Law enforcement and the FBI are investigating three unknown devices found at the Four Corners Power Plant Monday morning. According to investigators, the devices were each 6 inches in length and capped on both ends. They were found around 8 a.m. Farmington police's bomb squad is attempting to determine whether the devices are explosive. All employees have been evacuated. The Four Corners Power Plant is located in Fruitland about 25 miles southwest of Farmington

DEER LODGE — A half-naked driver who allegedly led Powell County sheriff's deputies on a high-speed chase was arraigned in Deer Lodge district court Tuesday. Louis Paul Coughlin, 34, of Bismarck, N.D., faces charges of assault on a peace officer and criminal endangerment, both felonies, and fleeing from or eluding an officer, a misdemeanor. (C&P) After the impact, Coughlin's vehicle rolled several times. Both vehicles landed on their wheels. Bender estimated the driver's speed at the time of the collision to be 100 mph, and Micu estimated he was going 45 to 50 mph.
