Maddox named state Democratic Party chief
Tallahassee Democrat ^ | Posted on Sun, Jan. 05, 2003 | By Nancy Cook Lauer

"It's fourth and 99," Maddox said, drawing on a football analogy to make his point. "We should be candid about it. The party doesn't have any funds. ... We're really in disarray. We're at the bottom of a very deep hole, but I've got a shovel and there's a lot of people down here with me with shovels, and we're going to dig our way out."

At least he knows what the problem is.. now the reality must set in that the Democrats will ALWAYS be in the MINORITY... if they try to pull to the middle they will just create more division in the party...

Maddox will soon realize that he is now the leader of a party which is destined to be the MINORITY OPOSITION PARTY!!...

Actually Mr Maddox, you don't DIG your way out of a hole, you CLIMB out of it. Digging while inside a hole just makes it deeper.

Regardless, keep digging, dumbass.

Our party is the Phoenix,

Only a Dem would choose an extinct myth as an emblem.

"They are the party of privilege; we stand for opportunity for all," Maddox said in a short speech punctuated several times by applause. "They're for Wall Street; we're for your street."

..... just when I thought he was going to "redefine" the Democratic Party, he spits out the same old rhetoric that noone is buying anymore...

Only a Dem would choose an extinct myth as an emblem.

ROFL... well, Ben Franklin wanted the turkey for America's symbol... and their current symbol is an ass as it is... and every one of their goals is a childish fantasy...

"Right now we don't have a voice at the table, and real people will suffer because we don't have that voice at the table," Maddox said, adding the party must do more to differentiate itself from Republicans.

I guess it wasn't "real people" that gave the Republicans a win. The "real people" must have been so intimidated by the Royles Royces, BMW's, Jags, and Mercedes parked outside the polls by the priviledged voters that they were too intimidated to vote.

"They are the party of privilege; we stand for opportunity for all," Maddox said in a short speech punctuated several times by applause. "They're for Wall Street; we're for your street."

Yes, that is exactly their problem, they do stand for "opportunity for all", the opportunity to be labled one of the "evil priviledge rich" if you and your wife make a combined income of 100,000 a year, heck if you make 60 grand your rich as far as Demoncrats are concerned.

They are for your street alright, intent on moving members of the "evil, rich, priviledged" middle class off their streets and into the poor house.

The demoncrats problem is that people have begun to know just who they mean by evil rich, and that they personally, working stiffs putting in 50 hours or more a week, are neither. Speeches like this lame excuse, will do nothing but bury them deeper as they pander more to the minorities engulfing the nation. It's not going to do much for Bush either.

something else very interesting is happening.. the Democrats have to continually re-define who the "rich" are.. apparently they don't realize that a large percentage of their base falls into that category... apparently a Republican who earns $100,000/yr is "evil-rich" and a Democrat who earns $100,000/yr is a "potential candidate"... or at least a potential campaign contributor, who can afford to buy a night in the Lincoln Bedroom..

After 3 decades of massive self inflicted abortion on their unborn children and pushing the drug scene, the population of the rat party is decreasing.

Add to that the last decade of the NEA making the gay life style look so wonderful and desireable to young male rats instead of education. Every young male rat that becomes a homosexual has about 10 years to live after they hit 20 with Aids, other terrible diseases and again the drug lifestyle.

The NEA has for several decades has dumbed down the Rat children in their schools. If they don't drop out, they are too poorly educated to escape minimum wages. That means that most of them will not be able to contribute to the Rat political campaigns. They can only vote two or three times, and that is starting to be monitored.

Last but least, most of the corporations that have gone belly up have been run/owned/ruined by big time Rat Donor$ to the Rat political campaigns. The campaign fund$ that used to swell the rat coffers, just aren't there. How much did Ted Fonda and Martha to be Jail Bird donate in 2002? Probably not much. How much did Bernie Swhartz of Loral donate in the last two years?

The agendas/mantras of the Party of Death have caught up with the Party of Death. Now they are on the down side of their population curve. Likewise their donations from Rich Rats are really on the downside. They have created agendas and situations for Darwin to really whack their numbers and devastate their financial backing.

YEP, they HAVE shovels called "red nancy" pelosi & "the right reverend al NOT-TOO-sharpton" and they seem destined to dig DOWN!

i, for one, hope them sucess in that venture. for one thing they are daily making the southland even more solidly GOP/CONSERVATIVE than before their debacle in 2002.

He's still alive, believe it or not. (His poor wife passed on earlier, though).
