoms - some of them quite troubling - entirely disappeared. Also good for UTIs, incontinence and most gentito-urinary problems.

Gokshuradi Guggulu, I will post a couple of links later today, remind me. I would not be without it.

Some places to get Gokshuradi guggulu, both tablets and powder. Powders is usually cheaper, doesn’t too bad at all. Just mix with water. Tablets have ingredients to stick them together so I generally use powder but a lot of people like tablets. Banyan Botanicals seems to only have a 1/2# bag, but it is almost the same prices as the much small bottle of tablets. Ingredients are listed. Hmm, I also buy from another source but they seem not to have it any more.

While searching on Amazon, the above are listed there with the same prices as above, but with free shipping so if your friend wants to try this herb formula, free shipping sounds good. The links above have some info, herbs sellers can’t make “claims”...

Pinging the list - a post just above with links and resources for homeopathic remedies, and some info on bone health.

I posted above about using Arjuna for almost all heart problems, but it has other uses as well.

Bone health support - for breaks, fractures, osteoporosis and bone health in general. Many of these herbs have info posted above, and some I may post more about later.

Arjuna
Especially good for heart health, posted earlier

Tissues it supports: plasma, blood, muscle, fat, bone, nerve, marrow
Systems it supports: cardiac, respiratory, nervous, digestive, urinary
For aiding the knitting of bone fractures, Arjuna can be prepared with milk or combined with other herbs like Comfrey leaf (if not allergic) and Manjistha.

[be careful with comfrey, most people aren’t allergic but it makes some people vomit]

Manjista

Has many other uses especially for blood and skin problems, especially inflammatory, posted above on the thread.

Tissues: plasma, blood, muscle, bone, reproductive
Systems: circulatory, female reproductive, urinary, bone
Manjista speeds up the healing of wounds and ulcers. It stops bleeding including in the GI and urinary tract. For knitting bones, it combines well with Arjuna and comfrey leaves.

Nettle

Tissues: plasma, blood, bone, nerve and marrow
Systems: digestive, nervous, respiratory, urinary
Nettle is a nutrient rich herb that may be as beneficial as many of the more costly green food supplements. (If anyone lives near nettle growing, they can be picked - carefully - and steamed or simmered and eaten cooked with a little butter and salt and are definitely edible. I’ve had them.)
Nettle can be helpful in many conditions: edema, respiratory congestion, mucous accumulation in the stomach or colon. Removes uric acid from the system, useful for treating gout, arthritis and rheumatic conditions. Can help with bleeding disorders, itching skin disorders, and exposure to allegens such as mold, dust, pollens and chemicals.

Nettle is a good blood and bone building tonic rich in iron, calcium, potassium, zinc, magnesium, and silica, as well as a variety of other vitamins and minerals. It makes a decent tasting tea.

Shilajit

Tissues: Works on all tissues
Systems: urinary, reproductive, nervous, circulatory
Shilajit is a black tar-like mineral pitch that exudes from some rocks in the Himalayas, and forms as the result of decomposing vegetation. It is a rich source of minerals in ionic form, such as magnesium, zinc, iron, and silica, as well as humic and fulvic acid. It helps to build blood and bone tissue.
It has many other uses, mainly rejuvenative, I will post more about it in the future.

A few more helpful for bone health, most of these have info posted earlier on the thread:

Amalaki

Amalaki nourishes the bones and promotes the grown of hair, teeth, and nails, which in Ayurvedic medicine are considered the byproducs of the bone tissue. It helps with bone density conditions such as osteoporosis. It is a rich source of iron and Vit C.

Gotu Kola

Excellent rejuvenative for mind and nervous system that promotes cellular regeneration, helps to heal damage ot nerve tissue, and it strengthens nerve and bone tissue.

Yogaraj Guggulu

A traditional Ayurvedic compound used to treat many conditions, including rheumatioid arthritis (cured mine), osteoarthritis, osteoporosis and gout, Has affinity for joints, nerve tissue and I will post more about it in the future. It can help strengthen bones so can be useful for healing broken bones.

I will post sources for everything below and in the bone health comment but I may not get to it today. I already can’t catch today’s tail. I will post tomorrow some more strengthening and supportive herbs. Plus sources.

Here are a few more suggestions for supporting general vitality, supporting muscle tissue health, and good for as maintenance herbs for anyone dealing with recovering from illness or injury, chronic conditions or general debility, or “I’m not as young as I used to be” syndrome. (hahaha). I have posted about these herbs before on the thread but I don’t mind doing again. Not listing everything about these herbs, mostly properties helpful for strength, vitality, recuperation from illness or injury, or as maintenance for supporting health.

Ashwagandha

Rejuvenative, tonic, aphrodisiac (strengthens function, not agitating), nervine, sedative, analgesic, anabolic (building), anti-inflammatory, immunomodulator, adaptogen

Uses
Fatigue, general debility, tissue deficiency, old age, senility, sciatica, rheumatism, infertility, impotence, anxiety, MS, stress factors, overwork, heart conditions

A nutritive tonic, enhances the toine and strength of muscles, nourishes bone, marrow and nervous tissues. Excellent as a male reproductive tonic. Balances and regulates the immune system and replenishes energy from general stress, overwork, old age, or debilitating and wasting diseases, calms and nourishes the nervous system. Can be taken as a hot tea or milk decoction before bed. It promotes mental clarity, concentration and memory (among other herbs).

Helpful in neurological conditions such as rheumatism, Parkinsons, muscular dystrophy, MS etc, it pacifies the muscles and nervous system.

Bala

Rejuvenative, alterative, reduces fever, anticonvulsant, nervine, aphrodisiac (as above), stimulant (means improves bodily functions, not a drug), cardiac tonic

Uses:
Physical and mental debility, chronic fatigue, muscle atrophy, Parkinsons, spasms, cramps, tremors, stroke paralysis, Bell’s palsy, nervous diseases, convalesence.

In Sanskrit Bala means “strength”, this herb is one of the best rejuvenative tonis. Bala nourishes all bodily tissues, espcially the plasma, muscle, nerve, marrow and reproductive tissues, and helps to correct disorders relating to deficiency and weakness of the body and mind. It is commonly used for chronic fatigue, general debility, muscle atroply, neurological diseases, in convalesence and for the elderly. Helsps with maintaining normal muscle tone and coordination and relieve cramping.

Improves cardiac function with stimunant and tonic properties, increasing cardiac output with less risk of riasing the blood pressure or heart rate. Caution should be taken if an individual has hypertension.

Helps strengthen bones, used in treating osteoporosis, and osteorarthritis and is anti-inflammatory. Bala promotes mental energy and stability, especially when combined with other herbs such as ashwaganda and others.
