Politics in the state of Israel has never been more complex. One coalition is held together by the slimmest of reeds: opposition to one man — Benjamin Netanyahu. It’s a collection of liberal, conservative, and Arab parties that was formed primarily to defeat Netanyahu last year with Yair Lapid as its leader. Some oppose the two-time former prime minister for his alleged corruption. Others blanch at his policies in the Palestinian territories. But because the only real unifying factor for the opposition is hatred of Netanyahu, the governing coalition lasted only a few months. Netanyahu’s Likud coalition is a mish-mash...

OK, its been a little over 21 months. On 2020 election day we got home after voting. In an hour or two I had a premonition that Trump was not going to be allowed to win. I told the family that I am going to disconnect myself from all news on TV, radio, internet and anything else including FR of which I've been a member forever. Given the results I'm sure FR went beserk that day. My first 2 years in the Air Force I did statistics. Some years ago I thought....... if a program had all the election data...

It’s just the flu, bro. I have been lurking for many months since pausing the daily Flubro thread. I have seen the chaos around the world but I haven’t been inspired to post as I live in Texas, which is the greatest place on the planet. In Texas there are no Coronavirus rules or mandates so I am able to live in freedom here. But I think I finally have something worth saying. I think I finally see more clearly what is happening around the planet and in many states in the USA. It isn’t exactly socialism. Socialism is essentially...

Former Scientologist and King of Queens star Leah Remini said she has found “amazing†comfort in returning to the Catholic Church after leaving Scientology two years ago, contrasting Scientology’s abusive policies with Christianity. During an interview with Howard Stern Tuesday morning, the 45-year-old actress said she was so happy to be “reconnecting†to the faith of her childhood.Initially, Stern tried to lump all religions together as equally fanatical, but Remini jumped in, telling the shock jock he was making a big mistake.“I’ve come to the conclusion in my life that all religions are sorta nutty,†Stern said. “And, you know,...

(CNN) -- Robert Hegyes known for his role as Juan Epstein on the '70s sitcom "Welcome Back, Kotter," died on Thursday. He was 60. Hegyes was transported via ambulance from his home in Metuchen, New Jersey, Thursday morning, and was in full cardiac arrest by the time he reached the hospital, Steven Weiss, a spokesman for the JFK Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey, confirmed to CNN. "He was pronounced dead shortly after he arrived there," Weiss said. Hegyes' brother, Mark Hegyes, told The Star-Ledger that the actor had suffered a heart attack a couple of years ago and was...

NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- A woman was stabbed to death in what police say is the first slaying in the city since Hurricane Katrina. Police said they found the woman dead inside the home of New Orleans poet Jon Newlin, 56. Newlin had been beaten, they said, and was in critical condition at a hospital. Friends told authorities they discovered the two Tuesday when they went to Newlin's home. Newlin hadn't shown up for a breakfast date with a friend or work at a French Quarter bookstore that day. One or both of the victims may have known their attacker,...

Scranton solider, of 103rd Armor, says mission to Iraq was noble SCRANTON (PA) – The chills Sean O’Shea felt Saturday morning weren’t from the cold. The police escort, the bands, the cheers from people on the street and the safe return home from almost a year in Iraq overwhelmed the young soldier when the buses full of more than 150 troops from 2nd Battalion, 103rd Armor’s Charlie Company rolled along the route to the Watres Armory. “Half of those people probably didn’t even have anybody in there,” said O’Shea, 20, of the crowds that turned out for the homecoming. The...

The all knowing, all caring, all feeling, all sensing Maha Rushie was kicking ass and taking names again today. He's back. He's not taking any crap either. If anybody thought that this rehab changed his ideology then they should listen to today's show. When Rush starts to speak louder and with more passion I'll highlight and enlarge the lettering. Here is part of Rush's show this morning. He kicked ass. He was talking about the "Hate Bush" meeting. ""You know this group of people. This actor Harold Ickes. These actors, the actors wives, and this whole bunch. Ron Emmanuel's brother...

As President Bush flew over the North Atlantic on Friday, heading home from three days as the houseguest of Queen Elizabeth, he switched his attention from the glamour of royal Britain to the grit of American politics. From Air Force One, with his politically critical Medicare bill in precarious straits on Capitol Hill, Mr. Bush placed calls to pressure wavering House Republicans. Karl Rove, Mr. Bush's chief political aide, had already made calls from Buckingham Palace, House Republicans said. So when the presidential helicopter landed at 6:20 p.m. on the White House South Lawn, it was no surprise that Mr....

So thank goodness Rush has triumphantly returned this week from drug rehabilitation to his rightful place behind the EIB Golden Microphone. And thank goodness his audience has in no way deserted him; indeed, the ratings indicate that his popularity are higher than ever. We conservatives hate the sin, but love the sinner. For liberals, it is just the opposite. It's especially heartening in listening to Rush this week that he hasn't taken any of the sting out of his whip. His latest tirade against the awful Medicare prescription-drug bill is a sanity check countering the GOP spin machine — a...

Rush Limbaugh returned to the radio after five weeks in a drug treatment program with all the bluster and bombast for which he is famous. Limbaugh, who has the largest radio audience in the nation for his conservative talk show, withdrew from the airwaves last month after his addiction to pain killers was revealed. He seems to have lost none of his antipathy for Democrats, liberal causes, "enviro wackos" and Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., in the interim. Limbaugh did admit that he had lied for years about his addiction, which he said began when he took the narcotics for pain...

Top rated radio talker Rush Limbaugh defended himself against charges of hypocrisy on Monday, telling a caller that the fact he was addicted to painkillers doesn't undermine the validity of the positions he took on the air. "My behavior doesn't change right and wrong," Limbaugh contended. "And just because I may have been doing something that appeared to be contradictory to what I was suggesting others do doesn't mean that what I was suggesting others do is wrong." The conservative host also said that some of the quotes unearthed by his critics on the issue of drug usage had been...

It's been an "intense four weeks," Rush Limbaugh told his radio listeners on Monday - his first day back behind the "golden EIB microphone" since he checked himself into a drug rehab center last month, following news about his prescription painkiller addiction. Limbaugh said he didn't keep track of the news during his stay at a rehab center because that would have been "counterproductive to what I had to do." He called the four weeks of rehabilitation "a wonderful process" - the most educational and informative weeks he's ever spent. "I came to realize some things while I was away...

<p>Rush Limbaugh told listeners yesterday he feels "reborn" at age 52 as a result of his five weeks of treatment for addiction to prescription painkillers.</p>
<p>"I'm nervous. I have butterflies in my stomach. I've been anticipating this moment since last Wednesday afternoon, after being discharged from the treatment center," the nation's most popular talk-radio host said when he returned to the airwaves after spending 33 days in an Arizona rehabilitation center.</p>
