75% Of American People Wrong On Child Tax Credit! June 16, 2003 In the audio link below, I share with you the latest news on the child tax credit for people that don't pay taxes. "Rush, how can you have a tax credit for people who don't pay taxes?" Well, you can't - but that hasn’t stopped certain Republicans from trying to buy their way out of Democrat attacks with your money. The "tax writer" for the Associated Press writes a story on those few Republicans in the House who are fighting for what's right on this. Those Republicans demand...

When I changed parties a few years ago, many of my Republican friends couldn't believe it. After all, I'd been a Republican since my first vote. I had long dreamt of the day when the Republicans would win control of the House and Senate. In 1994 I got my wish. I was certain the policies Ronald Reagan espoused would soon become a reality. Spending and taxes would fall faster than sweat from a fat man's brow on a hot day in Juarez. Freedom from government regulation would reign across the land. Political expedience in the legislature would come to a...

Everything the Left Said About the War was WrongBy David HorowitzFrontPageMagazine.com | April 29, 2003 In the aftermath of a successful war it opposed as a certain disaster, the left is attempting to rewrite the script, counting on others to forget what it said and did. No one has attempted this with more brazen aplomb than Arianna Huffington, a recent convert to the cause. In a column titled, "Why the Anti-War Movement Was Right," she has joined the self-satisfied ranks of smart people who seem determined to demonstrate that they don’t know what they’re talking about. In the lead up to...

Feminists and Other Activists Say No to War on Iraq October 10, 2002 Statement of NOW Action Vice President Olga Vives On the eve of the Congressional vote on whether to take military action in Iraq, the National Organization for Women stands with a diverse coalition of leaders from the religious, academic, business and labor communities to demand peace. Congress must reassert the integrity of our country's foreign policy by voting down a dangerous resolution that would give the Bush-Cheney administration broad authority for "pre-emptive strikes" against Iraq and any other country they believe may act against U.S. interests. NOW...

I WAS WRONG Paul Wolfowitz thought U.S. forces would be greeted as liberators in Iraq. I did not. His prediction in this case, was correct. I was wrong. (And not for the last time, I’m guessing.) I hope Mr. Wolfowitz has equally good luck in the rest of his predictions since they seem to be driving U.S. foreign policy right now. I’d be amazed, and the consequences of his being wrong will likely be catastrophic for this country, but as I said, I’ve been wrong before. And as far as the Iraqi liberation goes, I’m extremely pleased to be wrong...

JOSEPH PERKINS Why have the war critics been so wrong? Joseph Perkins SAN DIEGO UNION-TRIBUNE April 11, 2003 Forgive me for engaging in a little "triumphalism." I'm darn proud of our men and women in uniform. They came, they saw, they kicked Saddam's posterior. In a mere three weeks. And "with less than half the ground forces and two-thirds of the air assets used 12 years ago in Desert Storm," as Vice President Dick Cheney noted this week. As coalition forces mop up in Iraq, the focus turns to the post-war campaign – getting humanitarian aid to the needful Iraqi...

Any good coach will tell you never to underestimate an opponent, even one that seems outmatched. The reason is that when contenders begin a contest assuming they will win easily, their psychology is not prepared for even small setbacks, which then become magnified.

I watched Fox and Friends this morning, and Brian Kilmeade was back from Kuwait. He was telling different stories about the soldiers there. The snow and ice was extremely thick this morning, and the Foxnews camera panned outside to the street, and Brian and the other co-hosts noticed that several cars were stuck on the ice. During the next segment, Brian and about 30 people went outside and pushed and pulled three different stuck cars out of the ice and snow. One of which was a New York Policeman. You wouldn't see any other anchors doing this. I love Foxnews!!!

Spending: Having spent themselves into a hole, politicians are trying to make us feel sorry for them as they devise ways to climb out with anything but real cuts. Watch your wallet and listen up. The terms used as they work through their problems are right out of Alice in Wonderland. Herewith, a short though incomplete list. cuts, n. Reductions not in dollars spent but in the rate at which spending is allowed to increase. The University of California budget, up 68% in eight years, is said to face "extraordinarily significant cuts," though it's scheduled for a 4.9% increase. Draconian,...

Charlotte AllenAuthor of The Human Christ.Sept. 11, 2001 was the day the Nineties died. Not the decade, of course, but the cultural phenomenon: the tasteful excess, the fretting over whether the baked Alma Ata yak brie really went with the organic spelt toast points, the days when "the president's blow job" meant something other than blasting al Qaeda the hell out of Tora Bora. America sobered up, and it was suddenly all right, even heroic, to be just an ordinary American. Frivolity is so over, so last-decade. That's why witty airheads like Maureen Dowd now come across as op-ed...

In the final Zogby America Poll before the November 5th elections, 51% of likely voters nationwide say they will vote Democratic in the upcoming Congressional elections, and 49% say they will vote for a Republican candidate.WRONG!Pollster John Zogby: "Barring a late calamity or anything else unforeseen, neither party goes into this election with the upper hand. The economy is the issue, as we have been saying for months, but the Democrats do not seem to be poised to take advantage. The last few Congressional elections have been virtually tied. Add another tie."WRONG!

Can Democrats OvercomePublic Ridicule On November 5th? ByMary Mostert Toogood Reports [Wednesday, October 30, 2002; 12:01 a.m. EST]URL: http://ToogoodReports.com/Last week, on Fox News´ Hannity and Colmes Show, Dick Morris, formerly Bill Clinton´s political guru, predicted, "I think there is a Democratic trend on …as of today, if the election is held right now, the Democrats take both houses."And why did he predict that? Because, he said, that´s what the polls show. If that sounds familiar, that´s because it IS familiar. Although Morris tries to convince us that he´s now really a Republican sympathizer, we are hearing from him pretty much...

If anyone doubted George Bush's intention to go to war with Iraq, that doubt should have been removed when the United States said it would "thwart" the return of the arms inspectors to Iraq until it got a new Security Council resolution. Of course, the resolution the United States wants is just a rubber stamp to start the war. It is designed to force the Iraqis to reject it and thus provide the international cover that Bush wants for his invasion. The meeting between the Iraqis and the arms inspectors in Vienna was quite successful. The Iraqis agreed to everything....

Jeb Bush thought he had the Florida voting booths licked. Idiot proof. Nitwit proof. Lunatic proof. He has yet to comprehend the depths of their black hole brains, the Last Fronteer, a place no sane person has gone before. If Captain Kirk tried to explore that endless void, he would cry, Scottie! Beam me up!Here is what I suggest to Jeb Bush: The people running the voting booths in various parts of Flori-duh need to be led by the hand like children. "This is the enter button. It is spelled, E,N,T,E,R. You take your finger, yes, that's a finger, and...

Why are liberals never called to task for their errors? It is truly an amazing thing. The fainthearted liberals who are always making such dire predictions of disaster for every bold move the U.S. makes in its own defense are never penalized when they are wrong. When their predictions prove wrong, as they do almost all of the time, nothing is ever said about it. They are never censored or called to task for their irresponsible – and potentially destructive – actions. However, God help the president and his cabinet who act boldly when America faces clear and apparent danger...

Traficant juror changes his mind; now convinced conviction was wrong 07/20/02 Sabrina Eaton and John Caniglia Plain Dealer Reporters Washington - A juror who helped convict U.S. Rep. James Traficant says his vote to find the Youngstown congressman guilty of 10 felonies in April was a mistake. He says he changed his mind after watching televised testimony before a House ethics panel this week. "I know it's after the fact, but now I believe that there's no doubt that the government was out to get him, and if they want you, they'll find enough evidence to make you believe that...
