DEER LODGE A half-naked driver who allegedly led Powell County sheriff's deputies on a high-speed chase was arraigned in Deer Lodge district court Tuesday.
Louis Paul Coughlin, 34, of Bismarck, N.D., faces charges of assault on a peace officer and criminal endangerment, both felonies, and fleeing from or eluding an officer, a misdemeanor. (C&P) After the impact, Coughlin's vehicle rolled several times. Both vehicles landed on their wheels. Bender estimated the driver's speed at the time of the collision to be 100 mph, and Micu estimated he was going 45 to 50 mph.
