I am warming up to watch the documentary Rather, celebrating the career of the disgraced former CBS News anchor. It is to be aired this coming Wednesday on Netflix. Apparently having access to a screener for media critics, the Star Tribune’s Neal Justin found the documentary to be wanting (“when it comes to the stumbles, like walking off the set when a tennis match went long, the legendary broadcaster goes missing”). On Friday, The Washington Post reported what may be obvious. On his own website, disgraced former CBS anchor Dan Rather is thrilled someone’s making a Rathergate movie based on a book by his producer Mary Mapes, the Bonnie to his Clod. It's sad the Hollywood Left is handing money over to Mapes for trying to dig out of that journalistic fiasco.
