New York state Democrats passed a bill to erase words like “mother” and “father” from Family Court Law — in the latest gender-neutral rewriting in the state’s official records.
“Mother” would be replaced with “gestating parent” while “father” becomes “non-gestating parent” and “paternity” proceedings would become “parentage” proceedings under the woke bill that was rammed through both houses of the state legislature this week.
A “putative father” in paternity proceedings would now be defined as “an alleged parent” under the bill, which was sponsored by liberals Sen. Luis Sepulveda (D-Bronx) and Assemblywoman Amy Paulin (D-Westchester) and goes to Gov. Kathy Hochul’s desk for approval.
Some members of the Democrat-dominated legislature rolled their eyes as they signed off on the clunky new phrasing, as the legislative session comes to a close for the fiscal year.
“I have a word we can use for this, ‘unnecessary,'” one Democratic lawmaker told The Post.
Democrat infighting had delayed approval of the massive $268 billion state budget by nearly two months before it was passed last week.
Hochul, who proudly wears the moniker of New York’s “first mom governor,” dodged on saying whether she supported the gender-neutral rewrite.

Mothers are only “gestating” for 9 months before the birth of a child. Even if they have 4 children, they are only gestating for 4 9-month periods, with no gestation for the rest of their lives.
But they remain mothers for the rest of their lives!
Mothers are mothers and fathers are fathers. Bureaucrats and politicians who seek to change what parents are called are just hooey-slingers, who are captive to the gaysbian, “trans”, and “non-binary” crowd!
