French President Emmanuel Macron said that a major Russian air barrage against Ukraine on Sunday showed that Russian President Vladimir Putin "does not want peace and is not ready to negotiate". The priority for France was to "equip, support and help Ukraine to resist", Macron told reporters as he prepared to leave Argentina to attend the G20 Summit in Brazil. He declined to comment on German Chancellor Olaf Scholz's call with Putin on Friday, adding that Ukraine's allies "must remain united .... on an agenda for genuine peace, that is to say, a peace that does not mean Ukraine's surrender".

White House aides are leaving the administration before the fall midterms as one top official said that many staffers are simply 'tapped out.' The Hill Newspaper reported Thursday on the burnout being felt inside 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., as President Joe Biden has had to deal with a pandemic, a war, rising inflation, a baby formula shortage, among other things, after 17 months in office, and for some staff, a year or more on the campaign trail. Chuck Liddell, who is often credited (with fellow UFC fighter, Randy Couture) for bringing mixed martial arts into the mainstream, will be making a mainstream appearance of a different kind, on the upcoming ninth season of Dancing with the Stars. Liddell has an extensive background in Kempo and Koei-Kan Karate and is considered mostly a ‘stand up’ fighter (as opposed to a ‘ground’ fighter). It will no doubt be very interesting to see if a karate and kickboxing background translate into dance.
