Oscar Mayer is looking for 12 people to drive Wienermobiles across the U.S. One of them could be you.Last week, we reported that Smashing Pumpkins put out an open call for their new guitarist. Now, another cool job has opened up, and you don't need to know how to play a G chord. Oscar Mayer announced Monday that they are looking for their next round of Hotdoggers — aka the people who drive the famous Wienermobile. Traveling an average of 20,000 miles each year, Hotdoggers visit at least 40 cities across the country and attend more than 1,200 events. Each...

Some names are just the wurst. Just four months after announcing that the hot dog-shaped Wienermobile was changing its name to the Frankmobile, the one-of-a-kind wiener on wheels is reverting to the original. Oscar Mayer announced Wednesday on Instagram that the Frankmobile is toast. The Wienermobile rides again. The name change announced by The Kraft Heinz Company in May was meant to pay homage to the brand's 100% beef franks and their new recipe. For fans of the original name, the change was, frankly, ridiculous. “It’s been a franktastic summer!” the Instagram post said. “But like you, we missed this...

I remember as a kid how exciting it was to catch a glimpse of the Wienermobile driving down the streets of Madison. A hot dog on wheels!? No way. That's like the coolest thing in the world. Sometimes if you were lucky enough this bad boy would be parked outside the grocery store and you could get a real close up look, maybe even a quick tour of the inside. You'd sing that catchy little song about wishing to be a hot dog, and then you'd go on about your day — and it'd be the best day ever because...

MOUNT PLEASANT, Wis. - One southern Wisconsin homeowner is probably not in love with the Oscar Mayer wiener. The famed hot dog's Wienermobile crashed Friday into the deck and garage of a home in Mount Pleasant, about 35 miles south of Milwaukee. Police said the driver was trying to turn the Wienermobile around in the driveway and thought she was moving in reverse. But she instead went forward and hit the home. It sat in the driveway as if it were stuck in the garage Friday afternoon.

MANSFIELD -- Let's be frank: motor vehicle accidents aren't much fun for anyone. But when a 27-foot-long tube-steak spins out on a snow-covered highway, it's bound to generate some grins. That's what happened Sunday to an Oscar Mayer Wienermobile on Route 15 about two miles south of Mansfield (at least it didn't roll over). The growler contained two "hotdoggers" -- driver Emily Volpini, 22, of Lexington, Ky., and Caylen Goudie, 22, of Hinsdale, Ill. Although they didn't relish the experience, they weren't hurt, investigating state Trooper Rex Johnson said. "Hotdoggers" are goodwill ambassadors for Kraft Foods and Oscar Mayer. There...

I'm sure all too many of us have gotten disgusted with the idiotic antics of PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Well, with a little luck, it may be payback time. . . You see, driving home from grocery shopping yesterday, I heard an ad for Oscar Mayer's latest promotion: Win the Wienermobile for a Day: you just have to write an essay on how and where you'd use it. At this point, many of you are, no doubt, hearing a large-skulled lab mouse whisper into your ear: Are YOU pondering what **I'M** pondering ??? Yep. I am....
