As 2024 comes to a close, so does the final celestial show for skywatchers of the year: the Ursid meteor shower. The Ursids will be most active between Dec. 21 and 22, peaking on the 22nd. This makes it a perfect focus for nighttime winter solstice skywatching in the Northern Hemisphere.
