Not because of the apology. Because of the weak hit. Team Arnold had been careful to build up that this kind of thing would be out and it would be dozens and hundreds. So pople now say, "Hey, if that's all they got, the guy must be pretty good."

Was this your poll?
If so, has there been any slippage in the recall yes/no?
Thanks.

When he announced his entry as a candidate, Arnold foretold of the dirty campaign which would follow.
Fellow dems warned Davis, to no avail.
It will be poetic justice, if the public reacts by punishing dems for their dirty tactics. LAs radio duo Ken & John were red hot today, about the LA Times.
They noted there is no serious competitor, to the big city paper. Also noted was the lack of other serious reporting, by local TV, which they said got their news from the Times (and read it on the air).

Great news! The Dems slime tactics are backfiring!
To: ambrose
Haha! You got me there amrbose! I suppose Arnold is benefitting from this with the previously undecided, yet groping-leaning or nazi-leaning demographic!

While I'd be highly skeptical of any poll taken on less than a one-day turnaround, I could see some voters actually choosing to vote for Arnold based on this because:
1) they think the media is unnecessarily prying into old news about his private life and they feel sorry for him.
2) they think he handled the issue very well instead of the traditional Clintonesque "deny till they've got the goods and then blame the accuser" m.o.
3) some of them wish *they* had been groped by Arnold.
This *is* Kookifornia, remember?

Because they can see these accusation for what they are: Dem dirty tactics and they are seding the Dems a message.
