FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26 NEWS) — A Med-Evac helicopter trying to leave Fresno was told to stay put Monday, along with many other flights trying to leave the area. The FAA isn’t saying why it issued the ground stop, but it came immediately after North Korea’s missile tests. The Fresno Airport says it wasn’t notified of a ground stop, because the FAA oversees all air traffic and oversees the tower at FAT. The airport says there were no major delays around the ground stop. We do, know, however, that a CALSTAR Med-Evac helicopter that flew to CRMC was temporarily stuck in...

A hospital in Maine is apologizing after the state's Human Rights Commission said workers had created a “wall of shame” ridiculing disabled patients and incorporating confidential medical information, according to CNN. MyKayla McCann, an employee who was treated at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, said that at least two co-workers looked at her medical records and that after she returned from a leave of absence she believed they were treating her differently. In September 2016, she reported her discomfort and the “wall of shame,” which included details of patients’ sexual activity, bodily functions and private parts, according to...

May I ask a question of anyone - I just sat down at my laptop to do a few things and the only site I can reach so far is FR. Nothing else. No gmail, no national weather service, Drudge, Breitbart, etc. I can mysterious access FR. Every other site I keep trying is not opening. Am I the only one this is happening to? I get this message on Chrome: This site can’t be reached twitter.com’s server DNS address could not be found. Try: Checking the proxy, firewall, and DNS configuration Running Windows Network Diagnostics DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_BAD_CONFIG And this on...

I'm not really one to get involved in "conspiracy" theories - but, like many here, I receive a number of emails from folks around the world on various topics.I have recently received more than a few, from some folks I know to be highly reputable, on some factors that have come to light about the school shootings in Sandy Hook. In the past I have just deleted these stories - not really worth my time to look farther into the latest 'wack-job' stuff. But this thing does seem to have some legs now. It seems to be a fact that the...

Just a quick thing I wanted to point out about NC early voting, one of few states that breaks it out by age: 2008: 18-29 14.9% 30-44 23.5% 45-64 40.2% 65+ 21.4% 2012: 18-29 10.8% (DOWN by 4.1%) 30-44 18.3% (DOWN by 5.2%) 45-59 29.1% (DOWN by 11.1%) 60+ 41.7% (UP by 20.3%) Older voters favor Romney...and are showing up in WAY higher numbers for early voting compared to 2008 early voting...while young voters who favor Obama are down to only 10% of early votes (from nearly 15% in 2008).

"Saudi Arabia has rejected Pakistan's nominated diplomat as his name translates into 'Biggest Dick' in Arabic. Akbar Zib, a high profile Pakistani diplomat was nominated for the Saudi post but after some hand-wringing the country had to reject him due to the unfortunate loss in translation. The diplomatic wrangle appears to bring to life the scene in Monty Python's Life of Brian where a Roman consort called Biggus Dickus is routinely mocked." Read More Saudi Arabians aren't particularly offended when terrorists blew up Western targets, but they get their panties in a bunch because a Pakistani diplomat's name translates into...

Originally I just saw a "thread pulled" message, but now it has: "Site has links to trutherism, don’t post it here again" So now content is banned because the site *links* to objectionable content? I'd suggest that's true of most major news outlets for one thing. "Free"republic should support "free speech", it's one of the cornerstones and strengths of our system. Censorship is the antithesis of the American system.

A judge in Stuttgart, Germany, is currently trying to decide on a lawsuit in which a man hired his neighbour to impregnate his wife. It gets weirder. Demetrius Soupolos, 29, and his former beauty queen wife, Traute, were very keen to have a child together, but Demetrius was sterile so they began to seek out other possible options. The option the couple eventually decided on was to hire their neighbour Frank Maus, 34, to impregnate Traute. Maus, who was already married with two children agreed to do the job for the fee of €2,000. For three evenings a week for...

PLEASE don't just erase this thread; after all, I'm now just finding out another problem here - I can't start a thread but from the "Home" page, and it always assumes you're posting to "News/Activism". So there is no way I can go to Bloggers/Personal as I had intended, apparently. So there's 1 problem and question - what happened there? And what happened that some things have changed - including, I can't seem to get the various "forums" to show me latest posts as opposed to whole threads? (This was a question the other day right when things changed; should've...

In his final days as president, Bill Clinton made an agreement with Independent Counsel Robert Ray to have his law license suspended for five years in lieu of disbarment proceedings by the Arkansas Supreme Court Committee on Professional Conduct. In the past, when a licensed attorney search was conducted for Bill Clinton, the Arkansas Judiciary website has shown the record of disciplinary action against Clinton. In a search conducted today, the information about Clinton's suspension has mysteriously disappeared. Old record: Attorney Record Name: William J. Clinton Address: 15 Old House Lane Address: Chappaqua NY 10514 Date First Licensed: 09/07/1973 Disciplinary...

An Indonesian fisherman who feared that he would be killed by tree-like growths covering his body has been given hope of recovery by an American doctor - and Vitamin A. Dede, now 35, baffled medical experts when warty "roots" began growing out of his arms and feet after he cut his knee in a teenage accident. The welts spread across his body unchecked and soon he was left unable to carry out everyday household tasks. Sacked from his job and deserted by his wife, Dede has been raising his two children - now in their late teens - in poverty,...

LOS ANGELES -- An immigration judge who previously denied a gay man's asylum bid on the grounds that he could conceal his sexual orientation if he returned to his native Mexico reversed the decision Tuesday. In allowing Jorge Sota Vega to remain in the United States, Judge John D. Taylor said that gays should not be required to dress or act a certain way to avoid persecution and that Vega's lawyers proved he would be at risk if he were deported to Mexico.

Today, a New York Times headline reads Rally Near White House Protests Violence in Mideast yet there is a lot they did not tell and show about the protests in DC and San Francisco that perhaps you ought to know. The Times reported: Thousands of people rallied near the White House on Saturday to protest what they described as Israeli aggression in Lebanon and the United States’ unwavering support for Israel. The diverse crowd included many Arab-Americans and Muslims, college students and families, as well as veterans of prior demonstrations against the war in Iraq. And they provided this photo of...

It was unbearably boring. Sure the last 20 minutes were ok, but the preceding two hours left me yawning. I’ve just seen it all before; guys in white armor with laser guns, guys hitting each other with light sabers, the stilted dialog, dinner theater acting and Lucas’ eight grade lefty politics. It all left me bored. I must confess to laughing out loud at Vader’s McBain impression (MENDOZA!!!) I’m so glad it’s over.

A spokesman for the National Republican Congressional Committee, which is hosting President Bush at a $2,500-a-plate fund-raiser this month, has confirmed that porn star and potential California lieutenant governor candidate Mary Carey will attend the event with her boss, pornographer Mark Kulkis, saying they've paid their money like everyone else. As WorldNetDaily reported, the buxom Carey, 24, ran for California governor against Arnold Schwarzenegger on a platform that included taxing breast enhancements, making lap dances tax deductible, recruiting porn stars as "ambassadors of good will" and putting Web cams up in every room of the governor's mansion. "I'm hoping to...
