Fox News just reported on the KABC "snap poll" conducted after Arnold's apology. They reported that 10% of those who were planning on voting for Arnold have now changed their minds and are voting for someone else. But, 12% who were not planning on voting for Arnold prior to the apology have now decided to vote for Arnold. This gives Arnold a 2% net boost in his support.

KABC just reported on its 11:00PM broadcast that after Arnold's apology this morning in San Diego he has gained 2% from people who were previously not planning on voting for him.

<p>September 10, 2003 -- LOS ANGELES - Peter Ueberroth benched himself from the California recall race yesterday, boosting Arnold Schwarzenegger's GOP bid for the governor's chair. The former baseball commissioner quit the race after a poll showed he was running in fourth place with just a projected 5 percent of the vote. Ueberroth's strikeout turns up the heat on GOP state Sen. Tom McClintock, the running in third place with 13 percent. The poll showed Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante with 30 percent of the vote to Schwarzenegger's 25 percent.</p>

On KFI this evening the hosts of the John & Ken show said that Gray Davis is sitting on over 400 bills. They claim that he can sign these bills even after he is recalled. I believe they said he had 28 days after the election to sign these bills and make them law. Can someone verify this? If true, this is bad news for California.
