So now content is banned because the site *links* to objectionable content? I'd suggest that's true of most major news outlets for one thing.
"Free"republic should support "free speech", it's one of the cornerstones and strengths of our system. Censorship is the antithesis of the American system.
Will 0bama crash the dollar and the banking system, causing a major revolt? Will he bring home tens of thousands of troops from overseas in preparation for a crisis?
I think a concerning event would be a purge of the Oathkeepers from the military, the possibility of which has been rumored.

Oh and, as I’ve discovered with the plethora of Catholic threads, since this site is owned by some guy named Jim, I’m pretty sure they can do whatever they like.

Sure, but this site is a discussion site with wide-ranging discussion of topics from trivial to important.
Why suppress discussion of a serious issue that is disturbingly plausible and directly affects the future of the Republic itself?
That's aside from the potential legal pitfalls of "moderating" posts - the site may be liable for content it should have caught, whereas non-moderated sites are able to leave responsibility with the poster.

The two big differences, truthers base their premise on antisemitism and hate, birthers do not. Second the Truther postulations are insane, the Birthers are at least semi coherent.
