Yesterday, we at the Media Research Center went to the MoveOn.org “We Are One” union rally in Washington, D.C. held outside of the Treasury building to ask the people why they were there protesting. All of the groups taking part of the rally included: the AFL-CIO, American Federation of Teachers, CommonCause, Communication Workers of America, Greenpeace, International Brotherhood of Teamsters, MoveOn, NAACP, National Education Association, SEIU, United Food and Commercial Workers, and USAction. Given it was blatantly obvious beforehand they were rallying against the Koch brothers despite marketing it as standing up for MLK’s dream, I figured I’d ask them...

The stupidity encapsulated within this video is astonishing. Thankfully Larry O’Connor of Breitbart TV has blasted this idiotic chant for us and I can now avoid the brain aneurysm that would inevitably result from me thinking about this video for more than five seconds: Free? So, teachers don’t get paid? Oh, teachers DO get paid. So who pays the teachers? Oh. So, it isn’t really free, is it? What they mean to chant is: “No cuts. No fees (for me), My education should be paid for by someone else.” But, that doesn’t really rhyme, does it?

As Wisconsin’s public union protesters make national headlines, Herb Kohl, the Badger State’s long-serving Democratic senator, has kept a low profile. Prominent Wisconsin Democrats such as former Sen. COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Crowds of public employees protesting a sweeping Ohio proposal to strip unions of collective bargaining rights are wearing red in an effort to steer public opinion away from the idea that unions are all-Democrat organizations. The move came as union protests by firefighters, teachers, police and state workers were joined by a smaller number of tea party activists who support the legislation. The measure would end collective bargaining and replace negotiated salary schedules with merit raises.
