Colorado’s Secretary of State revealed Wednesday that the U.S. Department of Justice asked Colorado to turn over all records that relate to the 2024 federal elections and preserve all records from the 2020 election. The election official sent an email highlighting reporting by NPR, which said the DOJ request was made on May 12. “What they’re going to do with all this data, I don’t know,” Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold, a Democrat, told NPR and shared with FOX31 via email. “But I’m sure they will use it to push their ridiculous disinformation and lies to the American public.”...

The senators who are most likely to reject President Trump's nominees are the very ones who want to challenge him in 2020. The Hill's review of two-and-a-half years of vote totals shows Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) and Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) voted against more Trump nominees than any other senator. At the same time, Republicans voted virtually in lock step for Trump's nominees; the average GOP senator backed 99 percent of his picks, and the one who went rogue most often -- Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) -- still voted to confirm 93 percent of his nominees. Trump's picks...

Personal data on 198 million voters, including analytics data that suggests who a person is likely to vote for and why, was stored on an unsecured Amazon server. A huge trove of voter data, including personal information and voter profiling data on what's thought to be every registered US voter dating back more than a decade, has been found on an exposed and unsecured server, ZDNet has learned. ... The exposed records include files provided by Data Trust, a data warehouse created by the GOP to serve as its exclusive data provider of voter records. ...

I have created a spreadsheet of Senate votes to date in re 1384 and the various amendments; the thought is that it would be useful to rate proposed amendments as favorable or unfavorable, then see how each Senator votes. This will help when contacting Senators on this legislation ("Why did you vote to support X?") as well as provide future reference for fundraising, opposition research, etc. The goal is to have a reliable source of info to hold Senators accountable for their votes and our citizenship.

I'm trying to persuade my mother-in-law (an otherwise wonderful person) that she should vote Republican because Republicans are more likely to secure our borders and prevent terrorist attacks. She's adamantly opposed to the war in Iraq, but is very concerned about the threat posed to this country. I need very concise proof on her key areas of concern. Is there a web site on which I can easily look up the total vote by party (as well as how each Senator and Representative voted) on such issues as monitoring likely terrorist related phone calls, tracing terrorist related money flows, halting...

A lady at the Republican Headquarters gave me a copy of this, I don't know how to copy the PDF file to print it here. It's a great comparison chart, has Presidential & Illinois Senators comparisons on all issues. It is being distributed by Concerned Women for America of Illinois. If someone can copy & post it here, it would be a great handout, if not from Illinois, could just use the Presidential part of it. Here is the url for the pdf chart: http://states.cwfa.org/images/content/2004CandidateComparison.pdf

Tell the Media: Please Cover Senator Kerry's 20 Year Senate Record! (easy action item)As many of you know (especially if you listened to Hannity today) the media, while crawling through President Bush's dental records, has virtually ignored any discussion of Senator Kerry's 20 year record in the Senate. This sort of imbalance in coverage is unacceptable. To make an informed decision, the people must know that, while he talks a lot and makes a lot of promises, there is nothing that Senator Kerry has done in the Senate to suggest he would make a better president than President Bush. Please contact...

January 15, 2003 Wyoming, Utah Senators Most in Harmony During Last Session The Senate duo from Wyoming was the chamber's most agreeable pair in 2002. Republican Sens. Craig Thomas and Michael B. Enzi voted the same way on 225 of 234 roll call votes in which both participated, an agreement rate of 96.2 percent, CQ research shows. They edged by one-tenth of a percentage point past the Republican senators from neighboring Utah, Robert F. Bennett and Orrin G. Hatch, who voted alike on 224 of 233 votes. The typical Senate pair agreed on 87.5 percent of votes last year, and...

Golly, my first vanity. And before any smart-alecks jump in with "And we hope it's your last!", I hope it's my last. There. Beat ya to it. $;-) I am looking for an information source, on the web preferably, that provides listings of how a given California State legislator has voted on various state bills. I ask this on behalf of some NRA-member friends of mine still working behind enemy lines, where a candidate named Ducheny is running again, and she has the NRA's endorsement as a pro-gun Democrat. It's their recollection is that she was absent or abstained from...
