Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) took a swing at Democratic “elites” who are pushing for President Biden to stand down from the 2024 race, warning they are also “not interested” in seeing Vice President Harris atop the ticket. Her comments came during an Instagram Live on Thursday night following former President Trump’s highly anticipated speech at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, where he officially accepted the GOP nomination for president.

(New York Jewish Week) — The Jewish Democratic Council of America, the leading Jewish organization affiliated with the Democratic Party, endorsed George Latimer in his bid to unseat New York Rep. Jamaal Bowman in the upcoming primary. It also endorsed Wesley Bell in his campaign to unseat Rep. Cori Bush in Missouri, marking the first time that the Jewish Democrats have endorsed primary challengers to Democratic incumbents. Both incumbents have been vocal critics of Israel. In New York’s 16th district, which covers southern Westchester County and a sliver of the northern Bronx and is home to a sizable Jewish community,...

Apparently AOC isn't anti-Israel enough for the two crazy Pallyweid [Pally Weid] demanding she just "says" the G word. AOC has a long record of anti-Israel outbursts and activities. But she has some idea how Gaza death regime uses its own people and how the Oct 7 war started. Yet, even this radical liberal's stand isn't enough. But they shout: say the G word. Say it. __ Anti-Israel protestors accost AOC outside theater, demand she accuse Israel of (so-called) genocide[sic] despite her anti-Israel record. Gary Willig, Mar 5, 2024, 4:00 PM * Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez harassed by anti-Israel protestors. The...

A former top aide to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, D-N.Y., funneled six figures in donor funds from his political action committee into his own pockets for reported consulting work, all while spending minimal amounts on the PAC's actual mission. Corbin Trent, who previously acted as a top aide to Ocasio-Cortez and helped propel her into office, formed the No Excuses PAC after his departure as her communications director in 2019 and exiting her campaign in 2020. Trent launched No Excuses in 2021 with the goal of nuking the Senate filibuster by targeting senators Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., and Kirsten Sinema, I-Ariz....

A 12-year-old Westchester County girl with a rare neurological condition has raised enough money to buy a new motorized wheelchair after her previous mobility aid was cruelly stolen from her front yard. Family friends of Aliyah Rivera, of Ossining, launched a fundraiser days after her wheelchair, laptop and other belongings were swiped just outside her house Thursday as she was getting ready for school. The preteen has been fighting Acute Flaccid Myelitis, an uncommon condition that attacks the nervous system – particularly a part of the spinal cord that causes the muscles and reflexes in the body to weaken, the...

A New York police officer who complained for months about receiving menacing text messages from her colleagues was arrested after investigators alleged she’d been the one sending them all along. Emily Hirshowitz, 36, of the Ossining Police Department, was charged at the Westchester District Attorney’s Office on Wednesday with four counts of third-degree falsely reporting an incident, along with three counts of first-degree filing a false instrument. The latter is a felony which accuses her of filing a report with the intention of defrauding. Beginning in May of 2022, Hirshowitz filed a report to the DA’s office that she was...

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas was “profoundly disrespectful” when disagreeing with fellow Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. Anchor Dana Bash said, “Thomas wrote, ‘Justice Jackson uses her broad observations about statistical relationships between race and select measures of health, wealth, and well-being to label all blacks as victims. Her desire to do so is unfathomable to me. It is an insult to individual achievement and cancerous to young minds seeking to push though barriers. Their race is not to blame for everything good or bad that happens in...

Former President Donald Trump applauded a suburban New York prosecutor after she dropped a two-year criminal investigation into him and his company.Westchester County District Attorney Mimi Rocah, a Democrat, said in a statement on June 15 that her office had closed the case against Trump after an investigation that was conducted “objectively, and independent of politics, party affiliation and personal or political beliefs.”Her office did not file charges against Trump or the Trump Organization.Trump applauded Rocah’s decision, writing on his Truth Social account that ending the investigation “WAS THE HONORABLE THING TO DO IN THAT I DID NOTHING WRONG.”“BUT WHERE...

In a rare bit of good legal news for Donald Trump, the Westchester County district attorney's office has ended a criminal investigation into the Trump Organization without bringing any charges, a person familiar with the investigation told Insider. District Attorney Mimi Rocah closed the investigation earlier in June, the person said. Elliott Jacobson, a special prosecutor hired by Rocah, departed the office in late 2022. He found that the evidence collected in the investigation couldn't support criminal charges, regarded conduct outside the statute of limitations, or overlapped with investigations underway by other law enforcement officials, according to the source, whose...

Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez concealed thousands of dollars in campaign spending, an ethics complaint exclusively obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation alleges. The Federal Election Commission (FEC) complaint cites more than $9,600 in reported campaign credit card expenditures that lacked information on the purpose of the charges. Dan Backer filed the complaint on behalf of the Coolidge Reagan Foundation, a nonprofit organization that’s levied similar complaints. “This Complaint arises from Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s repeated, blatant violations of federal campaign finance law to conceal how she spent thousands of dollars of campaign funds. On numerous occasions throughout 2022,...

AOC Needs to GO: Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is a Marxist revolutionary masquerading as a “defender” of “our democracy”. Of course, AOC’s definition of “democracy” is not inclusive at all. It is highly restrictive. Democracy, according to AOC and her fellow Democrats, is reserved only for the anointed few who believe in the same insanity that she (and her donors) do. That is why AOC’s recent tirades against the Supreme Court are so troubling. Up until recently, AOC could be ignored as an ignorant backbencher in Congress who got the perks of having a safe seat in Congress with no...

When Katie Thoms learned that Fern Hill Elementary School teachers had undergone training to instruct K-5 students about gender identity, she felt disheartened. “It’s inappropriate,” she said. “This subject matter is sensitive, and it should be discussed with children and their families. It’s also a distraction from the focus on education and what the school’s mission is really supposed to be.” Thoms, who lives in West Goshen Township, is the mother of a 10-year-old boy named David in the 4th grade at Fern Hill Elementary School. She monitors his schoolwork for signs of LGBT influences. “My husband and I ask...

The political pleasantries didn’t last long. Immediately after appearing together in public for the first time Friday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., took aim at Mayor Adams’ plan to erect a migrant tent camp in her district, charging that there’s a “better solution” to be had. The progressive congresswoman, who’s had a simmering beef with the more moderate-minded mayor for months, offered the rebuke in a brief interview with the Daily News on the steps of City Hall following a press conference with Adams on an unrelated topic. “I think we can get to a place with a better solution here,”...

I don’t know if the purpose of GQ‘s profile of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was to make its subject look like a whiny, cartoonish, spoiled, self-indulgent mediocrity, but that’s certainly the effect it had on me. At no point during the interview, it seems, did it occur to either the writer, Wesley Lowery, or his interviewee that the core problem that AOC faces is AOC — not other people. Take this line, for example, which represents just one part of a rambling, embarrassingly pseudo-eloquent answer to the question of whether, one day, she might be elected president:People ask me questions about the...

Is AOC Dropping Hints Of A Future Presidential Campaign? – Progressive New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez famously refused to confirm that she would back President Joe Biden in a 2024 campaign earlier this year, sparking rumors that she may be considering a run of her own. Since then, we’ve heard little else about it. There are no rumors of Ocasio-Cortez launching an exploratory committee and no signs that she is preparing to take on the Democratic party’s incumbent president. That doesn’t mean, though, that the leader of the party’s progressive wing is ruling it out forever.

Former senior White House adviser Cedric Richmond on Sunday dismissed criticism that the Biden administration’s move to cancel some student loan debt is unfair, saying that “everything doesn’t benefit everybody” reiterating that the plan will help the country’s working class. “Remember, everything doesn’t benefit everybody, but it’s about the common good, and this president is focused on working families and empowering people to reach their full potential, and I think that this does exactly what he’s trying to do,” Richmond said on “Fox News Sunday.” The Biden administration announced last week it’s forgiving up to $10,000 in federal student loan...

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez believes Americans should be more supportive of one another — and that we can start by embracing President Joe Biden's student loan forgiveness plan. On Saturday, one of Ocasio-Cortez's Instagram followers asked her, "How does cancelling student debt help us who paid their loans?" The New York representative, 32, respectfully took issue with the question and offered a lengthy response explaining why. "I've said it before and I'll say it again: Not every program has to be for everybody," Ocasio-Cortez replied, mentioning other programs that use taxpayer dollars to benefit specific populations — like first-time homeowner benefits,...

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) over the weekend defended the Biden administration’s plan to cancel a portion of student loan debt, suggesting that those who oppose it are selfish and contending that it is time for people to “reject the scarcity mindset that says doing something good for someone else comes at the cost of something for ourselves.” In a post to Instagram over the weekend, the far-left radical and longtime advocate for student loan debt cancellation defended the Biden administration’s decision to cancel $10,000 to $20,000 for borrowers, suggesting that it is wrong for taxpayers to be angry that their...
