Hobbes was traumatized like you can't believe. She already had not eaten for three days by the time she was placed in the kennel, so she was in pretty bad shape.

Ohyah...I forgot one small detail...I walked across the street on Monday to get a dish of ice cream, and was just tired enough that I didn't pick my feet up all the way. My right toe hit the lip of a curb, and I took a four-point landing into the street, right in front of a car. If the car had been going faster, I would have had to delay my trip...

Both my knees are skinned, and my right palm was a little scratched, but I am fine. The ice cream survived the ordeal, as well! (The car didn't stop for me, nor did any other, and no one offered to help me up.)

I brought you all souvenier T-Shirts from "The Thing?" outside of Wilcox... :-)

I started describing the trip in post 4310. We're going to use one of the balloon-jet lift towers as a freight and passenger hauler.

We need to make a beer run, and somebody put the Irish Sea between us and the Guinness.

After the balloon is extruded, and the jets deployed, the tower lowers to a horizontal orientation. The balloon provides lift, and the jets permit fine motor control for turns and lateral translation.

The structure looks a little like a Roman trireme with all the little portholes along the top for viewing windows, but we won't ask our passengers to row.

Poor Hobbes. They really hate moving.

George hid in the closet for almost a week and we only moved a few hundred yards and I carried him in my arms the whole way. ( concrete was too cold for his little paws)

I left food, water and the litter box nearby and left him to figure it out. You try to force it and they get even more freaked.

Glad you weren't injured badly. Scrapes always sting like fire though. I never got that. Pain is suppose to be our bodies warning system so why does a scrape hurt so much worse then a deep cut?
